What DE probably expects me to think about his 2: "Oh this is obviously meant to synergize with his 4" What I actually thought the moment I saw his 2: "NATARUK TIME"
If pulses of his 1 did a, say, 20% defense strip per pulse and his 4 continued to popcorn bodies (not just alive enemies), I think that would do a huge amount to making him work well. It would solve the scaling problem, it would reinforce the synergy of more pulses when you hit the pillars with other abilities, etc. The biggest gap would be his survivability at that point, which could be solved with some helminths on his 3 (or just buff the 3 to add DR or something).
It turns out that if you hit his 1 with his 4, enemies within the radius of his 1 are "marked" as if hitting them with his 4, giving them the popcorn effect. Could be a way to artificially increase his range, but range isn't really the issue with Qorvex and neither is hitting enemies with his 4.
Kind of crazy how all these UA-camrs completely miss this. It makes using his 4th ability so much easier and on steel path with 200% ability strength I can literally nuke enemies for 30 min or longer survival easily.
or u can just a viral/rad epitaph primer instead and achieve a similar or greater effect too, what matters is that they must have rad procs on them (also epitaph hits through walls)
Genuinely I think that Tharros Strike is a better option for Qorvex as far as armor stripping goes. Self-heal, a third the energy cost, wants high range, no duration like Terrify, and strips shields on top of it (since Corpus shields have resistance to Radiation). It doesn't fix the core problems Qorvex has though.
I feel like Radiation status should be reworked to work like a weak version of Qorvex's 4th as a damage instance that tics once every stack and spreads to other enemies based on the number of status stacks at diminshed damage each time. Kind of like a weird combo of gas and slash status. This would probably make Qorvex's 4th ability better while basically staying the same. They could make it also applying a set number of Rad stacks scaling with strength. That way he would actually be causing a powerful chain reaction. I don't know how difficult of a change that would all be tho.
I was thinking that because radiation degrades DNA irl, maybe have radiation degrade shields and armor with a DoT? Like every tick strips say 1-3% armor and 4-6 shields? I'm completely fine with the confusion, id say that the confusion helps Qorvex with survivability the same way Nyx benefits from confusion.
@shizukousapostle1stapostle710 except radiation is a terrible element. It's only used because certain enemies have a weakness to it. The status effect itself is hot garbage.
I really like the base I’m seeing with Qorvex. Ideally, he’ll get some improvements by the time I get around to building him. But I think the foundation itself is sound. No pun intended.
I've almost exclusively used Qorvex since launch, and I honestly really disagree with the central point of this video I have been running a similar build, with no helminths, Adaptation instead of Overextended, and Mobilise over Streamline, and despite that the build literally gives up a mod slot for just some extra mobility, I have had 0 issue with nuking Steel Path enemies with just his base kit, without any helminths. Even in Circuit, I found that Qorvex did much more damage than necessary to kill the enemies, and that his Pillars are actually a huge part of both what makes him fun and effective. Range is really **not** as big of an issue as you believe as to require Overextended, and the minus strength really forces you to use the rest of your build to make it work when he just doesn't need the extra range. I've actually found that, in the context of his kit, his 2 is prolly his least important ability, but I personally wouldn't remove it as it's still a very good ability. His pillars can artificially extend the range of his 4, which already has a very decent base range on it, which means that you always have at least 1 radiation pulse source from his 4 if you hit it. In the example you showed in Simulacrum, I'm pretty sure that if you had just placed a pillar, it would have caused more damage and hurt the enemies who were furthest away more, the Pillars really do serve a big role in his kit, and exchanging them for an armour strip that he doesn't need just isn't really important. The pillars are good in every game mode, because you can just place them wherever you go, but its also worth noting that they go from great to amazing in defensive or stationary game modes, as the radiation will cause the enemies to shoot each other instead of you or your allies, and enemies will die to it in combo with your 4. His 2 also causes enemies to be more vulnerable to damage if you need it, but honestly, I find you often don't, the average tile is so cramped that you often don't **need** it, but it does make enemies die even more efficiently. As far as survivability goes, Adaptation + Grace has been more than enough for me in everything I've played. I don't have a maxed out Grace, but even then, Qorvex has such high hp and armour that Grace proccing is effectively immortality until you get into extremely high levels that are a stretch even in circuit, where i was also lucky enough to get him as an option and he did far more work than any of my weapons. Disometric Guard is actually really good as a survivability ability, you'd be surprised how lethal status effects are when you compare having it up to not having it, the only time I've died in the last 3 days was when I jumped off a map and forgot to reactivate it, just to be killed because of a slash proc that bypassed my armour. Terrify, Gloom, and Pillage are great, but they're really not always the answer, sometimes a Warframe's base kit has reasons for all of its abilities to be included, and I think an issue here and that I've observed on your live streams is that, while you do experiment, you don't seem to rethink your strategy that much as opposed to swapping over to something else and declaring that the Warframe's kit just wasn't good enough. It takes a lot of play to sometimes fully get how something works in this game, even as a Founder, don't forget that we have a new dev team and this is a completely new Warframe. It's better to experiment and understand why a Warframe might work the way that they do, and to try to make the basekit work, before declaring that a Warframe needs any helminths or fixes, I've yet to really find any strong flaws in Qorvex's design, and I've been doing my best to push him as much as I can, I really can't understand the conclusions that you came to about his kit other than just feeling like you saw that he worked with high range and decided that pushing his range to the max at the expense of his other stats was the best idea, when he really doesn't need it and it created other flaws that you then pointed out in your build that I just haven't really encountered in my own experience while playing him nearly exclusively over the last few days. I haven't seen your Dagath video, but I remember tuning in to a stream where you said that Dagath needed high strength to fully armour strip, but when I used Dagath myself, I noticed that her 4 hits multiple times, and can even fully strip armour without any strength, though at least 50% strip is much more reliable. I really respect your content, and you're one of the best Warframe UA-camrs imo, especially for the average player, but as another player with a lot of experience in the game, I can't help but notice these flaws in your approach to the design of new content, and it's also probably the case that I'm being too harsh, but its important to remember that UA-camrs have a large influence on their audience, and attract audiences based on their own attitude. Just as an example, I like Gaz, but i swear, if someone watches too many of their videos they'll learn nihilism over the fact that the Sploinkinator from the new Spaghetter Foundation faction has a minor bug where it reloads 59 rounds instead of 60, and you can see in the comments that many people watch negative content and develop a negative attitude about something, which is why its so important for us to have a full understanding of what we're talking about when we discuss it. I really enjoy watching your content, I just feel that you sometimes start your approach at the stats screen rather than experimenting as you play. Sorry for the wall of text, as a TLDR; Qorvex is pretty good, I like him.
Yeah I have been using him since the update dropped and I just, really have had no problems with him with adaptation and triple Umbra mods, 200 percent strength and like 145 range. I was doing kuva survival on sp and I left after an hour cause I was busy and he had no problems there. I agree he is very fun
I've sat on this video for a few days, I dont like this build, i think you need to revisit Qorvex. Youre wasting 2 mod slots for Umbra fibre and vitality which are just unnecessary when you have the highest armor in the game. you can easily health tank with arcane blessing and adaptation and give your self a sustainable energy and health economy with equilibrium. your also over building into range you dont need max range to make him effective at all. you can invest into efficiency to make him a casting frame. youre correct when saying he needs straight lines but a lot of frames have a specific play style and theres a lot of tilesets you can play him on. this vid feels like you rushed to put it out and didnt bother to learn how to effectively synergize his abilities because you can do lots of damage with his base kit.
DE should take all the fixes that currently live in augments (like Rhino re-casting Ironskin) and just add those to the frames. It's time to start making the frame actually work at what it does before making us spend mod slots to fix broken abilities.
I like what they were going for with him. Unfortunately you do have to slap arcane grace on him but after that i had no trouble surviving steel path against the new guys. I think his gimmick of survival by making all the enemies irradiated and attack eachother instead is cool but you lose that if you drop the 1st ability which btw should go through walls since its literally radiation thats kind of what its known for gaha
I really like the idea of his 4 consuming his 3 to add some sort of stacking effect based on the number of charges consumed. That would give him a gameplay loop of applying radiation with his 1 and 2, killing stuff to charge his 3, and then spending those charges on his 4 to nuke everything. In the meantime: Radiation causes chain reactions? A damage vulnerability debuff? Range, survivability, and damage Problems? Breach Surge over his 1 or 2 (or 3 honestly given how little it really does). That new radiation ability-boosting Archon Shard probably makes it even stronger.
Also, I think if they added a regen to his 1. While it pulses he heals a % of the radiation damage he is flinging it out. Kinda like a combo field. That's essentially what his new arch gun is doing. Or he just drops rad fields that he gains a benefit from standing in them.
Since crucible blast works best in groups and his second is not a great grouping ability, you can replace his walls with ensnare Also putting orange archon shards on him for the +ability damage on radiated targets will take him to the next level I do agree giving him armor strip would be nice though
I feel like putting Terrify over his 3 instead would be better, than having primed sure footed in the exilus. More investment sure, but his 1 makes his 4th ability deal damage in that radius, removing the absolute need to have grouping.
Given his reactor theme he should probably have energy generation in his kit. Maybe something like stacks of his status protection giving you energy rate while standing in his 1. That would alleviate the need to use efficiency mods / energize
Hear me out for a second; Pull enemies into a line with his walls, then shoot a Paris Prime Incarnon with it's infinite punch through in there. Hunter Munitions, so you have no need for armor removal. Plus it'll heal you to full with each shot thanks to the augment. You'd then also subsume something over his 4, since you no longer need it.
His 3 is literally just Hideous Resistance (the ability from the Helminth that can go on any frame and practically nobody uses). Only difference is it costs 25 more energy and works on teammates.
His 3 is actually really good, his armour is high and if you're using him effectively then you should never run out of stacks on his 3. Complete status immunity is actually pretty crazy in terms of survivability and just general convenience. Mesmer Skin is an extremely overtuned ability, and comparing how a health tank support frame works to a more selfish oriented caster-survivability frame just doesn't make much sense. And this ability is much better than Hideous Resistance, that's literally comparing Mesmer Skin on launch to Mesmer Skin now, theyre almost a different concept. Mesmer Skin is literal immortality for pressing a button, Qorvex plays to achieve effective immortality, if we're going to compare Disometric Guard to Mesmer Skin, Disometric Guard is Mesmer Skin if it wasn't both overtuned and boring, and I say that as someone who had over 100 hours on Revenant before he was buffed to his current state, and has played him extensively since then. You can enjoy Revenant and using Mesmer Skin, but let's please not pretend that a button that just makes you immortal that creates anti-synergy between Revenant's abilities leading to him being a one-button-Warframe is any kind of standard to achieve?
@@analogicparadox How so "in the worst ways possible"? I've used it extensively and it's a powerful ability that rewards Qorvex's intended playstyle while providing him and allies with a significant buff to survivability and immunity to things like magnet procs which would make them less efficient. I don't get what your point is supposed to be other than that it's worse than Mesmer Skin.
@@Critical_Zeroyou still need enemies to be close together since the explosion doesn't affect the enemy it occurred on, which means you need to group the enemies. If you've already grouped the enemies then just hit them all at once with the beam
@@user-jm8sy5ox2j I generally use cordon to group, prime and pop a pillar in the group and wiggle spam 4, everything dies up to SP 1k, got bored of playing him around 1k and went to test more stuff
@@Critical_ZeroIs there anyway you could upload a demonstration? Cause I’m struggling to stay alive long enough in steel path to get the energy necessary to start really killing stuff. But I love this frame and really want to use him for early steel path stuff because that’s where I currently am in the game.
@@augustinvaclavik6282 My problem is that I have too much time on my hands and this comment annoyed me. I don't even care how good or bad the ability is. People need to shut the fuck about realism in games.
I agree that the 1 could use an armour strip. If it did a compounding 33% armour reduction per pulse (33% of the current value) innately I feel it would work out. Putting down a pillar and triggering it to pulse extra fast would effectively strip all armour in 5-6 seconds. And if his 4 penetrated everything (or at least damaged nullifier bubbles), like ionising radiation normally does, there would be a lot less complaint about that as well. Probably make it a line of sight thing though because piercing walls will just lead to people cranking their mouse sensitivity and becoming a rave laser. I will say though I'm not surprised that his 4 was having problems dealing with the lone eximus, even the butcher. Its whole point is chain reactions dealing with crowds. Without a crowd, how is it supposed to kill an eximus? Sitting next to a pillar which also explodes like another target though when hit by his 4 might be enough. That is supposedly exponential. So two pillars within blast range of each other would give you crazy localised damage against individual targets.
His 1, while i like the idea, makes little to no sense in practical gameplay and just feels lazily executed tbh. Its great for slowing enemies, crowd control, and applying some status but so is Epitaph. Plus, since when does Radiation need a line if sight check? Radiation will melt not only enemies behind a wall but also the wall they're hiding behind. His 2. Love tge idea but yes it should honestly be an armor strip. Augment mod incoming in 'Echoes' or 'Gargoyle Cry' update. His 3 I'm honestly fine with. Wish it had a retaliation effect like Grendels Nourish but instead procing Rad but it does what it needs to do. His 4. Wish it would proc more than Rad or that the ability was a toggle cast where in casting player could cast for longer but drain energy like Wisps 4.
Pablo: Want to make a warframe based around gas proc stacking? Reb: Eh...kinda hoping for a radiation theme. Pablo: Why not both?! I think comparing him to setups that do wonky things with gas is fairly apt. It can take a lot of setup, does clear out a room, but tends to leave both stragglers and thoughts of just using a different weapon. Qorvex works really well as a nuke in that vein, it's not too much of an ask to bring a weapon to finish off certain tanks bois, but he's a specialist/"feel" frame instead of a daily driver.
It's really funny how night and day augments can be for a warframe. Gyre sucks, but with her augment she is a nightmare. My friends keep complaining that there is nothing to kill for extending say, Lycath's Hunt, or to rez themselves with their operator. I've switched back to Saryn and Khora more to be more friendly.
One "key" thing I don't think Zime noticed of Qorvex is that he doesn't give a d4mn about Duration, only his 1 will actually use it. His 2 surely debuffs enemies for too little numbers, but it's infinite duration (non-stackable sadly), this makes easier to get strength via Transient Fortiude and efficiency through Fleeting Expertise, just need to be careful with Helminth options, sure, but Terrify, for one, also benefits from lower duration, as enemies will stop running away quicker this way.
@@Brozime I'mma test more this build I was somewhat fine with, it had: About 30% duration 145% range 329% strength + Corrosive Projection Pillage 0 shards (but Id put 2 for casting speed) Arcane Power Ramp instead of Augmented (to get to 329 strength without kills build-up I felt like he doesnt really need that much range nor duration, fleeting expertise should be affordable while Overextended is negligible. I think I just missed a forma for extra efficiency or extra range (I had my nautilus with Synth Deconstruct and equilibrium in my build though + fleeting ofc)
Tharos strikes better than terrify for him, gives him a heal, strips shields as well his 2 gets everyone in its cone anyway, and you can use duration as a dump stat.
6:47 Why is the repair operator arcane super inefficient? You get full health in 4 seconds. I know it would be good to have healing in his kit for sure, but I don't understand how operator healing is super inefficient. I would say mildly inconvenient would maybe be a better term.
I do think he requires quite a bit of changes My recommendations is dr on his 3 His 1 pulling enemies to it Or his 2 being a circle instead of a wall His passive doesn’t really do much for him at all he should of had some synergy with radiation proc like the hydroid rework did hydroid made a already good status effect even better qorvex should make radiation nuts
some more synergy with the radiation status would be nice, like swapping the DV on his 2 for an armor strip depending on rad stacks on enemies, or similarly having a damage *multiplier* on his 4 for every rad stack instead of extra flat damage. maybe giving him some lingering DR or extra armor when he gets hit by a pulse from one of his own pillars depending on how many stacks of his 3 he has could help.
I'll probably throw Breach Surge on him for the meme's since he needs some work. Tbh I would make his passive give Rad Procs minor armor strip and heal you when enemies with them die. 2 birds one stone solution that requires limited dev work. Bonus is it makes the 1 more valuable because it can spread procs really really well.
Wow this is the first review of him that I’m seen that isn’t calling him an awesome frame, or that he “Melts Steel Path” very interesting. I have been having a difficult time making him work for Steel Path but regular content he seems good for.
I ended up going full umbral with Chromas subsume as his 4. If you use the armor buff version of Chromas ability you get about 8-10k armor with molt augmented and ok strength. That way you can heal less often and stuff like equilibrium and molt regen and not feel like you need more heals. The reason I subsumed out his 4 is purely just because a strong gun is much better and you can at least use his 1 as crowd control with radiation procs, mainly just to distract small fries while you deal with eximus and acolytes. I just use incarnon weapons for damage and found that the torid and dual toxocyst work really well with enemies lined up by his 2. For energy all I use is deathcube + equilibrium, if you don't use his 4 he needs nowhere near as much energy. Really wish he provided his own survivability and scaled better. It feels kinda strange that the highest armor frame in the game is so squishy by default.
@Brozime I think if his 1 WAS the armor strip itself AND being in the range gave you that on your other abilities it would function better, allowing for duration to have a slightly higher role, and his 4 should have something like Xaku where the enemies become specifically more vulnerable to radiation, taking extra damage depending on their max health, i think his 3 healing him per stack of rad on enemies in affinity range and some FLAT and percentile damage reduction for each stack of status block, i say flat since he has some great armor value and adaptation would or the percentile would give him some Baruuk levels of CHONK.
hey brozime im not sure how much this affects the viability of his 1 but when you use your ult on the pillars, they apply the same explosion effect. just thought youd wanna know
It's crazy to me that Banshee with her Sonar augment can fully cover enemies with weakspots that give 1000%+ damage vulnerability, but then all these new warframe with their shit useless abilities get 2-digit vulnerability effects.
Personally if i were to rework him, I’d probably give him passive damage resistance to rad proc’d enemies, make so that his 1 has more range and reduced effectiveness through walls (but not STOPPED by walls) as well as feed back health for every rad proced enemy hit by the pualses. His two I don’t really think I’d touch, mostly because I can’t think of a way to make it work for him better than tentical ball or coil horizon. His three could turn him into radiation zone…. Maybe. Or do something similar to gyres abilities. As for his 4? I have no clue other than buffing it’s damage, because right now it’s just sitting next to sol gate and that hurts my heart.
Am I the only one who looked at his 3 and expected it to do *something* more than just prevent statuses? Health or energy generation, DR per stack, or some from of overguard generation when combined with another ability in his kit all come to mind, but *nothing*?
Oh dats a very good point, "for low lvl guy it's really fun", i think that a crux of most designs, except the obviously late game ones which are more of optimization and theory crafting options
The biggest problem with these new frames is that DE doesn't test them in actual gameplay, let alone actually play their game. It shows with some of these frames, especially Qorvex
He feels like concrete gyre tbf a bit, his 1 is a status spread aoe for his synergies his 2nd is an alr grouping tool his 3rd is utility and 4 is the main dmg shit.
from now on i have 2 prime frames , Kullervo for sp mission and korvex for regular star chart , coz even tho he's abilities are weak he feels soooo cool to play , you literally start feeling yourself an anime character xD
health tank with no healing and no in built damage resist other than base armor. Survivability looks like it's going to be a problem, and there's not enough cool stuff there for me to really want to invest a lot into keeping him alive.
I think DE made a significant mistake by designing an obvious crowd control frame when they've been designing the game to make crowd control not useful for several years now. Eximus units are immune to the slow from qorvex's 1, the 2 just doesn't affect eximus, plus the confusion effect from radiation doesn't affect eximus then all the other enemies tend to die from the player just existing, so what is the point of qorvex's kit? If they want anyone to play qorvex after the initial rush when it released, they're going to have to make it a DPS capable frame somehow.
@@ParasiteOmegait's clearly a CC frame. Radiation is designed to be a CC, 3 abilities apply radiation, 1 has a slow effect on enemies, and 2 is a grouping ability. The 4 isn't that great of a DPS, 3 really doesn't help with tanking when sure footed exists, the frame has no sustain whatsoever. Maybe this frame would have been good in 2016 when crowd control was relevant but not anymore
Bruh de should know every new frame needs either an armor strip, 90% dmg reduction skill or a viral/slash skill to be viable in this power creep game. I’ll play him if I’m terribly bored but he ain’t replacing any frame.
Replace 3rd with Well of Life and Augment. It’s better imo. Build him with Health conversion and Equilibrium. That solves all his problems. Self status immunity, +1350 Armor, heals/sec, life steal and health/energy orb generation.
honestly even with all the critcism it looked like you were playing him very well, things were exploding and dying and the ability was working as intended am i missing something? i never truly expect my warframes to do everything for me, i always know theirs going to be things im gunna need to kill with a gun
Compare him to your main. That's what I do and others do I think. Nezha(my main) just works so I always compare new frames to him or other kits that "just work". I don't want a warframe that has a lot of timers or HP watching unless it's Harrow who's rewarded for my sweaty gameplay lol
He’s a cool looking frame and I did pick him up but from what you’re saying I think I’d rather just use another frame that’s going to get the job done he does look pretty clunky. I hope DE in the future modifies his kit or puts out an augment or something to help this guy out.
Did not look too bad to me honestly, hes tanky af and what other frame would nuke entire rooms in sp just pressing 4 with 0 setup at 200% str? Good enough tank/utility/cc frame imo.
What if his 3 stored up the prevented status effects and applied them to all nearby enemies upon expiration? Sort of like a meltdown vomiting corium everywhere?
So this is basically a what if Phantasma took a warframe slot. Unnecessary abilities that try replacing weapons rather than work in synergy with them by stripping armor or taking care of survivability or properly grouping them up for punch through or AOE. This frame needs so much to be considered good I'll just write it off and check on it in a few years if it gets something seriously interesting or powerful. At least they could have given it that 90% DR on his 3 if not immunity for X seconds whenever procing radiation. Revenant already gets unconditional immunity on whole squad with additinal upsides, it wouldn't even be broken at this day and age where all sheild replenishing frames like Mag or Protea are literal immune godesses. Meanwhile this guy all he gets is status immunity? For 75 energy...? Really DE?
I highly disagree with your sentiments on Qorvex not being very good. While his 2 is not ideal for the rest of what he wants to do in SP he’s quite competent in wave management and spreading his status. There are better grouping tools yes, but ideally he’s a 4 frame where his 1 and 3 just add to the effectiveness of that ability. Of course he’d struggle in Sym but there you have to manually spawn in enemies instead of them just pouring in constantly
Man ... This is such a shame! Not being able to play Steelpath and having impracticle constructed abilities on his 1 and his 4 is a humongous blow to his kit ... I just build the guy and put in an Aura Forma
He's cooking em in those hallways. Having to run Overextended and a bunch of red shards to get this performance isn't great though. I'd like to see the explosion radius on his 4 increased at least.
Okay, so wild idea, but really funny. You know how Nidus parasite can shoot virulence from it when nidus uses it? Okay, imagine that but with the Chakla pillars and make them fucking eyes of saurons when he uses his four. and add some sort of dr for his 3rd ability, but nothing ludicrous, like 2-3% per rock. I reall enjoy his kit and design, but dont want to subsum on him. Good vid.
I like this build but i got 1 that turns you to a pretty much unkillable warframe 24/7 and the ability to spam the beam its an amazing warframe tbh just needs the right build while his attack is ok ya but his survivability is insane
Pretty sure it's one of the two ephemera that is sold from Khals Garrison. Forget the name but it displays desired colors as Void energy and also displays what Archon Shards you have on the Frame.
Been looking for a good loot frame, but nekros and hydroid really don't do it for me when it comes to farming. I kind of want to see atlas' petrify with ore gaze instead of qorvex's 1
This with the new shards or equilibrium would give him a way to heal as well as refilling his energy, which would make him also a great candidate for shield gating due to his 3 and energy regen from petrify. Use 3 -> Use 2 -> Use Petrify -> Use 4
We just need one more male rock type Warframe to complete the pillar men group
You could argue that ice is water based rocks so Frost could fill that role
We got concrete and boulder. what's next? Sediment frame?
sand is just small rocks. inaros
Awaken my masters
atoms are just tiny rocks. so they all are rock type
What DE probably expects me to think about his 2: "Oh this is obviously meant to synergize with his 4"
What I actually thought the moment I saw his 2: "NATARUK TIME"
given his passive, I'd think DE thought both, but oh yeah, shooting that tree on them is fcking satisfying
@@Kelanich didn’t miss this it’s just not a very good way to play him

Genuinely I think that Tharros Strike is a better option for Qorvex as far as armor stripping goes. Self-heal, a third the energy cost, wants high range, no duration like Terrify, and strips shields on top of it (since Corpus shields have resistance to Radiation). It doesn't fix the core problems Qorvex has though.
just not large enough range for a frame that wants to hit a huge line of dudes
I used Tharros as well. It's not fantastic, but it helps with health and armor strip/shield strip
try terrify
Im just surprised he doesn't have a meltdown mechanic. Higher his meter the stronger his abilities become, and the more range they get.
Doubt that would happen nourish and that with slash would break the game 😂
I was thinking that because radiation degrades DNA irl, maybe have radiation degrade shields and armor with a DoT? Like every tick strips say 1-3% armor and 4-6 shields? I'm completely fine with the confusion, id say that the confusion helps Qorvex with survivability the same way Nyx benefits from confusion.
would'nt it be better fitting for eletricity though? as eletricity will actually chain through enemies?
I don't think we need to turn another element into a DoT, I think what makes Radiation unique is good enough, Qorvex needs some buffs of his own tho
I've almost exclusively used Qorvex since launch, and I honestly really disagree with the central point of this video
I have been running a similar build, with no helminths, Adaptation instead of Overextended, and Mobilise over Streamline, and despite that the build literally gives up a mod slot for just some extra mobility, I have had 0 issue with nuking Steel Path enemies with just his base kit, without any helminths.
Increase the range of his one and make it armor strip 15% of armor per hit. The rapid hit will make more sense then cus it will strip faster
He looks really awesome. I hope DE buffs him a little bit.
He needs a magic touch just like Kullervo did. Hope DE make some quick reworks cuz i really want to play him regularly.
Since crucible blast works best in groups and his second is not a great grouping ability, you can replace his walls with ensnare
Also putting orange archon shards on him for the +ability damage on radiated targets will take him to the next level
I do agree giving him armor strip would be nice though
I feel like putting Terrify over his 3 instead would be better, than having primed sure footed in the exilus. More investment sure, but his 1 makes his 4th ability deal damage in that radius, removing the absolute need to have grouping.
Given his reactor theme he should probably have energy generation in his kit. Maybe something like stacks of his status protection giving you energy rate while standing in his 1. That would alleviate the need to use efficiency mods / energize
Putting that much range just to replicate the effect his 4 has on his 1 is crazy
You need that much range for his one anyway and it's a worse way to apply the effect
Yea the “weapons are better than him” problem is a big reason why I’m not a fan of his damage output
Why use paris prime, use the nataruk. It does more damage anyways
@@user-jm8sy5ox2jcus it’s funny. it’s like using banshee and zenith, cus it’s funny
The moment they showed his kit the survivability seemed lacking. His 3 is an incredibly nerfed version of mesmer skin that doesn't even give you DR.
@@oichemarbh9802 never said that mesmer skin is a goal, just that his 3 his literally just a fraction of it in the worst ways possible.
If you build high strength and use the pillars his chest beam nukes steel path easily
The pillars do almost nothing to assist in that it's all just his beam
@@Brozime If you hit his 1 with the 4 it add the cascade explosion to his 1 pulses. helps spread the 4 so you dont need as much range.
@@Critical_Zeroyou still need enemies to be close together since the explosion doesn't affect the enemy it occurred on, which means you need to group the enemies. If you've already grouped the enemies then just hit them all at once with the beam

he really does not need this much range at all, there's like one or two tiles in the game you can even reasonably make use of that much range in
Tons of Videos: Wow Qorvex is awesome!
Brozime: Is he though?
I love when radioactive isotopes need to have line of sight to actually affect anything, anywhere. It's so realistic. Isn't that right, DE?
Well yeah it actually kinda is depending what it is that's breaking line of sight. But also, you were expecting realism in Warframe? Really?
@@sarbe6625 No, I was expecting creative design decisions to be coupled with a good gameplay experience.
@@SineFineInanis Then why tf are you even bringing up realism?
@@sarbe6625what's your problem?😂😂just admit the ability is trash
All the armor strips he needs also unfortunately care about duration as well though
Teriffy armor strip needs duration but tharos works
@@Brozime I'mma test more this build I was somewhat fine with, it had:
About 30% duration
145% range
329% strength + Corrosive Projection Pillage
0 shards (but Id put 2 for casting speed)
Arcane Power Ramp instead of Augmented (to get to 329 strength without kills build-up
I felt like he doesnt really need that much range nor duration, fleeting expertise should be affordable while Overextended is negligible.
I think I just missed a forma for extra efficiency or extra range (I had my nautilus with Synth Deconstruct and equilibrium in my build though + fleeting ofc)
@@Brozime Pillage only cares about Strength and Range.
@@Lord_Phoenix95 incorrect, duration actually makes up most of its range as it determines how long it expands beyond the initial range you get.
I believe that Pillars spread his 4s explosion effect when it gets hit by it but I could be wrong
Tharos strikes better than terrify for him, gives him a heal, strips shields as well his 2 gets everyone in its cone anyway, and you can use duration as a dump stat.
No :) Small AoE makes it piss for him, no ty! :)
6:47 Why is the repair operator arcane super inefficient? You get full health in 4 seconds. I know it would be good to have healing in his kit for sure, but I don't understand how operator healing is super inefficient. I would say mildly inconvenient would maybe be a better term.
Takes a lot of time since the needs to heal so often where someone like Kullervo almost never even needs to think about the healing it just happens
I do think he requires quite a bit of changes
My recommendations is dr on his 3
His 1 pulling enemies to it
Or his 2 being a circle instead of a wall
His passive doesn’t really do much for him at all he should of had some synergy with radiation proc like the hydroid rework did hydroid made a already good status effect even better qorvex should make radiation nuts
mmmm i love cement i love concrete so yummy munch monch crunch munch
some more synergy with the radiation status would be nice, like swapping the DV on his 2 for an armor strip depending on rad stacks on enemies, or similarly having a damage *multiplier* on his 4 for every rad stack instead of extra flat damage. maybe giving him some lingering DR or extra armor when he gets hit by a pulse from one of his own pillars depending on how many stacks of his 3 he has could help.
Clearly he is the armor version of inaros. You only put +armor mods on him and become status immune.
Hirudo, sir. It can do alright in steel path for regular runs up to around 140 but you’d definitely need another form of “fuck you bad guys”
Just replace streamline for equilibrium i don't get why you anchor yourself using energize while it's not needed.
Disometric guard needs to spread statuses on whatever hit you when it blocks a status effect if they're not going to give it any damage reduction.
His entire design is literally the Chernobyl elephants foot
would terrify be counter productive for him? I feel like there is a better ability to put over his one
Imagine if the rad pulse of his 1 also healed him and kills with his 4 left irradiated areas for a couple of seconds😅
hey brozime im not sure how much this affects the viability of his 1 but when you use your ult on the pillars, they apply the same explosion effect. just thought youd wanna know
It's crazy to me that Banshee with her Sonar augment can fully cover enemies with weakspots that give 1000%+ damage vulnerability, but then all these new warframe with their shit useless abilities get 2-digit vulnerability effects.
Arcane Blessing is a nice option because you can heal and stack health for a better way to survive with him.
How would you change this build now that he has an augment that does exactly what you suggested in the video?
The heat proc buff alone made Ember better than her entire rework.
I feel like the same would have to happen here with Radiation.
Will you add new columns to the archives on the shards section for the new shards? In the what shards you recommend for each frame section
Hunter recovery is a staple mod imo when health tanking, unfortunately it does limit you to panzer vulp
health tank with no healing and no in built damage resist other than base armor.
The disometric guard needs like...if it had a health regen field on it?? I think it could work. Just...something other than it’s damage immunity.
Just a bit of a fixer-upper with a weird sense of identity. Is he Damage?? CC?? His physique and theme suggest Tank, but like...hm.
Will you do an updated sevagoth build to include the augment?
Would Corrosive Projection be a good Aura choice?
The helminth in question:
Man ... This is such a shame!
Not being able to play Steelpath and having impracticle constructed abilities on his 1 and his 4 is a humongous blow to his kit ... I just build the guy and put in an Aura Forma
Kinda stupid that his 1 doesn't go through walls, its literally a radioactive pulse.
I don't remember demon cores abiding by the laws of game design.
I really thought this video was going to end on "I wish he was a little bit taller... I wish he was a baller"
He's alive
He's cooking em in those hallways. Having to run Overextended and a bunch of red shards to get this performance isn't great though. I'd like to see the explosion radius on his 4 increased at least.
Not gotten him yet nor the helminth sectio needed to make the new shards but maybe the new radiation archon shards could help with the damage output.
What about Tharros Strike for healing plus reducing armor
With minor tweaks this Warframe will be my absolute favorite, he's got the feel and the flow. Just misses the power mark by a tad
Good vid.
What if you make his 3 pillage and build him for shields?
out of curiosity why not styanax's helminth?
Not enough range imo
You could use stynax’s armor strip instead of terrify, more of a straight line, and you receive health for self sustain.
Why not use tharros strike instead of terrify?
Could the furis incarnon work for your sustain with it's augment?
Yup that's an option and it should still be good enough for eximus killing that way. Main issue is it's likely more powerful than Qorvex by itself.
I like this build but i got 1 that turns you to a pretty much unkillable warframe 24/7 and the ability to spam the beam its an amazing warframe tbh just needs the right build while his attack is ok ya but his survivability is insane
I mean.. we've had 2 pretty good Frames released just before him, so we were bound to have a really terrible one now. It's how DE works, after all.
what about using khora's 3 to group? i can't remember the name for the life of me.
his 1 should heal him with every pulse
his 4 should have 3m punchthrough
his 2 should strip armor if cast within 1

Been looking for a good loot frame, but nekros and hydroid really don't do it for me when it comes to farming. I kind of want to see atlas' petrify with ore gaze instead of qorvex's 1
This with the new shards or equilibrium would give him a way to heal as well as refilling his energy, which would make him also a great candidate for shield gating due to his 3 and energy regen from petrify.
Use 3 -> Use 2 -> Use Petrify -> Use 4
why not therros strike for the heal too? Instead of terrify.
just curious because you meantioned the lack of a way to heal. With therros strike you only need to hit about 9 enemies for a full heal.
