    [ENG] Translation:
    0:12 "Training was always part of climbing for me, not necessarily to get fitter/stronger, but also because I always had fun doing it"
    0:29 "When I was 12, I noticed that climbing was my sport, and so over time I dropped other sports just to have more time to go climbing."
    0:40 "When I was around 18, I had the chance to onsight a 9a and became a professional climber pretty much overnight."
    0:53 "The Olympics are simply the biggest sports event in the world. Regrouping 10.000 athletes from all different kinds of sports in the same place.. that was always something that fascinated me ever since I went to the 2004 Olympics in Athens as a spectator when I was a kid. Now that we have a chance to represent our sport on the big scene, the big goal of 2017 for me was to be able to be one of the 20 athletes doing just that."
    1:33 "Because of Bibliographie I started having some insight into just how hard one could really climb, and I realized that 9c surely will not be the limit of climbing. The question then simply becomes: just how hard am I able to climb? Just how hard will people in the future be able to climb? After the Olympics, my competition career will be over at some point, but the rock climbing will always be there with me, and I want to find out whether I've reached my limit with Bibliographie or whether I can go even further."

      not really, they are the best climbers, but not in the Olympic format. Tomoa Narasaki and Jakob Schubert are my predictions.

    • @Ayame471989
      @Ayame471989 3 роки тому

      I was not exatly sure. Perhaps he meant that there is nothing to top Olympia in the competing world - regarding competitions there is nothing more to come after olympia. But regarding climbing challenges there will always be harder ones with no end in sight.

    My guess is half of this video is close-ups of his fingers. Sure, I get it. But it's boring since I don't know German. Needs more climbing and less fingers.

    Unfortunately I don’t see him with a good result for Olympia or even other competitions. He isn’t a gym climber, his skills and technic are very low compare with other climbers. Also the fact that he is just a very slow climber.
    And one big question for me is that he always climb with the same shoe. I also have a Tenaya oasi and love it. But if it gets serious this shoe will never perform like a theory.
