- The hard core climbing footage and the send captured beautifully by Marco Zanone! Watch Alex climbing, falling, screaming and finally succeeding on the Sleeping Lion, doing the second ascent of this Chris Sharma route in Siurana, Spain.
No interviews, not much talking, only climbing and beautiful landscape shots.
This is not our usual vlog style video, but good nonetheless! Positive feedback very much appreciated ;-)

That was the most epic climbing video i have ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes for some reason. The passion, the scream when you fell, the send, then thanking the filmer. Bro you are so humble, and strong as heck!! Very inspiring!

Watching Alex climb is the only climber that makes me want to climb. On a negative, the people below shouting make me want to sit down. Just chill and let him climb.

Loved this style. Only feedback I would give is to give the entirety of the redpoint. Us climbers want to see it from the dirt, not edited, to the chains. For example in the jug / rail after the top crux, when Alex is shaking out with the little kneebar he’s far above and right of the last clipped bolt. Not a great rest position and it would have been cool to see the sequence from there including the clip and traverse, rather than cut it out. Same for the opening section under the full no hands ledge. Feedback only meant to be constructive. Loved it, so thank you 🙏
I think there's plenty of room for great edits like this _and_ "uncut" video releases. I like it when the camera work, coloring, and sound come together to stir emotions in me. I also take perverse pleasure in watching someone sit in a comfy kneebar for two whole minutes resting.

"Us climbers" want to watch a video that gets us psyched. This video gets me fu**in psyched! If this video doesn't get you psyched, there's something wrong with you ;)

(Agree with the cut-out part after the kneebar rest, though. Would've liked to see it, but I guess they had their reasons to cut it out? Probably pulled on a quickdraw ... )

I'm very happy for your send Alex, this video shows how much you put on it, how much you want it. Also congratulations to the camera guys, they did something amazing and real in such a short time. But more than anything huge congratulations to Chris Sharma for finding, imagining and bolting that line on one of the most iconic walls of one of the most iconic crags in the world. Would love to see a video explaining the reasoning and technique behind trimming the shoe rubber. Im sure there are many other little tricks like this that average climbers (such as myself) are not aware of. Awesome climbing as always!
