You are suppose to just use the release aget to clean the spot and wipe it off, they main purpose of the release agent is to get the glue off after you pop the dent since it makes the glue lose it's bond, if you use it along with the glue the glue will not bond properly and will not work
Takes a dozen times for a small dent. The puller (like all plastic) is coated with mold release (basically Pam). Take light sandpaper to the puller to rough up that surface. The release agent on the paint 1st if wet will not allow the glue to stick. It will clean off the paint waxes but should be fully dried with a towel.
Use better glue sticks than the included one. Use a lot of glue to allow the glue to seep through the holes and even around the puller. Drill some extra holes if the glue keeps coming off the puller instead of popping off the paint as it should.
Ideal for a quarter sized dent is about 6 short pull/pop cycles.
When I am trying to remove a dent, I always heat the area 1st! I have a plunger style small dent puller.

I had fun and I learned how to do it, I think the kit and you were already with a huge pressure ..... your wife ... lol ... this kit is for certain cases of dents, not all look at a friend take a knock on a door and it worked but it cost me a lot and I did it several times for the fender of my car, but in short ... thanks for sharing
