OpTic have changed their roster almost every season since the dynasty and stack as much talent as they can but it doesn't work. Getting Hydra for Pred or Scrap for Kenny/Dashy wouldn't change anything. The current roster has proven they can win and one bad stage after placing top 3 every other major shouldn't stop them from running it back next season.
They need a player like nadeshot a team full of superstar create clash in ego they need someone like prestah who can ice out when u need him but who also play more of a supporting role

dynasties only count of you win champs of that year. every other sports dynasty only is considered a dynasty when that team basically wins out and then completes the year with their respective overall championship but it also doesnt have to be consective for example alabama won the national championship 2009,2011,2012,2015,2017,2020 basically every other year but those years are considered their dynasty years even though the years in between they were dominant but just failed to win their championship. using that same logic optic only has one complete dynasty year. faze only has the cold war "dynasty" since they won all their majors but two and they topped it off with winning champs. col only won champs giving them only a ghosts "dynasty".

My honest opinion on why faze choke: 1. Every team studies them because they are the best so if a team happens to make a finals they got a good idea of how faze play already 2. They never come in with momentum because of the loser bracket runs made by some teams 3. They seem to change their play style and mindset knowing if they lose they’re getting clowned on
Yes, I think this is a good conclusion. It is a combination of going against a team with momentum (LAG, LAT 2022, TOR 2024, NYSL 2024) and high pressure and expectations. It is difficult to build up such a momentum if you are playing constantly at a top level. Sometimes I feel like losing some more would be good for them. Also it feels like there is often one small point which decides the series, where they can't recover from in those moments. E.g. last years 5-2 choke in SND, or losing HP Rio this year after being up 60 points. Nonetheless they are still the best team in the CDL. Constant 1st at the end of the year. Most CDL titles overall, despite having a worse conversion in the GFs then others. But this comes from CW. Only two majors in three seasons up until now is definitely below their expecations.
Feel bad for pred and especially Kenny overall good guy insane comms and he just knows how to play cod but if scump and formal comes back man will that be fun to watch scump seems comfortable retired and making tons of money from the watch party so idk if he’s sold on returning

Faze exists in the best of 7 finals era, if this still was the double best of 5 they would have found more success. Faze is as much if not more dominant than the other dynasties. Teams may be extremely close in talent but for the last few years teams are trying to find their own simp and abezy. Faze is 100% a dynasty.

I think the winners bracket format has more to do with faze not clutching. I think the stat is 9-2. Which looks bad. But if it's genuinely a 50-50 the they would be able to win 4.5, and they have won 2. So they are winning 50% of gf. In a way

Would be a disgusting team and I wanna see the optic roster stick together as they are rn I have faith in them to make decent run at champs. Anything below top 3 is a disappointment I think tbh and even then if they play good enough to get top 3 you’d expect they play good enough to get to the finals

In my very nob professional opinion pred is playing too slow and shotzzy is playing too fast. So Kenny and dashy overcompensate. Thats whats going on with the team, optic thrive when they control the pace and are dogwater when the pace isnt in their favor

I get FaZe are dominant and all but look at the champs format and the way the CDL is, with that perspective you could say FaZe has greatly underperformed considering they only have 2-3 truly competitive teams to fight against, if faze win and go all the way to grand finals at champs that’s like 3-4 series, back in the day teams played 6-7 series in 1 day. It’s just all about perspective.
