*love how the dude threw a steel ball last time and this time it was a baseball* ⚾️ 😂
Your supercut was better than the event.
the pitch at the window was pure comedy
Yeah it was supposed to be a joke but now many haters are using it as more fuel to hate on the man and company.
Seriously! They could have gotten a ball that at least looked like it was made of metal! Paint it silver or something.
I think it would’ve been a better move to go all out on the self awareness as throw an obvious foam or yarn ball at it this time lol
@@ogzombieblunt4626Lol it would be a bad joke. But i think you're just coping
Yes, literally comedy as in on purpose as a joke
Congrats to Tesla's staging team for inventing "corporate noir"... where the CEO delivers his highly anticipated presentation from the shadows.
Elon being Elon. Don't expect anyone was predicting he would stand in the bed.
@@Dularr I figured the same thing, but I also know that a spot light is a very standard piece of staging gear. Elon is also smart and if he wants to live in the limelight, then he should know by now that: if you don't have a bright light in your eyes, then nobody can see you on a stage.
They probably have tape marks on where to park the truck and where to stand, but he just missed the marks or ignored them.
The baby screaming during his speech was also a nice touch.
I cracked up. So funny.
Saw one yesterday in the bay area. It is a real head turner, sort of like seeing a restored DeLorean car crossed with the Six Million Dollar Man Venus Death Probe. It’s really impressive that they actually brought this thing to market. Hope it sells well and is actually used as a real truck vs a baller vehicle. Unfortunately, I think it will be the latter at least initially. Kudos to Tesla.
Using a baseball instead of a metal ball was so dumb
It was a poorly implemented joke lol
@@ogzombieblunt4626 A nerf ball would have been the best. Even more buzz and media furor.
"It can tow a 2023 Porche 911 faster than a 2023 Porsche 911 can drive by itself."
Depends on the 911 which makes the statement false.
@@Deveonn Not really, they proved it. To me, that was the most entertaining and dramatic part of the dysfunctional/disorganized event. Tesla should have done a much better job with the video and its presentation.
@@illiyakuryakin3092 911 Turbo S does 0-100 in 2.7, same as Cybertruck trimotor, however they probably used a 911 Cerrera 4. Don't get me wrong, it's still very impressive, however not the fastest the statement is false.
@@Deveonn The point was, the car in the demonstration WAS A 911.
@@illiyakuryakin3092 Yes but it's not faster then a 911 driving by itself, just that specific model. It's like dragracing against a Model S Long Range and claiming it's faster then a Model S.
Can't believe it has been four years. It feels like we have come full circle.
Congrats to the Tesla Team and all of the long retail investors.
We have not come full circle because everything he promised four years ago turned out to be a lie
It cost double the original price and not profitable for Tesla... sad day for investors
Not true. They added more than they subtracted. Bidirectional charging and that 0 to 60 time are both great. The bidirectional charging would be like having four power walls
@@-jovoc they’re never profitable until you get into mass production. Do you know anything about manufacturing? Why do you think Ferrari charges 350,000 for some of their cars? They are not mass produced.
@@-jovoc learn math. None of them cost double the price.
Tesla really needs to up their game in showcasing events.
ok i suppose you have the more IQs then elon musk lol?
@@blob2092 it doesn't take much to do better than that.
Under promise, and over deliver! The next Tesla is Tesla!
It’s not like this is the first event of the cybertruck 😂
Musk is in some ways a terrible speaker, but I still think it's better for him to pitch his company's products. You can tell he loves it, and that's what counts. You could easily get a smoother talker, and no one would trust it as much.
“Cyberbeast” ($99,990), best name ever!
Have to be honest ROB that presentation looked like it was thought out about an hour before hand.
Probably was. I don't think Elon finds it super important. He comes from a "the product will speak for itself" kinda view I'd say. Still not a great look especially the first minutes.
If you have to be honest you would not post such BS.
I love Tesla and I think Elon is great, but that presentation was awful.
I always think that the start time for the event is actually when Elon starts practicing for the event. And then he comes out whenever he's done.
Cybertruck has been presented for weeks all over the U.S. and other countries for weeks and this being a delivery event meant they could get through the highlights and get to delivering the trucks pronto.
Whoever is in charge of lighting for the event is getting fired.
I agree. In fact, the videos were poorly shown, Elon had no idea where to stand and was fumbling through what he wanted to say, there where way too many people on stage so he had to stand in the back, and they were blocking the show car from driving further forward, the presentation to the owners was disorganized, as most did not know how to open the door, and then Elon was not even advised how many cars were to be presented.
Your supercuts of the events are the best!
It was so underwhelming, I didn't think it lasted 13min so amazing you managed a 13min supercut.
It was shorter than they were late.
That drag race is hilarious! Way to go, cybertruck!
Great supercut Rob as always.
I'd like to see a load cell in the tow bar, so that the software can know exactly what it's pulling and give a realisting estimated range.
Incredible supercut. Thanks, Rob!
They got more respect from me when they threw a steel ball at the window and broke it than now throwing a "baseball" at it, which sounded and bounced off the ground more like a tennis ball.
Cant believe it here! EPIC. Tx Rob for the super cut
nice cut job. Thanks Rob.
Talk about under delivering. $30k price increase with notably worse range and towing.
Thanks Rob! Great work as usual!
I think we got a big win with the accessories. The wrap being my fav.
Yeah good accessories, but I think people are forgetting that the compressor, lightbar, tailgate ramps were all supposed to be built in, not add ons for additional money.
"Supposed to be"
Says who
@@takenoshortcutselon
And THAT is how it's done folks! (Cheers to Elon and the brilliant team at Tesla, for making America great again.)
Thanks Rob!
The truck pull was so cool! and the Porsche against the towed Porsche :D
Nice edit Jason 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thank you, happy Cyber Thursday!
@@jasemashkanani sorry I did write Jasem but of course it autocorrected! Thanks again for the edit 👏🏼
Sounds so weird without sirens blaring in the background lmao. You rock
Thanks, Rob.
That speed test was ludicrous
Lmao Elon Musk presenting in the dark was just XD
Thanks, Jasem.
Love it!
That drag race is insane
Thank you!
The dual motor will be the hot ticket but what does the range extender cost? Size? Weight. In the bed taking up cargo space? FSD? V2H? If you have a reservation do you have to reserve again?
$16k apparently
The steer-by-wire is the most intriguing tech. I wonder if that will make to the S and X for right side driving support.🤔
Oh that was Brilliant, U never saw that coming not one iota!
That drag race was brilliant 👏👏👏
You did a great job with this shortened film but you still managed to save the best bit!
Amazing
If one has a TriMotor reservation do you think Tesla would allow you to opt down to the Dual motor CT? 🤔
I allotted 120,000 from my cyber truck. With full self-driving & beast I am a HAPPY CAMPER
Can someone explain the truck pull? Couldn't you just keep on going, or do you need to brake after a certain number of seconds?! Thanks
The weight on the sled gradually moves forward, putting more and more weight on the front skid, until finally the truck can’t keep going. These sleds are used in truck pulls and tractor pulls.
Smarter Every Day had a video on them a little while back - you can see the mechanics of it there.
@@ChitFromChinola Thank you.
Great edit. Pricing and range were on the website. But no where have I heard what the production rate is currently would love to know if it is one a day, one a shift, one and hour or what. Trying to figure out when I might get my call to configure
It changes literally daily. No use publishing numbers that are going to be wrong tomorrow.
Here’s a clue. It starts very low and then accelerates. Pick your own numbers.
I think according to reservation tracker that I am somewhere around 1800. 10 a day means 180 days. But 24 a day and I have it in the first quarter. So I will be watching the reports to see if I can get a sense of it
@@royphillips7644 Here's a clue: No one is disputing that. What he wants to know is what that starting number is.
The intro is like an ad for Iceland ;)
I made the mistake of looking at one of these launch videos and now my UA-cam homepage is full of them.
Thank You Tesla Teams
Porsche should thank the Cybertruck for helping it beat its own record.
Deserves way more likes guys👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow!
Crazy 👍👍👍
Yes! Want one!
Priced way higher than initially presented but Tesla fixed it good with all the new important technologies integrated. Remains to see how it fully compares with other EV trucks in its usefullnes and versatility.
Ya!
Why does every Tesla event look like they planned it in about 5 minutes and it was executed by a bunch of kindergarteners? I mean they have amazing products and then their events are the most amateur unprofessional things i've ever seen. Unreal.
The visuals and flow were well prepared (minus missing info), but none of the people there, including Musk, drivers, and cameramen, had been prepped.
It felt like Musk and his mates were trying to create their first presentation for a school project.
@@Jimmy_Jones Exactly! ALL their events are like this whether it's the Model S Plaid event or Battery Day or whatever (let's not mention the Tesla Bot dancing robot person) ... so I guess it's the Tesla brand.
@@thomasreese2816 Yes to be fair the prepared "ads" were and are nice, thankfully. Can you imagine if they weren't? :) But I guess with such amazing products it's just so bizarre that the events are so haphazard. I think it's Elon's preference I suppose, just get up there with a mic and start talking.
They focus on product, not flair. The attitude is prevalent at every level throughout the company. People always try to compare Tesla to Apple, Tesla is not Apple and Elon is not Steve Jobs. Thank God.
Its weird the important not mentioned like range and pricing. But you have to find out at their site.
it's shown at the end but yeah bit weird
They do that to get more visitors to their site.
It's crazy to me how after all these years Tesla still has such a janky event production lol
The Teslafanboys will still enjoy it.
@@pa_2600then why make such a spectacle for this event. Raffle away tickets to shareholdes, sell tickets for 30k referral points each, etc.
Cyberbeast lets ****ing go! 💯🚀👊

Couldn't believe so many important details haven't been mentioned during the presentation, missed opportunity imo.
Its mostly because those details are bad
SEC Rules were an issue. they would have had to do a filing to disclose the information if they released material info during the trading day.
Does the price include FSD? I doubt it!!
@@dennisolsen8945no of course not, FSD is an option

‘Mr Carnage’ just enter the room.
To me the most interesting Cybertruck configuration is the 2025 Rear Wheel Drive model ,as it may possibly be provided with LFP 4680 batteries. The next most interesting configuration is not listed and was not mentioned, the over 500-mile long range version. This long range version will likely require significant 4680 battery cell improvements, such as silicon anodes and dry or hybrid wet/dry electrodes.
I've been told all CTs will have 4680 cells.
They sell a removable battery pack that you put in the truck bed. Its on the websita as range extender but was indeed not mentioned in the presentation
The Frick brought a baby o.o
5:47 okay yeah but is the glass bulletproof? Kind of don't want bullets going through my head
Doubtful. While that stuff is used as armor I think it needs to be thicker.
800 volt arch! 48v low voltage, and so much more
That price was much higher than expected. I guess we got that incentive though
Original price was 4 years ago - pre-pandemic. How much inflation since then? My grocery bills are up 50% since 2019
@@BALANCEDPORTFOLIO after infaltion, up 25% or more
I am excited overall to buy the truck but that event was lame. I think a lot of people will not move forward due to the lower than expected range and higher than expected price.
300 plus miles on the dual motor as promised
If reservation holders get the old fsd price at the time of reservation, then all these models get fsd for 5 more. Reservation holders that are fine with a massive truck and have the money will be buying. Every construction company owner will have one. If the range holds out, just watch, sales will spike. This will be the only EV truck that can travel around the country like a normal vehicle.
1.5M pre orders! And the truck will only get better!
@@brettmciver432for 30k more without a built in tailgate ramp, compressor, lightbar, or 6th seat like originally described.

That was very disappointing as a remote event. Im sure it was great for you guys on site!
huh?
@@franklynkelly No mention of trim, price, accessories (wraps, tent...). We waited 4 years to get more info on the actual product and it came short. I got more details from people posting from the event than th event itself. Have to say that I’m bummed the truck doesn’t have better range. 340 max seems so low. That’ll be 300 after a few years of ownership. 😞 Everything else looks great.
What about the range extender? I’d like to know how that works and what it costs. Most ppl probably don’t need more range, but for those who do, it’s an option.
@@saboteurthe Looking at the pics of the extender it's unclear if it takes room from the bed, or takes over the storage area under the bed. The latter would be ok, the former a total bummer!
@@anotterspov Looks like it sits in the bed. Possibly costs $16k.
@@anotterspovit sits in the bed and takes up about 1/3 of it. According to Elon on X.
@@saboteurthethe word is 10k which sounds about right for battery prices. Adding about 120 more miles of range. You can replace a M3 battery for about 9k but Tesla keeps your old pack, which is very valuable.
Stiffer than a McClaren Sportscar. Won't even need to push the BLUE button on the dash!!!!!

Ford F150 raptor starts at $80,000. If the cyber truck doesn’t do it for you get a raptor. Get a Rivian it starts at $80,000. Just get out of the queue so I can pick up my cyber truck.

i wonder how many poorsche owner poop there pants watching this video loool
Range? Variants? Price? Tesla does everything so well… except these events. So strange!
It almost looked like they left it out on purpose as if they want to hide it for some reason.
It is on the website
because the varients are available for years and the prices are much higher than promised
SEC Rules would have required them to do a filing prior if they were going to release material info during a trading day. This wasn't negligence, this was legal and compliance.
Like just go look on the website. An event isn't going to read the website to you.
The Website says deliveries in '24 😅 no month, nothing... so they are not late 4 years but 5 years minimum...

Haha another improvised tesla presentation.
Will Cybertruck run on the Moon or Mars _as-is_ ,
or will it need modifications ?
I would think the thermal management would need to be different. No air means cooling/heating has to be handled different. Besides, it's not a good design for a Mars or Moon vehicle. A cyber shoebox shape would be far more practical.
@@TheEvilmooseofdoom Good point about the shape.
I wonder if there's a time of the day, when it wasn't too hot or cold,
that a stock Cybertruck could drive a little bit.
I heard that rocks on Moon & Mars are very sharp. Not sure rubber tires can handle that.
