Thank you Sabrina!! You have no idea how much you have helped me understand healthy relationship dynamics and how to be in a relationship with someone ( been listening for the past few months). I still have much work to do, but I'm excited to implement these things into my habits ~ My partner and I are making amazing progress and things are going well because of your advice (and also, we are comfortable with each other, but I am looking forward to exploring our dynamic more in the right ways)
I really relate to not being able to express myself to my dad growing up. I often felt like the scapegoat in our family, enduring humiliation that mirrored his own childhood experiences. It made me so emotional that I’d almost hyperventilate when trying to voice my needs as an adult, because deep down, I didn’t think I deserved to have them. My amygdala and prefrontal cortex were totally out of sync in those moments. But after doing the inner work and learning what my rights are as a human being, I’ve noticed a huge shift. I’m much more confident now in expressing my needs and setting boundaries, and I finally understand what I truly deserve.
This was really helpful and much needed. By any chance are there or will there be any advice given for teen moms? If not, no worries, I still love this space❤
“Do you wanna be right, or you wanna be in a relationship?” WOW…. Thank you so much for always telling it like it is. I love you Sabrina ❤

What if we start to communicate and we get emotional and maybe start to cry a little. Would that mean we would need to take a step back and regulate??
Yes! That is exactly what your body is telling you, take a beat, regulate and then communicate!
I think this episode was made just for me 🩷
