I had a black standard female that went to work with me every day. We both worked with dementia residents. She was every bit as important as I was and was so loved. She knew she was at work and how important her job was. How I miss that angel.

I love standard poodles! I just wish people would stop getting the mixes and just get a poodle. They aren't froufrou like most people think. They were made to be hunting dogs and are still being used as hunting dogs. They're so sweet! Less doodles, more poodles! 😄

My poodle grouse hunts with my husband. Last year he had a flock of turkeys in 2 trees in the front yard. He is a nose on the ground kind of dog. He perks up at the sound of geese, cranes, and when he catches a scent it's great to watch him. We live in a rural area; he has the run of our 13 acres. With the nicer weather it's nice to be back outside with him again.

I had the most gorgeous mini black poodle, Stella! She had super long legs ,traveled all over with me in ! We would sneak her into the best hotels in a large purse! She was so good & smart! I never left her more than three hours,took her to work! She passed at 16! She was my child, I never got to have! Dogs are like newborns, you have to do everything for them, forever ☺️Please tell your fans watching how much responsibility they are, especially little dogs are very needy, too many think they are toys! "Girl with the Dogs" is fantastic! She educates firmly but not overbearing! There are millions of animals put down every year, dumped🙏💙

Stella sounds like my sweetheart Ecco-a beautiful, tall, pure chocolate mini. 18 lbs of elegance and loved. I NEVER heard her growl, but she barked at anyone she didn’t know personally. Once befriended she was part of the party. I’ve had many poodles and they are all special in some way yet she was my bestie. I miss her every day but she left PLENTY of love in my heart for my current joy-7 lb pure black beauty Lollipop. (Oh and I sing My Girl Lollipop every day to her!)

I used to walk a golden doodle. She was the sweetest baby, but she had a thing for eating stuff on the road. Especially cigarettes...
One time, when I caught her picking up a cigarette, I tried to open her mouth to get it out. She quickly gulped it down, then proceeded to open her mouth to show there was nothing there. She definitely got her poodle parent's smarts 😅

I used to work in doggy daycare and one day we had a black lab puppy come in for the day. He was a regular so we knew him and his parents but on this occasion he had been staying with grandma and when she dropped him off she let us know his stomach had been upset. Later on in the day the poor guy wound up spewing from both ends and I found a cigarette in his puke. Let’s just say the mom was less than happy with her mother in law for that one

@@lucidality Yikes! Poor pup... I was always worried about something like that happening to my doodle friend. Thankfully nothing happened when I was caring for her. She did get bloody diarrhea when I first met her, but that was from chewing on her gate out of boredom. That girl was something else.

@@Ambipie See, me and my co-workers used to joke about that, but she probably did like the taste of nicotine. She always tried to eat papery things (paper towels, regular paper pieces,.... For a wealthy neighborhood, there was a lot of litter.). Cigarettes were always her favorite, though. Overtime, she got better about not eating random stuff on the floor, but she'd still try to get an occasional snack.

No kidding about poodles being scary intelligent! I’ve had the pleasure of having had two poodles
in my life. My gray poodle , Pepper, was tough as nails. My second poodle, an apricot, was such a baby. A baby with teeth.
They’re now in doggy heaven, and waiting for me. I miss them,😢

I had 2 toy poodles. The smarts with those 2 were not for the faint of heart. We called one Houdini because he was an escape artist! Any crate was no problem. He climbed my chain link fence like a ladder! He learned how to climb the tree in my backyard and would get on the gazebo roof like a goat! The other one would imitate us driving. She would stand on the drivers seat and put her paws on the steering wheel. She would even "look both ways." The 2 of them ganged up on larger dogs, bunnies, squirrels, and anything they could dominate. They both lived to 17, and I miss them every day, but I don't miss the shenanigans, much! 😂

Make sure you careful when you’re “hugging” the dogs, to you it’s hugging but to them if feels like you’re holding them hostage. Just make sure you’re petting them with you’re hugging them! Love you vids 💕
