Both good tractors Gerry, or so it appears anyways.
Always heard six cylinder for road haulage and the four cylinder for field work as in ploughing and tilling.
Both based on fuel usage, comfort and practicality

No bad tractors nowadays its all down to dealer backup and service i know a few folk who were running a well known marque for years then along came a demo and they suddenly realised there were even better tractors and dealer back up and service quality than they were running . Needless to say they changed one not lon after the demo and now one company run total oppesite to what they had previously . I must mention that the company had ford and newholland tractors . And swore by them for decades . Now run valtras off various sizes . It all came down to back up and service it does a gd thing takin a demo now and again . Hope ur all well gerry and family all the best pls take care and safe too .

visibility out the front from the Kubota is quite a bit better due to the shorter hood. cool to see that side by side.
would like to see what the cost of each after a week/80hrs of work, fuel economy, etc.
IMHO: 3km/hr is not enough to quibble over, operating costs are more important.

I know Kubota isn’t a farm tractor in farms eyes but the Kubota is way under rate and my eye JD way over rated. I own both and like both but I have been using the Kubota more falling I love with them. If you would Kubota the same amount of years and same amount of deal the Deere has and put the JD in Kubota’s shoes Kubota be on top. Most tractors brands into today’s world they are basically the same a few things different here and there but that’s it. No matter what will always have a farm like one brand over others. As long as the job gets done the brand of tractor means nothing to me great video. Most comparisons videos is bash this tractor cause I like this brand or that’s what they sell. 👍🏻

interesting video gerry, and very unbiased on your half as we all know how green u r! personally I wouldn't have set foot in the orange thing! the power boost does let the 30 series down a bit especially on pto work, the r series are better on that side of things. but the 69 looks better and sounds better and resale price will be far better. was wondering if your 69 was chipped? I assume its not, we had ours chipped and when they put it on the dyno it was reading 204 hp, definety worth doing.

When the Kubota came out first. I would have gone near one. They weren't at all easy on the eye at all. Aswell as, sticking to the brand's that you do know of, from year's gone by. They've came a long way in a fairly short period of time. It'll be interesting to see, will they go BIGGER overtime & how they preform against other makes of tractor's.
I'd say it would have helped the Deere better if had a variable transmission, like the Kubota.
I was talking a guy that has a Kubota & swears by it, in nearly everyway. Nothing BIG at all has gone on it, yet & he has it about 14years. They're not that much cheaper to buy second hand compare to other makes.
Ya, dealer location & backup service is everything, when buying a tractor. Along with reliability.
You might change your mind about them now Gerry. 👂🤚😂😅🤣

gerry6420 the 6630P has had nothing done to it and they turned something in the computer off to get as accurate a reading as possible and it was doing 172 on the shaft. My fiend has a 6620P that’s doing 180 on the shaft Dyno tested and hasn’t been tinkered with. I know the boost only kicks in after a certain rev range but if a 6630 can produce more power than a 6930 ya might want to get it check and out 6630 is at 11k hours and never been opened up

It's hard to reference them now that they are or could be in same group which means that they are very similar! If you Drive a 3210 for living then just have to use a 42 horsepower Kubota then it's bound to be all other is not! Kubota cannot or any manufacturer can develop something that's constantly not cut Mustard?

    I would take a Kubota over a JD !
The servicecost are way lower then the JD! Are their parts made of gold? They make a Bigg amount of profit on the back of a farmer! For the price of filters and other serviceparts from JD you can buy the serviceparts from Kubota at youre local dealer and still have money in the pocket to buy a hamburgermeal at a local diner!

Regardless of how expensive parts could be. The deere is gaining value the kubota will depreciate so much after a few years.

A fair few years ago my Da did a bit of organic market gardening with a Kubota, a small item broke that stopped all use of it. The part had to come from Japan IIRC and took over 2 weeks to arrive, I don't think I could live with that possible downtime without a whole lot of parts backup and reassurance they were readily available.

In 20 years time the John Deere will still be going and the Kubota won't. John Deeres are built to last. They still make all the parts for 30 and 40 year old Deeres. The Kubota are a good tractor but I don't think they'd survive the hardship that a Deere would and still be going in 25 years
