If he thinks supression is necessary for growth and therefore dictatorship is okay actually, shouldn't he like Stalinist USSR? It experienced massive growth after all, went from being a largely agrarian, feudal, war-torn society to rapidly industrializing and modernizing (while also providing things like healthcare and education to their citizens to the best of their ability) and became a super-power.
except the ussr was only a legitimate proletarian dictatorship until 1920, when a bureaucracy arose (lenin did try to fight against said bureaucracy but ultimately failed, as he was looking forward to an international revolution carried out by germany, but unfortunately the revolution in germany had failed) after that, the ussr became a state capitalist country rather than an actual proletarian dictatorship
@@anonymouspersonbehind5354 imo, political instability also affects economic system and also most of these communist countries failed due to political instability as much as communism. Economic system under communism is very difficult to pull or very impractical in practice on a larger scale.
