We grow black rice by natural farming from srirangapatna India, we consume everyday, it has helped in maintaining weight.
I’ve been eating black rice for about 20 years. It’s incredible. It was marketed at Trader Joe’s under forbidden rice. This is different than wild rice, which is a different plant. Now this is available at H-Mart and other Asian groceries chains. There is also black barley, but that is harder to find. It’s actually a main crop in Minnesota in central US.

I've been eating rice for over 50 years, I don't have diabetes and I'm totally healthy and I'm muscular, I'm not overweight. People eat too much sugar and trans fat that’s more problem than rice, that cause diabetes, heart disease and stroke and overweight and premature aging of the skin.
I'm awake the last few nights at 230 a.m. 😅 and I'm feeling it's the black rice. I have been falling asleep deeper and waking up feeling rested at 230 a.m.

Online, a California company, Lumberg, sells it. They have a great variety of rice, including organic. My friend ordered recently. They shipped quickly.

I think if you wash it well it will be fine, also a rice cooker is so hot when it’s cooking it probably destroys the arsenic.

It actually cooks into deep purple....very pretty. Nutty tasting. I make Chinese chicken, with this.Red/ green peppers, Chicken breast pieces , fried first, with coated soy & corn starch. Like nuggets, but all chicken! Hot pepper flakes.
