THAT INTRO IS EVERYTHING! People who dont acknowledge their privelege and just go "yea im rich" trigger me, but thank god u didnt! Love a socially aware queen
1/ she's not rich, she earns good money 2/ sad that she HAD to make that disclaimer because of people like you who get "triggered" because other people earn more than you.
Txmilx ssi that’s a pretty genuine trigger tho. It rly was her responsibility to show how privileged she was before publicizing her financial success because it does stem from a place of privilege. Some people genuinely can’t have jobs that pay as much or work as hard because of disabilities, etc. it’s honestly rly gross to just assume that someone getting triggered by something like this only stems from a place of jealousy. You don’t know their life so you shouldn’t make such assumptions.
Genos West it’s still not her responsibility tbh, it’s a nice courtesy, but she doesn’t have to apologize for having better opportunities than some people. People will always have it better and worse that someone. Even the poorest in a first world country are better off than the poorest in a third world. It literally has always been like that. Everyone can’t have the same privilege and nobody needs to apologize for having good or bad fortune. It is sad that she feels guilty that her family was able to set her up for success because somewhere down that family tree someone had to work really hard and that kinda just undermines them making sure their family was successful for generations. Everyone wants to talk about generational wealth and then when they see people who have it they want to shame them and that’s not okay.
@@mileyandjustin1fan I definitely don't believe she should be guilty for the success of her and her lineage! However, because its her choice to *publicize* it, I still do believe its her responsibility to show her privilege beforehand. Yes, its was not in her control to grow up privileged, but its her choice to put it out to the world, and it could genuinely trigger or depress someone upon realization on how bad they are struggling, and how much better their life could've been if they had the same privileges growing up that she has had. Of course nobody should compare their lives to others, but sometimes, for some people, It just cant be helped. Everyone's feelings are valid, but as soon as things as such are chosen to be publicized, I really believe its in their responsibility to think of those around them. :^)
Genos West I’m sorry but being “triggered” because someone else had better privileges than you is just a nice way of saying they’re envious. She’s a grown woman who has a career and chose to give some tips that a lot of people could find useful, even if not all the tips can apply to you it’s still useful for those who do. Financial advisors and life coaches do the same exact things but they don’t have to apologize or be responsible for someone else’s envy because they’re literally just sharing information they see as beneficial to others and if you know it doesn’t apply to you then disregard the information, not get depressed because it doesn’t. The level of entitlement to feel like she is responsible for those feelings because she posted a video on HER channel that she has the 100% right to and people decided to click it knowing their situation isn’t the same is ridiculous. I’m kind of sick of people thinking just because something makes them uncomfortable everyone around them has to accommodate that, they literally don’t. She was nice enough to and that’s great of her, but to make her feel as though she has a responsibility to is sick. You could literally google how much someone makes and if it makes you sad why look for it? Why even watch a video like this if it triggers you so much? Anyone stressed about finances is old enough to realize jealousy and that they don’t have to and shouldn’t expect to be catered to.
I think you're the best editor working in the game atm. Srsly you are so fast like how and its always so creative and zesty and pretty and fun Like how SIS....... you are so freaking good
can we just take a minute to appreciate the transparency of this girl? Like, I've been a subscriber for a couple of months now and it all started with her thrifting videos. tbh I didn't really pay attention to her other videos but daaaaamn...I think I just found my new favourite youtuber.
I have to tell you that I really liked the format and the editing of this video. You do a great job of balancing the types of content contained in one video and tbh it looks effortless. I don't want to be "MAKE THAT COIN, TAKE THOSE SPONS!" because I understand the sentiment and the imposter syndrome is hard to deal with. I wouldn't even call it guilt because obviously you know you worked your butt off to get we're you are (you even said so in this video!). I appreciate that you're not treating sponserships like they're dirty or underhanded, and you being concious of your viewers makes you so much more genuine. This comment is officially too long, my bad ✌️😅
Make a patreon. I use adblockers, I don't like ads, I don't mind sponsorships because I like you. But i would 100% support you if you had a patreon (or similar).
I love how u acknowledge people of all backgrounds. You don't brag, but you also seem to have a lot of self confidence. You've helped me get through so many terrible times, and I'm so grateful for u.
You do everything on your channel. Bake, be super fashionable, give life advice, financial advice, BE VIBES AF, and just be a hilarious person all the while. You are the only UA-camr I watch because you’re the only one who does it all. Lol love you Ashley ❤️❤️
I never understand why people get upset when youtubers get sponsorships, like personally I think if you genuinely like the product then I totally want to hear about it, I understand where your coming from Ashley but I think that for how amazing your videos are I can totally sit through a two minute clip about a product that you support 💖
I think that some youtubers may not like the sponsorship products themselves but may accept it only because of the popularity of it etc but I do appreciate when youtubers genuinely like the products they talk about and wholeheartedly recommend them to their viewers :3 jhu get me?
It's about transparency. If you're getting sponsored about a product, it brings up the question if you really like and also reccomend the product or are you just saying it because the company is paying you to? Would you say the bad aspects of the product or just the good things? Personally, I think it comes down to trust. I have to trust that even though you took the sponsorship you are going to speak freely, if you like/reccomend the product you'll tell me, if you dont like it/think its overpriced/cheap quality/bad shipping times/scam you'll tell me as well. Personally I trust Ashley to be straight with me, if she does ever choose to do sponsorships I trust her to stay her opinions and just her opinions.
I'm turning 50 this year (still can't believe it) and I think you're wonderful and generous to share so much of your financial information with us. If it was more of an open topic of conversation, I think we'd all have a healthier relationship with and clearer understanding of the role of money in our lives. But somehow our value as people seems to depend a lot on not even how much money we make but what we decide to spend it on. And I can attest that at 50, my stress levels are lower than my friends and family who I see take on debt to look successful. I know they look at me as less successful in some ways, but I believe I (on the whole) feel more hopeful and energized about my future than most and a big part of that is because I think I view money like you do. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk haha! xo
Im not gonna lie.. your whole existence makes me feel bad about myself.. like its crazy how put together, successful, smart, self aware, hard working, fun, pretty... just in general cracked the code of life and doing so freaking well you are AT TWENTY FREAKING ONE like damnnnn how does it feel to be so superior 😭😭
Don't forget her editing skills are what you see first and foremost. Yeah, she's successful, but as with any youtuber, you're only seeing a glimpse of her life. If anything, take her videos as inspiration to try different things to achieve the life you want. Especially given the intro to this video, don't count her success as your failure.
you totally should keep up with the sponsorships -- I don't know if you've been getting a lot of complaints but there's nothing wrong with getting sponsorships! you're also killing it!!

Ashley don’t quit sponsorships! We really don’t mind about it at all, and are just happy you’re getting more dollahhh :))
the legend says that Ashley trains the people who talk at the end of commercials
your honesty and lovely personality are way too rare on the social media
keep it going, girl

I definitely don't mind watching a 2 minute sponsorship clip for you to get that 100k bread girl
She gets 100,000 for one sponsorship? i highly doubt that
@@shan22777 ikr she maybe gets like 10k
agree
@@shan22777 pretty sure she was exaggerating when she commented this but dumb asses like you will always take everything literal
You're cute;-)
You are probably one of the few people who really deserve their success. You are so hardworking and I respect you so much.

I thought I understood english great. Till I heard that quick disclaimer.

Hey we can handle sponsorships. We know you are a genuine person and you give us valuable content and sponsorships are perfectly fine . We want the best for you so it's cool Ashley!

Yes exactly. She's soo hardworking, it's okay to earn some extra money from the sponsored ads .
yeah i don’t mind the sponsorships and i’m sure just about no one else does either
FACTS
I wouldn't skip them. If she collabs with brands she loves, it's not selling out. So... longterm partnerships with great brands that align = worthwhile sponsorships!
its been years she stoppped making youtube videos but watching her videos while eating really makes my day....
GIRLY DONT FEEL BAD ABOUT SPONSORSHIPS!!! If these are products and brands you truly love, then why shouldnt you get paid for sharing that!!!
as a viewer, I personally get tirned off when a sponsorship is included, even though she does it well. obviously its not my choice but I think she understands that and wants to keep it more authentic
i feel the same way
Honey I truly don't mind the sponsorships. If anything, I know that if you put something in a video it is actually legit. I fully trust you. Make that coin 💲💰
I second that!
Εύη Κεραμάρου YESSSS
Ashley, you shouldn’t feel guilty for taking a sponsorship! We know you need to make a living. That said, I do look forward to your videos this summer!! 🤩 but after the summer, don’t be afraid to get that coin sis 💸💰💸
Agreed to a T.
Ikr! We're just proud of her that she can get these brands to sponsor her since that means that she has all this potential.
I second this!!x
I completely agree but just still want the sponsorships to be about products she genuinely loves because I trust her opinion and want them to remain genuine
Sarah Babiker true! But I believe she’ll always choose products she genuinely likes
ok can we just admire how effortless she matched all the colors (red shirt, red bowl, red details on the packagings behind her) JUST ME?! OKAY 😍😍

EXACTLY. Can't believe there are people in the comments saying being guilty is healthy. You should never feel bad about working hard towards success for yourself.
TRUE! A lot of people are always being salty of other’s privileges. If they’re used in a good way wisely then I see nothing wrong with it. They deserve those privileges for helping other people and making a better world at their capacity.

As an urban studies major, I greatly appreciate the fun fact ramble you gave about the 40 hr work week vs the current situation when it comes to wages and scheduled shifts. 🙌🏾
Even though you grew up middle class and make money from UA-cam at home, we can really see the hard work that you put into your videos that earns you said money and your appreciation for the value of money. You could easily spend hundreds of dollars on items of clothing because they look cool and you can afford to do so, instead you go thrifting and show those of us who cannot afford the expensive and trendy looks, how to make them yourself and work with what you have/can afford. So I genuinely appreciate your content and can't wait for you to post more!

THAT INTRO IS EVERYTHING! People who dont acknowledge their privelege and just go "yea im rich" trigger me, but thank god u didnt! Love a socially aware queen
1/ she's not rich, she earns good money
2/ sad that she HAD to make that disclaimer because of people like you who get "triggered" because other people earn more than you.
This video honestly educated me more than all my years in school

can we just take a minute to appreciate the transparency of this girl?

I never understand why people get upset when youtubers get sponsorships, like personally I think if you genuinely like the product then I totally want to hear about it, I understand where your coming from Ashley but I think that for how amazing your videos are I can totally sit through a two minute clip about a product that you support 💖
I think that some youtubers may not like the sponsorship products themselves but may accept it only because of the popularity of it etc but I do appreciate when youtubers genuinely like the products they talk about and wholeheartedly recommend them to their viewers :3 jhu get me?
clarice ._.isnotokay yea I totally get it 💖
@@josiegrace7891
I think its when youtubers promote bad brands or so many people do the exact same brand deals
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk haha! xo
Gurllllll. I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me. All you have to do is make videos and I'll stay foreverrrrrrrrr.

Your vids that you choose to do (not the ones we ask for) are so much more interesting. I freaking loved this video. You're amazing
Clover very good and respectful advice!
