The Arctic Giant is my favorite 1940s Superman episode, and the Giant Gila Monster is one of my favorite MST3K episodes. Also It looks like that bear tore that snake in two. BTW, there are tons of films that are not documented. Super Sentai is one of the long-running shows on TV, but despite its fame, you will not find a single dam book on its production.
Another fantastic entry! Both O'brian and Harryhausen were some of my inspirations for getting into stop motion animation as well. Those two incredible artists will inspire many more for countless generations I'm sure. Looking forward to the next awesome entry
To be fair, the giant gila monster was always only supposed to be a giant gila monster, as noted in the title of its film: The Giant Gila Monster. It isn't really a slurpisaur, though of course the film uses the same techniques. What I can't recall, was whether the (vastly more famous) remake of One Million BC also uses a slurpisaur once or twice aside from its stop motion. (And other methods?) My memory seems to vaguely recall it does, but I haven't seen the film in decades and I may be stapling recollections from an afternoon of watching that and Irving Allen's Lost World back to back.
@@steamboatwill3.367Twice, if we count a giant spider a bit later as well. Anyway, at least in the remake it's almost certain that these animals weren't hurt. They were simply filmed when they were doing their stuff, and rather no one was forcing them to do anything.

Yeah, same. I like the designs, but not the methods they employed to make them a reality. I'll accept creatures (not dinosaurs, really, but some other kind of animal) looking like that, just ditch the hot glue and stuff, please.

So, dinosaur bones led to a perception of terrifying, aggressive, savage brutes which gradually gave way more child-like reptilian pets of children... Which basically mirrors Godzilla's evolution as a character.
The almost similar thing also happened to European type dragon; once it believed as evil abomination but in today era plenty of works depicted dragon as something noble and wise like common portrayal of Asian dragon. Just wanted to say how much I've been enjoying this series. I think Dinos still very much capture that Kaiju vibe. Certain ones at least. I still look at the Jurassic Park series as successful for cribbing themes/ideas/visuals uses in Godzilla films. Not calling it a rip-off at all, rather, using inspiration from one great series to make something new that's awesome. Dinosaurs will always be awesome, just like kaiju.

What’s funny about the Dino in the thumbnail is it’s an alien whose story is almost the same as 20 million miles to earth.

"The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" was based on the Ray Bradbury short story "The Foghorn". So you can add that to the story.

I would love to see a CGI recreation of a Slupasaur. Thanks to CGI, we can have those without the animal cruelty of the olden days
For lost kaiju media can you make a video about Godzilla vs Red Moon 1972
