- Hey everyone! In todays video I finally install my new W2 turbo from 27WON and it is amazing!!! Went through some frustrating and difficult moments during the install but man it was well worth it in the end!!!

Southport rd in Poinciana has a long stretch of where u can really get on it on your way towards the lake by the airboat place. I haven't been there in a while but it was a good spot.

Lol yeah I try to be conservative cuz of that. Funny thing is I hear more Si's blowing up then the other civics.
I do trust my tuner to keep the car at safe levels tho and if something goes wrong then you guys are gonna get some extra content from me 🤣

@@MoisesEmpire congrats on the FL5! Those freakin seats are beautiful. So the W2 work’s decently on the stock tune for the 1.5? I have the 27W inlet pipe, cold air intake and intercooler currently. Stock turbo connected to to rv6 catted dp/fp. Would you recommend a custom tune after Big turbo install or Hondata/ktuner?
Thanks! I don't think u can run the W2 on stock tune. It's recommended to get Custom tuned ASAP so u don't risk damaging the turbo. I think ktuner has W2 tunes installed in it when you buy it but im not 100% sure so you'll have to do some research on that.

Someone mentioned that to me the other day but honestly Idk anything about it.
@@MoisesEmpire Water/methanol injection is a proven means for effectively reducing engine inlet air temperatures and suppressing harmful detonation. This allows to reliably increase boost and advance ignition timing, without using high-octane racing fuel for power gains of up to 20%. I took this from AEM website not my words. Im looking into this myself just for information purpose and if its even a thing for the 1.5t. Cheers and drive safe.

Is it safe to change to that turbo with a stock inlet pipe ? On 27won it says to be full bolt on.
Yes Its safe but it wont perform as good as it would with an aftermarket inlet pipe. If your not full bolt on then it would be better to get their W1 turbo.

Ive been debating flex fuel for a while cuz I dont have a gas station that sells it near me. I'd have to take a 30 minute drive just to get gas lol.
What cluster is that. My 18 sport hatch does not look like that
Mine is original. U have CVT? I heard the CVT cluster is different from the 6 speed.

Lol yeah that should be done way before november. Just need to get an inlet pipe and then I can go get tuned again.

Lol no I had it before the trip. Just hadn't got the chance to install it.
What tune did you run it with after the install?? Do you know if ktuner has a basemap for the W2?
I have a custom tune on my car. Ktuner does NOT have a tune for the W2. All basemaps that u can buy online are meant for stock turbo.
Does the turbo gauge still works after the upgrade ??
It should but I can't say for sure because my hatch did not have a factory turbo gauge. I think only the Si and typer have that feature.
Do we need to forged the engine? Or the transm?
Only if you plan to max out the turbo and put a tune with a lot of boost. The gears in the transmission should be good for a while but you are going to want to at least upgrade the clutch and flywheel.
27won left the engine internal stock on their project car if that helps. And they have more power mods then me lol.
So you were concerned about the condition of the oil going through the new turbo, but not concerned about priming the new turbo before starting up the engine after install?
You wouldn’t dry start a new engine without priming it would you?
This video was filmed over 3 days and not every second of he install was recorded but yes the turbo was primed.
Oh, and did you degrease your engine bay after all this?

Yeah, Got about 3k miles on it and still running great.
Do you need a tune for the turbo
Short answer: yes
Long answer: You can drive the car without a tune but u wont get all the power that the turbo is capable of. Also if the turbo is NOT tuned, you don't wanna be going full send doing pulls because its not good for the turbo and can cause it to break internally.

No I don't. If u go see my newer videos I've actually put the car back to stock and sold it. I'm working on getting the new typeR now.

Yes but I would probably get their W1 turbo cuz its a little smaller and will be easier on the CVT

Las revoluciones no se pero el psi era 29.
