Take out your TCM and check for corrosion. It’s really easy, location behind battery. Little silver box. I cleaned mine out and fixed transmission fault and parking break fault.
I bought a 2007 land rover hse 4.4 engine at copart with a clean title no dents no accident for 1100.00 because of mechanical problems, , copart said it don't run , got land rover off car hauler the suv crank but didn't start , I tried my jumper that didn't work , so I bought new correct battery, pup in supreme gas , a bottle of Lucas fuel injector cleaner, sprayed starting fluid the suv fired up ran rough , I turn off check oil bone dry wow I put in a bottle of restore oil additive for cars over 100k started up 100% better then found wow only water in radatior, had a p0735 code for transmission, on any land rover vechiles you must use correct oil , antifreeze, transmission fluid or you get codes and put in limp mode , who ever own this land rover had no clue on these type of vechile maintenance this rover runs very good I did all the work I put a professional scanner by autel maxisy aums906bt cost me 1299.00 to me saving over paying shop bills , you can Learn a lot by watching UA-cam Atlantic British they are a full shop and parts and DIY videos its not what you think you know but what you don't know is what cost you the dealer is the last place I go paying shop rate over 150 an hour any way good luck
I’m having so many problems with my RR , where do I put transmission fluid in ? I paid $6000 in repairs about 3 years ago and $1100 in Repairs this past November, I got the TAMGE ROVER BLUES😢😢😢
Hii I don’t have corrosion on any modulee... my L322 2007 Supercharged has a lost communication and now he won’t start.. i turn the key and all of the lights in the cluster are on. they show me a faults of Brakes, Transmision, engine etccc.... And when i turn the key to start the vehicle nothing happen. She have a new battery and alternator before this problem and she was working great two months ago before this.... today I can’t use or start them.
Would you say that my TCM module is the problem if I’m getting several lost communication faults? My Range Rover still operates and suspension raises, but it keeps telling me I have faults.
Honestly i would check the connectors if you see corrosion that is probably it.... but in researching ive found a bunch of different issues cause the same communication faults...low battery voltage, instrument cluster, or wheel speed sensor are big ones a scan tool helps narrow down certain things and checking the forums because different issues will throw different communication faults
I have a 2008 Range Rover HSE I am only getting the Transmission Fault Limited Gears Available Code. What do you suggest. I travel for work so I really don't have to time to repair it myself.
I can tell you most run of the mill shops aren’t going to be able to program it some might, but more than likely you will have to go to an import shop or the dealership, you can also look into the ILAND tool reach out to them and see if their scanner may be able to do it
I have my land rover in a storage unit... I replaced the control module with a new unit.. you mentioned do NOT drive it.. but my mechanic needs to scan it to reset the codes. Can I still drive it?
Bro I have a 2010 Range Rover hse and the “gear box fault” light keeps coming on.. the truck will just drop into neutral while I’m driving, then I have to pull over and turn it off/on then it’s fine for a few.... do u have any idea of what this could be??
I have been having these exact same issues/ faults with my 2013 Range Rover evoque. But, there isn’t a transfer case module on the evoque. Any ideas on what that might be? Or where I might find more information?
Honestly if you google 2013 evoque and list the problems your having there will more than likely be forums and posts with other people having the same issues, i know with this model year a bunch of things can cause the same issues, from low battery voltage to a blown transmission and a bunch of stuff in between can cause the same issue, is you can get or have a scan tool hooked up it may show certain codes which can help you narrow down what the problem might be
SG Flybyme yeah, I’ve done that but it seems variable. Closest thing I have seen is possibly the haldex. But, I also brought it to a shop and they traced it to a blown fuse. One replaced, it worked for a day until the faults came back. The fuse was also fine after that. Thank you though! Guess I’ll keep looking!
Hi dear, i have an issue with my RRS 2009 and i have hdc problem, the green mountain light is flashing with the break light and when i put the gear on P position the handbrake is automatically coming on with a big noise. Any advise/recommendations please
Absolutely so this is one of the issues i was having if you watch some of my other videos in this series i go step by step of the different things i did to fix it, but would definitely check for corrosion on the integrated transfer case module because mine was doing the exact same thing, if no corrosion you may just need a software update
Thank u so much dude, my 06 Range Rover no start, the remote quit working the engine turn but no start, I have the codes U2016 and U0248. Do u think it’s the same problem Help please
So the crank no start, sounds like a different issue i would check all basic power systems first, battery alternator starter etc, these are notorious for bad batteries. The remote or key fob sounds like a seperate issue and that what the secong code U0248 is, sometimes your able to sync the remote to the vehicle and fix it, sometimes it just the battery in the remote which is actually not too difficule to change but you will have to do some more diggin to find the root of the problem
How do I know what modules control what? I have lost connection errors all over. I'm maintaining my RRSHSE09 Zero lights show on dash but diagnostics tell me I got module(s) computer issue(s).
So it can be one of many things, something as simple as low battery voltage, or just needing an update to software, ive heard instrument clusters cause similar issues, mine was the integrated transfer case module had water in it, but it could be an issue with the gearbox or transmission, or even wheel speed or ride height sensors(suspension faults), you just have to do some diagnosing and research do you have any other faults with it? I bought an icarsoft cr pro scanner so i could read what codes it was throwing and started diagnostics from there
I would start the easiest place to check at the shifter, take the console apart at the shifter check the module and all cables and i believe sometime these have a problem in the shifter itself, if not you are looking at possibly a Gearbox, transfer case or transmission.
Its definitely a roll of the dice, i got lucky my repairs werent too costly but in researching the problems ive had i heard a lot of horror stories in the forums
