Guys, quick tip: when going over tracks always approach from a 45 degree angle. Never go over straight or parallel to the tracks, diagonally going over will save your ass.

The flex deck is just like the Shuffle V4. Maybe identical. The concave edges give you thee confidence to lean further into your carving turns. Your feet feel locked in place and you can feel exactly where your feet are on the deck without looking down. This is crucial for making quick adjustments on the fly without looking down. This can save you from wiping out badlley. It also give you more leverage that's needed for deep leaning carves/turns.

hi, Need an expert's opinion please. About to pull the trigger on a Flex. Would love the Hub motors as more stealthy (MD police don't like e-boards) BUT I want to get some off-road capability and swap wheels for something like cloud wheels or even more grass friendly. I understand I could go with the Belt system and ensure I have plenty of wheel options but I want to know if there are ANY options for off-roady wheels for flex hubs as of June 2020.

pokokli marteau this is a great question both boards are good. I can not say just yet because the software for the Exway is not 100 percent finished. It’s an unfair comparison. I have the G3 and I would say both are really good. If you are looking at the G3 I would wait because Backfire is coming out with a belt drive 🤤 Let’s see what that looks like. Also hopefully by then the software with the flex will be 100 percent and I can really compare. Have you viewed my G3 review I think you will enjoy it.
prins2x that is an excellent question. You are right this board is a little shorter than other long boards. I love it. It’s the most comfortable board I have so far. I was nervous about that at first but this board exceeded my expectations. I think it’s the cut outs and the concave. But really good question.

Arborlawns yes I got my X1 up to 28 miles an hour. I can tell you the range on the Flex is much better than the X1. Being a larger guy like me, you need to get a board with a battery that is at least the size of the Flex. What style of boars do you want? You like street boards or All Terrain?

You could get this board and put the cloud wheels on it. That would help eat up the imperfections plus you are lighter so you should not lose too much torque. Your top speed should be faster too.
MrPhillips - did you end up just putting 93A bushings on the back and leaving the 90A in front? I'm only about 150 lbs and ordered the Flex so it'll be coming with the 92As (which I think will be too tight). Appreciate any input you have.
If you are a heavier rider I would get a board with that most watt hours. Look at the Backfire Zealot S Lycaon Swift Beast Board. I have reviews on all those boards.

johnthr33 the X1 Riot is a different board from this board with is the Exway Flex. You can buy the Exway with the hub system or the riot system. The riot system is the belt system. I am riding around on my Zelot now

Its my first time buying an electric skate board. The zealot looks kinda cool too. Surfing is my main sport so I like carving . I have used freebord's, regular skate boards, carver boards (nearly knocked myself out falling off that one time) , Anyways I'd like to get an electric board. Exway flex is looking like one of the best and zealot looks good too although I've seen some unhappy customers with backfire in the backfire group on Facebook. They had some battery issues with previous versions . When's your zealot review coming out :)

I thought the casing would bottom out really easily since the bottom was scratched on all the other reviews. This review really helped me pick what board to buy. I’m only 150 pounds so it’s probably not going to bottom out for me, I guess the other reviews were just jumping on the board while riding a lot. Btw, where did you get the protectors to protect the ends.

Richard Guest for the price I would get this board over the G3. The G3 is hubs only with the Flex you can choose hub or belts.i am a fan of belts. Zealot has belts too

Conor Early they name of the brand is Osiris I got them on Amazon I think. As far as my son skating we started riding regular skateboard like three years ago and electric skateboards last year. But electric skateboards are easier to ride then regular boards. The cool thing about exway is that when your son is riding it you can turn the power way down in the APP. Great review! I had been waiting for this since you said Wednesday. You touched on a point that I wanted to know about. Those concave points on the board, how are your ankles when on them for a long time?
Sunny T I love them. When I stood on it at home I was a little taken back but when you get on the road you love it. No fatigue at all honestly I think you have less because you have to work less to keep your feet in place. Any fatigue I experienced was just due to normal riding and not the concave of the deck. But this board is really smooth. Hope this helps.
I hate putting bash guards (rubber) or many accessories to a eboard it's just overkill.. but this is exway and I love the board and now this flexy deck is awesome! . great review and keep it up! very informative! support!

seungwon lee good question. The top speed advertised is 25 mph. That’s what I got. However someone who is lighter should not get a faster speed. A lighter person may get to the top speed faster though. Now someone who is 300 pounds may not get 25mph they might get 2-3 miles less because they are heavy. So they might get 22 mph. I assure you 25mph is plenty fast. Rarely will you use it. My riding speed is generally between 16mph and like 22mph because that gives me enough reaction time in case I need to stop or avoid something. Sometimes if the road is really clear I might go to 25mph. Hope this helps. 🤙🤙 What do you ride?
Richmond Sapatin I think so. They are still fine tuning the app. I would not be surprised when it comes out it is a little faster. Yeah the range surprised me too but I think if riding with the guys I will get more like 12-13. But I am happy with the board. 🤙🤙

Péter Fóti great question. I wear a size 13 so you should be good there. With your height I would assume you should be good. I was more concerned about your weight when you said you were 6’6 but you are 190. I am 225 and the board pulls me very well. You also should not have issues with deck sagging or anything. Péter Fóti you can’t go wrong with either. However I would say wait a few more weeks Backfire is coming out with a board with belts. See what they are working with. But I really enjoy this flex right now. The G3 is a little longer too. I know you said you are pretty tall.

FairchlldMusic1 personally I don’t buy really expensive helmets. Some people do and that’s fine. I look for helmets that are certified. My helmet is DOT certified.

Need an expert's opinion please.
About to pull the trigger on a Flex. Would love the Hub motors as more stealthy (MD police don't like e-boards) BUT I want to get some off-road capability and swap wheels for something like cloud wheels or even more grass friendly. I understand I could go with the Belt system and ensure I have plenty of wheel options but I want to know if there are ANY options for off-roady wheels for flex hubs as of June 2020.

pokokli marteau this is a great question both boards are good. I can not say just yet because the software for the Exway is not 100 percent finished. It’s an unfair comparison. I have the G3 and I would say both are really good. If you are looking at the G3 I would wait because Backfire is coming out with a belt drive 🤤 Let’s see what that looks like. Also hopefully by then the software with the flex will be 100 percent and I can really compare. Have you viewed my G3 review I think you will enjoy it.

prins2x that is an excellent question. You are right this board is a little shorter than other long boards. I love it. It’s the most comfortable board I have so far. I was nervous about that at first but this board exceeded my expectations. I think it’s the cut outs and the concave. But really good question.

Dan Dixon that’s a great question. I used 93a for the rear and 90a for the front. It makes the board ride amazing. I am 225 pounds.

Arborlawns yes I got my X1 up to 28 miles an hour. I can tell you the range on the Flex is much better than the X1. Being a larger guy like me, you need to get a board with a battery that is at least the size of the Flex. What style of boars do you want? You like street boards or All Terrain?

You could get this board and put the cloud wheels on it. That would help eat up the imperfections plus you are lighter so you should not lose too much torque. Your top speed should be faster too.
MrPhillips - did you end up just putting 93A bushings on the back and leaving the 90A in front? I'm only about 150 lbs and ordered the Flex so it'll be coming with the 92As (which I think will be too tight). Appreciate any input you have.
Matthew Lannan you may be fine. You don’t want the rear too soft and the motors end up touching the wires. Test it o and make adjustment.

If you are a heavier rider I would get a board with that most watt hours. Look at the Backfire Zealot S Lycaon Swift Beast Board. I have reviews on all those boards.

johnthr33 the X1 Riot is a different board from this board with is the Exway Flex. You can buy the Exway with the hub system or the riot system. The riot system is the belt system. I am riding around on my Zelot now

Surfing is my main sport so I like carving . I have used freebord's, regular skate boards, carver boards (nearly knocked myself out falling off that one time) ,
Anyways I'd like to get an electric board. Exway flex is looking like one of the best and zealot looks good too although I've seen some unhappy customers with backfire in the backfire group on Facebook. They had some battery issues with previous versions .

I thought the casing would bottom out really easily since the bottom was scratched on all the other reviews. This review really helped me pick what board to buy. I’m only 150 pounds so it’s probably not going to bottom out for me, I guess the other reviews were just jumping on the board while riding a lot. Btw, where did you get the protectors to protect the ends.

I don’t think that would work. Look at Zealot S or Zealot S2

Conor Early they name of the brand is Osiris I got them on Amazon I think. As far as my son skating we started riding regular skateboard like three years ago and electric skateboards last year. But electric skateboards are easier to ride then regular boards. The cool thing about exway is that when your son is riding it you can turn the power way down in the APP. I don’t do that for my son because he can ride as fast as me. We also wrote children’s book about skateboarding. Go to my sons UA-cam page search The Adventures Of Littles Jam. Ahmed Damarany that is a great question. Not at all. At first I did not like the contour when I first stood on it at home. But when I rode it my goodness. I love it.

Yo im about or over 270 pounds and i have the bash guards and the risers that come on stock on my flex and i get a ton of clearance when on the board. most people arn't gonna need this info but i was looking for it and couldnt find it so if anyone needs this info i got you. (note. i got the official bash guards from Exway, the ones he has on here are different than those
also Exway told me they adjust the belt tension during assembly like well, i checked when mine came and it was good

Great review! I had been waiting for this since you said Wednesday. You touched on a point that I wanted to know about. Those concave points on the board, how are your ankles when on them for a long time?
Sunny T I love them. When I stood on it at home I was a little taken back but when you get on the road you love it. No fatigue at all honestly I think you have less because you have to work less to keep your feet in place. Any fatigue I experienced was just due to normal riding and not the concave of the deck. But this board is really smooth. Hope this helps.
I hate putting bash guards (rubber) or many accessories to a eboard it's just overkill.. but this is exway and I love the board and now this flexy deck is awesome!

does the board go faster or slower if you are a heavier rider?
seungwon lee good question. The top speed advertised is 25 mph. That’s what I got. However someone who is lighter should not get a faster speed. A lighter person may get to the top speed faster though. Now someone who is 300 pounds may not get 25mph they might get 2-3 miles less because they are heavy. So they might get 22 mph. I assure you 25mph is plenty fast. Rarely will you use it. My riding speed is generally between 16mph and like 22mph because that gives me enough reaction time in case I need to stop or avoid something. Sometimes if the road is really clear I might go to 25mph. Hope this helps. 🤙🤙 What do you ride?

Richmond Sapatin I think so. They are still fine tuning the app. I would not be surprised when it comes out it is a little faster. Yeah the range surprised me too but I think if riding with the guys I will get more like 12-13. But I am happy with the board. 🤙🤙

Péter Fóti great question. I wear a size 13 so you should be good there. With your height I would assume you should be good. I was more concerned about your weight when you said you were 6’6 but you are 190. I am 225 and the board pulls me very well. You also should not have issues with deck sagging or anything. FairchlldMusic1 personally I don’t buy really expensive helmets. Some people do and that’s fine. I look for helmets that are certified. My helmet is DOT certified.
