I'm watching this video after the communal violence in Nuh has spilt over to rest of Haryana and innocent muslim migrants are forced to abandon their homes by hindu fundamentalists. The ignorance claimed by the speaker with regards to "communal harmony" in his home state is terrifying. Thanks for calling him out!
Vimoh, I think you actually found a BJP supporter who was willing to listen. He even appeared to re-evaluate some of his thoughts- although he could not bring himself to denounce or oppose the ideology. All BJPites I know are loud, dogmatic and unwilling to listen.
They are very eager to show their WhatsApp knowledge! It's like you just push a button and their flood gates open with everything that they have been bombarded over the years!
Physically cringing at the end because of this kid. I am assuming he is a kid because I still hope that rational adults don't think this way. Won't say it to Umar Khalid's family because it's happening to him, you can see it happening to him. But will say it to other Muslims who are getting angry just because of the "poking and making fun". All of that comes under HATE MONGERING. I have felt the shift in attitudes personally. I have had people say it to my face that they hate muslims and all of this behaviour comes from the fact that people who have the ability to stand on a stage and have mics in their hand, they say stuff that can be considered "making fun". Muslims are getting marginalised in the society because of all this. And surely an upper caste won't feel this way because they have never faced it in their life. It's very easy to be "in the centre" and not support anyone when it isn't happening to you.

Really appreciated your effort to talk on this casteism candidly (not come shouting youtuber or journalists). Also a person who is daring to ask question (though his personal knowledge is so sufacely) and ready to listen is also equally appreciated. But that guy (questioner) must travel to suburban parts of idea and be an observer for sometime to understand casteism as well as do personal research because what parents taught cannot be believed blindly (they taught exactly that their parents trickle down to them) Read moreand learn more increase clarity. I am from Haryana and I have seen both terms of Bhupinder Hooda and Manohar Lal Khattar. There is not an iota of difference in terms of development. It's because economically Haryana is already well to do. What has somewhat changed is clout of Jats has reduced apparently and upper caste who are traditional voters of Bjp feel their influenced has increased. Upper caste is also happy with visible Hindutva, in Haryana where Muslim population is almost negligible Hindutva was never an issue. And with Mewat riots and Jats and Saini's fiisure Bjp has pulled off what it needed to polarise voters in Haryana. Corruption remained same under both parties, which is actually worse, corruption tolerance in Haryana culturally remain high. So overall Bjp is actually worse Congress atleast ensured communal harmony.

@@vimoh mm.. yeah! for me it's interesting. I love to explore how different people think and how they came into being the way they are. For Amazon it seems like he had a very comfortable life. It's just my guess though, as hardships do teach us some form of empathy. Still would love to know how he actually came to this conclusion.

Brahmin here, here's how we must approach the answer. The good aspect of a Brahmin (the one defined in the Vedantic schools is study and priesthood. It's a role to be lived and not a privilege one's born with. We turned caste into privilege, Brahmins did it first.
