- Our Dogs Meet Wild Animals at the Zoo
We took our dogs to a dog friendly zoo, where they meet wild animals such as rhinos, lions, meerkats and monkeys for the first time ever!

Who knew dog friendly zoos existed? We had no idea until we found this one 😂
How cool!!! 😎
I never knew there were dog friendly zoos either.
Thankyou, I found it so surreal. I was wondering if this is common in the UK. That answers that question
That would be because you actually stressing most of animals in ZOO by bringing their natural predators.
@@nightmaresturningoftendejavue well, technically, domesticated dogs aren't the natural predators of any animal (aside from those that were literally bred to hunt, and that's still not a natural predator cos centuries of breeding leaves nothing that's 'natural'). So many of these animals wouldn't even know what they are - like the large African mammals (I'm sure the meerkats realised there was something not quite right there) and the farm animals are probably used to dogs.
But yeah, I was horrified when I first saw this, and while I think they should rethink some of the animals they keep (like the meerkats), if they are going to allow dogs to visit, it doesn't seem to phase the majority of those animals (and, let's face it, if anything should freak animals out it's humans visiting)
a natural dobberman! Beautiful!
Thank you!
Never seen a doberman with its tail
Tail docking is considered to be a mutilation under UK law. The practice is illegal in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland (and many other European countries)
In some countries it is illegal to dock ears and tails, it's mutilation. At the Krupps Dog Show in Europe ears and tails are left on the dog they can with. I believe that AKC in the US accepts natural dogs. You still see a lot of dogs with docked tails and ears in the US.
I love dobermans and it's a terrible shame that their tails get docked. :(
Who knew dobermans had such long tails! Kudo’s to breeders who don’t maim the dogs!
I know right they’re so long!
When I was a kid we had a Doberman with natural ears and tail. He lookednjust like this one. Spider was a good boy....
Dittos. I hate to see dogs who have cropped tails or ears too!! I 100% agree this is butchering. Sad.
@@thegoldenkobefamilyOnly reason to ever maim a dog is to prevent injury in future. Livestock guardian dogs get their eats and tails clipped to help prevent coyotes, wolves, and other predators from having easy handles. However, pets should not be subjected to such a things. Need to keep sheep safe m fine. Want a dog that looks cool? Get a different breed.
Forbidden in Germany so they all have long tail unless out of Eastern Europe
What a sweet and charming video! I also had no idea there were dog-friendly zoos. Love your dogs!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed 😁
My thoughts also! I don't remember that from years ago. I grew up 20 blocks from the San Francisco Zoo and do not remember people allowed to bring dogs on leashes at all. Nice!!!
Adorable video. Kobe and Moki were so well-behaved.
Glad you enjoyed it 😄 they were so good
@@thegoldenkobefamilyhow do you get them so well behaved I never saw two dogs being this good especially since they are best friends and always play!
These dogs are so lucky to have you as owners, because you give them an amazing life.
Indeed so true
I'm shocked they even allow dogs in the zoo.
Why?
@@ac1646 Because there was no such thing growing up in American zoos I know in San Francisco - I went all the time since it near the Ocean 20 blocks away from my home.
@@sueprator9314 UK is very much a dog lovers nation, they are allowed almost everywhere with exception of a few restaurants. a lot of places even have doggo water outside and a doggo menu.
@@ac1646 Because if a dog got off-leash it could cause all kinds of havoc.. They're animals.
@@BeckyM154 Ty. Make sense. 😊😊
Both dogs are a credit to you. What a wonderful life you are giving them.
Dogs are just like children 😊
Children you got on a leash
TBH Old dogs are not
They are more wise and are more adult like!
Cause they grow up

I would never compare my daughter to a dog.
My dog would be beside himself to see all those animals! He would be barking his head off trying to get in and play!, 😂😂
I loved those snap shots with each animal behind the dogs. I liked camels.
Glad you enjoyed!! 😁
I liked the turtles the best.
This was such fun! What a lovely idea to take them to the zoo --- and watching them ride in the train and take in all the greenery and the breeze against their faces: what a treat! For them and for us! You make up an adorable family!♥♥♥
Rhino was my favourite photo. Such good dogs. I took my dogs to Banff (Canada) and they went ballistic when they saw a herd of deer.
We used drive, with our dogs, through a country park that has several different types of deer.
There are a few herds, and they are sometimes quite large, so the dogs loved it. No doubt they would have loved it even more if we let them get out and walk through, but where we live there are fields out the back, so I would walk round them, and we would sometimes see deer there.
GREAT PARENTS
Thank you!!
Now thats what I call a REAL DOGGIE PARK :)
Best bit the dogs enjoying their train ride ❤
They loved it!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I loved watching the two dog’s expressions. Brilliant. 🐕🦺😀🐾💞
Glad you enjoyed it
Our family Pointer wouldn't be that well behaved. Although she is great with people and her brother dog, she is a real hunter at heart. We always have to keep an eye on her.
I’m surprised how well behaved Kobe was, he has a high prey drive too
Thank you for a lovely video!
Thank you for watching!
FYI: it is illegal in the UK to dock dog tails unless recommended by a vet. Usually it's for injury or illness but also is exempted if the dog will be working and runs a high risk of injury. It has to be proven to a satisfactory standard it's a necessary procedure for a working dog and the vet who carries it out has to provide a letter confirming their reasons, plus it proves the procedure was done under anaesthetic.
This brought such a smile to my face!! Thank you for sharing such a sweet adventure with us!💖
Kobe and Moki aren't at all spoiled. 😉
Not one bit 😂🤔
Really, I liked the thumbnail at the beginning of this video, where both dogs were sitting and looking at the lion through the glass. Both dogs were showing great respect for the lion
Don’t know who enjoyed experience more, the dog, yourselves, or me 🇬🇧 thank you
Hahaha everyone had a great time 😄
😁 💞 😁 💞
LOVE The video, the dogs and the "Mom & Dad" Great stuff!
7:33 it's like Jurassic Park, if the Dinosaurs were Camels 👀
Love that the dogs had so much fun and the wild animals have so much room to roam!
No plate for the dogs?? Come on now
Hey! In the pictures showing your video we saw wolves, but they are nowhere to be found in your tour of the zoo and it’s the wolves that got my attention so why did you do that?
" Wild " zoo animals ??? An animal in the zoo isn't wild . It's domesticated . It's captured .
Well that's obviously the solution to Moki's transport problems - you need to buy a train.
Choo choo! 🚂
Why didn’t I think of this! 😂

It looks like the Dogs were much more intelligent than their human counterparts because they understood the animals in the enclosures better than the the Humans.
They understood it how? By doing what?
yeah of course youre right tho. but i need to correct the word enclosures to prison. Zoos are shit. Most of the animals have (80%) a disfunctional behavior. Most of them have depressions. Zoos are only for entertainment not for rescue animals. I can refer you "Robert Marc Lehmann" on youtube. He is a biologist, sea diver and a photographer. There you can find all right information about zoos. He did great videos. But you need to watch it with english subtitles:)
I love these two goof balls! They enjoy everything! ❤❤❤❤
They do 😂
I’m pretty sure this is gonna be a good memory for them!!
Cute, but its the dumbest thing ever to let a dog in a zoo. They are lucky that yours were ok. There are a lot who wouldn't be.
So schön ,wo ist dieser Zoo der so Hunde freundlich ist. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes I want to know where is this Zoo as well
Oh my goodness; thank you for making my heart happy. Your dogs are so loved.
Thank you for watching! 😄
I didn't know dogs were allowed to the zoo! That's so amazing! And I love that your doberman has its natural ears and tail! ❤
Neither did we till we found this place! We love that she has them too 💙
Great video! Your dogs are so cute!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed 😄
That was fun! What a great life those 2 pups have. I'll bet they slept well that night. Thanks for sharing their wonder filled adventure with us. ❤😊❤
Thanks for watching! 😁
Doesn't your zoo at least have a Triceratops?
What a cool adventure day!
OMG they were like two little children on an adventure, too cute🥰
They’re not turtles, they’re tortoises. Turtles have flippers instead of feet and spend most of their lives in the ocean.
I'm so glad I found your channel last week. I have been trying to decide on which dog breed to get as my new sidekick. Dobermans, Goldens, and Pyrenees are the breeds I'm thinking about. I thought I'd finally settled on a Golden, but then this video popped up! So hard to choose! Your dogs are beautiful. I love your videos!
That’s a tough choice!
We went to Flamingo Land in Yorkshire in the 1990s with our border collie. There was a dog friendly zoo there and he loved the monkeys but didn't believe me, for some reason, when I told him that the lions and tigers were cats.
🤨
Hahaha that’s amazing!
Ooooooooh moving rocks!!!!!😂😂
Great dog owners👍🏾
I really don't like how easily your dogs could have jumped in an enclosure. Maybe you watch your dogs well, but so many people don't. :( This is asking for trouble.
smart boy he immediately hide near the bush seeing the lion 😂
8:28 here’s the lions
I love seeing how loving you are with your dogs♥️🫶🏻I wish everyone was like that. Your dogs are beautiful🥰
If I pretend to be a dog, will you adopt me? I am a well-trained, very, very old dog, but not too old to go to the zoo and eat ice cream from a cup!
We were thinking about getting a 3rd 👀🤣
@@thegoldenkobefamily Yay! Hope you don't mind my grouchy 40-year-old Amazon parrot friend 😋
Fabulous family. People should model themselves by your standards when owning animals ❤️
I went here years ago with my border collie. We were standing outside an apparently empty enclosure when a huge tiger stood up from some long grass. My dog took one look, turned and ran, pulling the lead out of my hand. I got her back very soon but she was taking no chances with that enormous cat! I'm surprised your dogs didn't run from the lion!
so were we!! i'm sure if the lion did something like that, they may have 🤣
I had no idea there were dog-friendly zoos. Our zoos usually only allow service dogs. I love that you didn't crop Moki's ears. I hate it when people modify their animals unless it is for the job. Moki probably didn't have a problem on the train because it was open-air. Just like walking but riding outside. I love your dogs - they're beautiful. And you've trained them so well. I love the fact that you foster dogs too.
let's see how much HATE I'm gonna get for LOVING DOBERMANS with cropped ears and tails much, MUCH BETTER!! ... otherwise they look like Weimaraners
Really weird Zoo. It seems that most animals could escape easily.
Not weird for over here, since prob the 80's started to get rid of old style zoos enclosures to give animals improved living conditions & more bigger natural space. Also in UK we have a couple of Safari Park's where the animals have better bigger sections where you drive your vehicle through eg for Lions and monkeys. See Longlete Sarfari Park.
So aim for conservation, education & where possible returning to the wild over human entertainment.
@@SolarVibeEnergy I am talking about the really low fences
What zoos allow you to take dogs inside?
It's the Cotsworld wildlife park.
Some places are dog friendly only if the dog is friendly around animals and people.
Dude a rock with legs is a tortious not a turtle.
Turtles are rocks with flippers!
This was fantastic! This video made my day. Well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Unfortunately, I just looked at their website, does not seem they permits at Cotswold Wildlife Park any more
Wow taking your animals to the zoo, thats quite interesting idea! I love the concept of railway going through the zoo area, feels so much less impactfull on the animals. Thinking of our zoo in Sofia Bulgaria I feel more sad about the caged animals than the "entertainment" of it, the conditions are not right, animals need a lot of space, not "an apartment" to be happy. But your zoo was Incredible, very nice video.
You shouldn't go to a zoo with dogs. In Germany it's usually forbidden.
So, just out of curiosity, not only service dogs, but all dogs on leads, are allowed? 🤔 That is rather interesting. i figured most zoos only allowed service animals, primarily to reduce the stress potential of the zoo animals. A prime example is barking. But even just a curious dog looking at an animal could stress the animal. Even being seen by HUMANS is stressful for some animals.. lol…but luckily, your dogs are so well trained it’s unbelievable. Well… it’s not unbelievable, nor is it impossible to achieve. You are evidently brilliant at what you’ve done 😃
I’m from San Diego, and with one exception, I’ve never seen a single dog at our zoo, service or otherwise. The one time I saw one, I heard all this barking and commotion near the chimpanzees. Then I turned the corner and found an actual service dog, a yellow Labrador, with the vest and everything, barking at the chimps. 😆 And the poor lady in the wheelchair was pulling the leash to get the dog away! The chimps were behind glass, literally standing there, pointing at the dog! Nothing more! But the barking could probably be an issue for certain animals, I’d say.
Although I am impressed that you actually found a dog friendly zoo, I'm not sure that it's necessarily a good idea to have a zoo that allows dogs.
If your dog is well behaved, I don't think it would be a problem but what about dogs that go crazy barking at the animals in the zoo? I would think it would cause some unnecessary stress on the zoo animals, especially animals that would consider dogs and their relatives to be natural enemies. And, of course, many people do not have good control of their dogs and would let them harass the zoo animals, or would think it's funny to do so.
Did you see any dogs that were misbehaving while you were at the zoo?
I’m not sure I’d take my dog 😂 he’s a Jack Russell (Flash - aka Badger Mouse/Baby Bear - many nicknames 😂.) and will probably loose his cool towards the Lion or Chickens 🐓 he’s a big softy - but we have never tried him with other animals … he is not a fan of cats 🐈 and birds that swoop down at him 😂 blackbird wouldn’t let him do his business in the garden 🪴 … and Seagulls 😂 we won’t talk about them
"Wild zoo animal" is literally an oxymoron
Basically saying "free prisoners" 😂 just making fun of the title no hate he video was good 👍
I see enough lousy pet owners that would ruin this. No way any dog gets in. No?
You guys are brilliant, my fav channel on UA-cam, what you do for rescue dogs is incredible and touching, i love your two beautiful dogs too!
Long before time had a name the first spinjitsu master created ninjago 1:09

This is a whole SAFARI ❤
I just looked it up and it seems we have one dog friendly zoo in the US, Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Pennsylvania. I wish we had more!
Wow, I throughly enjoyed the trip to the zoo. Your dogs are beautiful, very well behaved and, obviously very loved.💖💞🐾🐾
Thank you so much!
Why can’t we have zoos in Australia that are dog-friendly!!!
What makes you say "you won't believe their reaction"?? The dogs seem curious and not much more. What's surprising about that? This seems like a very superficial trip to the zoo mostly to collect photos and not real experience. Boring and increasingly annoying tourist mentality.Might as well take a selfie in front of a poster of animals at the zoo.
Oh gosh, your picnic lunch looks so good! I’ll bet the dogs would have preferred sharing rather than that highly processed non-real food stuff.
You got my like by calling the Z-air-bras, I hate how Americans call them Zee-bras like they own them, they are African wild life and they should be called what Africa calls them.
They're not turtles. Turtles live in water. Tortoises live on dry land. Come on, basics please.
Take your Pets to meet Pre historic Animal Kim Jong Un . ( And You Can believe their Reaction )
Nice video, but please cut out the clickbaity thumbnail next time. I only clicked to see the video of that.
Would have subscribed if you were honest.
Looks so fun! My dog used to cry like moki (sorry if it’s spelt wrong) so we got her a doggy seat belt!and after she never whined again Mabey u should try it if you haven’t!
Thank you for doing my 2 favourite animals meerkat and otter I’ll sub and like
No wolves ? i mean ... come on wolves like their daddy ? meh ...poor judgment on that mate
The brown and black dog looks like chop from GTA and he’s the same color and he’s a dog
Should've chosen the one with the camels - that one was hilarious! XD
I can't believe this is allowed. First there is the potential stress to the animals, but also the potential for the zoo animals to be attacked, This is a zoo is not putting its animals first.
Lol I hate when I’m trying to show my dog something and she can’t focus in…like girl just sit and look
Just found your channel Gert proper love and blessings Bristol uk
The train was a hit.
I thought the Lion was going to come closer because it thought the dogs were prey.
Moky didn't cry because it was open, and he could see.
These dogs must have gone crazy on the train ride. Looking at all those very large trees ,and not being able to put their scent on them. To put it politely.
He is an Asiatic lion, isn’t he? Very few in the world, and can be found in the wild only in India.
All those animals are asking your doggie, how are you free outside?😔😐
I hope you fed these dogs before the visit to the zoo.
So they wouldn’t think you were ringing the dinner bell.
That train is what I’d like to call a cosplay steam engine. It’s an engine that is dressed up to look like a steam engine but is either a diesel or electric engine.
If you are an animal lover you don’t call the pigs bacon and pork chops, not funny
Very nice dogs!
