It is common for 999 calls to queue during peak demand every day, and because forces have a statutory obligation set out by the government to answer both 999 and 101 calls, they cannot just neglect 101 calls indefinitely in the interests of answering 999's. Everyone has a right to call 101 if they feel they need to contact the police, but there is no getting away from the fact that calling 101 impacts the 999 response times, and that is not even considering the people who call 999 for something that they know is not an emergency just because they do not want to wait. sorry for the essay :/

Many years ago I was a student renting a basement apt.. One day I came out of the shower and saw my cat ... who had been outside when I went in the shower. Out loud I said, "Kitty, how did you get inside?" There was a sudden clatter in the kitchen and I heard my screen door slam shut. I called the police and they asked me: "did you see the person?" No. "Is anything missing?" Not that I can tell. About how long will it take for someone to take the report? "We're not coming out." I just want to report it in case it helps catch someone if they do it again or do something worse. "Don't worry about it. We're making note."
That was the response to an actual breaking & entering. This person ties up the police for how long to report TicTok drama? This is a very weird timeline.

I’m an og elphaba watcher and was around when they had 20 viewers max in their Tik Tok lives. They used to get on live and pretend that they had no money for food and cry and say they were starving and fans would send over money so she could buy a food shop and she’d spend the money on Maccies and scoff it on live. One time she said her flatmates in her accommodation stole food from her freezer and asked us to send her money to get food a food shop. Again she went and bought maccies but her flatmates actually retaliated, filming elphabas freezer showing that it was full of food and fans were being scammed. She set up a go fund me during this time, raised about £300 for her transition and we never ever heard about it again. Where that £300 of people’s hard earned money went, we will never know. She’s been a scammer, manipulator and a liar from day 1 and it’s only gotten worse. She blew up when she got hate crimed on live in her home town and since then she’s been getting thousands of views. After the hate crime, she received a money donation off of a famous drag queen who felt sorry for her and she argued on live with her friend Jack who was present at the time of the hate crime about how they were splitting the money and she bragged about all the new followers she got from being hate crimed. A very unusual way to react to such an event. She’s an incredibly sick person.

I think elphaba is terrible, really horrible. But I’ve also noticed on tiktok that so much of it has become a breeding ground of trans medical behaviour and just straight up transphobia which is so sad. Instead of focusing on what she has actually done, most people just turn to transphobia. It’s a strange situation.
its so strange to me because her identity has absolutely nothing to do with the horrific things shes done but her being a trans woman is being used to lobby transphobia simply because shes trans and a bad person... funnily enough anyone can be a bad person

I honestly can’t even believe the police responded to that. Idk how it works in the UK (it could have been a real police officer discussing a non-emergency complaint?) but in the US the cops would be like “yeah that’s not a crime. That’s a civil suit. Have a good day.” The end.
That’s why she was on 101 not 999. Not defending her by any means but 101 is the non emergency number you can call if you need advice. 999 if it’s an emergency

Honestly the police will do that sometimes. When I was the victim of stalking and harassment they just randomly called me and asked if they could come to my house and speak to me in five minutes. I was on my way home from work at the time and they offered to come to my work and pick me up. Although admittedly their tone was more serious on the phone call

I live in Bristol and Bridewell is our central police station so I feel like the call was legit; but in all honestly they would’ve just gone round to safeguard her and make sure she isn’t having a mental breakdown. It’s a shame she has wasted police time though there’s so much more serious things going on in Bristol right now lol

This is actually really upsetting because I was attacked by a random man and had to lock myself in my car and he smashed my car up while I was frantically trying to drive away and I rang the police and they didn’t even come out to see me I just had to report it online and I had been physically assaulted by a stranger just walking to my car from work and she gets to get the police to come out to her for this ….?
I was apologised to by the police because they had more serious crimes to go to and I’d obvs managed to get away but I had injuries and my car was seriously damaged and they never found the man I don’t think they were ever bothered about trying to find who he was and I had to take all my own pics and send them online I was so traumatised. I was waiting hours just to find out they wouldn’t be coming to me

This is exactly what the UK police do after a non-violent incident is reported, they call you then come to your house and typically sit in the kitchen and have a cuppa and take a statement. It’s weird.
