I try to get all info for you...also make it as best possible so it helps in the decisional process. The BMS is the best I have seen so far.

Mr. Phillip would you happen to have a review of the board? Seems like Exway is on sending their sample board to few UA-camr reviewer.. I cannot compare since I have only tried the nls pro and v2 plus boosted and nls is no way close to my boosted

@@kkronoss90 if you dont live in a place where eskate is illegal, then get the belts. Trust every rider on this. Having 4 wheels of completely polyurethane, vs 2 real wheels and 2 hard steel drums surrounded by only cms of urethane. Plus that poly surrounding the motor isnt a good heat sink. And your motor is enclosed otherwise. So most hubs have more performance drop off than Belts due to heat. You CAN totally get hubs(torgueboard has great hub or direct drive motors that give you all 4 wheels as regular wheels) but they typically cost more to do right. Belts are the best, budget to performance to DIY capability, ratio I know of. backfire G2(hub motors) was my first board. My buddy went for the wowgo 3(3x?) Belt version. I like his board WAYY MORE. mainly because the ride is just... cloudier. If that makes sense? Its softer but more responsive, less weighty feeling. Smooth but by no means lazy.

And you can push the hub when your battery goes off. It seems it has less maintenance. Morever law is still not clear here in Italy. I am waiting for a hub review and a close comparison but thank you for your kind reply!

Man, great, great work. So much respect.
As for the issues, I wanna imagine that:
1. Exway will digitally update its brakes behaviour
2. The excessive concave, as you say, may be an overkill with those wheels but come very handy for like Abec 11 wheels. And regarding this:
3. The clearance from the belt guards with the stock wheels is just _ridiculous_ . It's pretty obvious to me that in the end those are the results. Imo, you gotta buy this board and almost instantly upgrade for bigger wheels. And yes, with bigger wheels the braking issue gets ever more urgent to address.

Yes indeed. I will post soon a video with the cloud wheels and respective pulley. Not sure will make sense for my weight to have these wheels since it drastically reduce the range unless I get a bigger pulley to keep same gear ratio. Yes braking is not drastically improved even after updating the firmware. I need better brakes.

Just a quick update, I just got the shipping notice that it will be delivered on 7/23! I ordered it on 7/16, that's only one week! Incredible! For anyone wanting one, order now, they're on top of it at the moment. EDIT: I made a mistake. I mistook the shipping notification for a hub motor from Meepo to be the notification for the Exway Flex. The Exway has not shipped yet. Verreal is not that good for range anymore. Look into eovan carbon. Has the best range. You can also use my code from the video and better price. Eovan is the best now.

@@ian-wr1hk lycaon is not that that good. I tested their board and they felt inferior to eovan and exway. I would not own this board long term. This company is not advancing and does not bring improvements as exway ot eovan. Does not hold value in my opinion.
Hands off the exway products (!): The goods were delivered with a defective battery, the board abruptly stops running and can no longer be braked (this is life-threatening).
Currently I argue with the support in endless chats. I would have no claim to intact replacement, since I have driven the board. This is NOT the case, as the battery after the first charge showed the above defects.
Save yourself time and nerves, go to another manufacturer.

Could you please tell me how many 18650 cells and what capacity cells are inside this particular Flex and how are they layed: parallel, series? I'm planning to open it up when I get it to upgrade to larger capacity cells, I just don't know how many cells I'll have to buy.

I am working on the pulley for the cloud wheels and after i review the boundmotors I will get back to Verreal and tear it down to shreds....same with the Flex hubs and post the videos. for $650-$700 range these are amazing boards. I also really like the Vestar V2 pro for $450...really good entry level board or back up board.
12 miles thats insane faster charging time like maybe 1-2 hours and a less chunky battery im 100% gonna invest my money and buy this board

I also wear size 12 and would like a slightly wider board. So my question is what boards would be compatible with this and how would it be mounted? Thanks for the video!!
What deck are you looking to swap with? ITs not complicated but will require some minimal adjusting depending on concave of the deck you are swapping with?

Great review! Relatively happy with my Ownboard W2 but, if it breaks, the Flex would be the board I would replace it with.
Even if it does not brake Flex is far more superior and better than any other brand. Firmware update coming soon.

Thanks, all the boards I purchase or get to review are going through 2 weeks tear down. I think transparency is key here! The board is really good but needs updates and some more polishing. If they include the 5th mode and swappable battery than all other brands are in trouble. The BRAKES needs immediate attention.

Range wise, would this be close to the Verreal RS ? How do they compare?
Verreal RS has close to 20 miles in range, has more acceleration and its less flexy. Verreal does not have the tech features that Exway flex offers. Both boards are cool now it depends on preference and design.
Any update on the “battery overheating” error???

I have never tried backfire. Sorry....I will try to compare as soon as I get my hands on a backfire model.
Would it effect the ESC/board if you used a 12s 4p or anything other than 2p, if it was the same sony Vct6 cell?
I am sure the BMS will reject that. This BMS is more superior than any BMS I have seen. I could only entend the range of the PRo 1 version after exway game the the updated software. Otherwise it did not work.

I would choose Verreal RS. I have been ridding it lately and I really like it a lot. As the second option I would use Flex for portability.
What is the latest update on this board? Did exway corrected some of the problems like poor brakes and acceleration? I am interested in this board. Also did you test this board with bigger wheels? How does it feel if yes?

My backfire g3 has given me to high voltage warning from braking off a full charge! Both use hobbywing esc though.

Hi, I’ve heard some rumors about the acceleration and breaking power weakens when the board is in the low end of its battery life - True? And does it manage hills as good when its on a low battery procent?

Hello, do not know you name? I love your comprehensive and professional reviews. Since you test and try so many options and boards I hope you have the time to answer me. I have a Wowgo 3 which I like but the roads are a bit rough here so I am considering a belt board. I am leaning towards the Wowgo 3X over the Exway flex because I think it may be a bit less loud, also the deck is bigger and a bit more flex. The Wowgo also carves so well and turns tightly.What do you think? Also want to perhaps put bigger wheels on which perhaps on the Wowgo requires risers? Also looking at your flex review I think the flares look a bit uncomfortable? Can you also explain the new pulleys for the cloud wheels since the core may be change because of cracking? Do these still support both Abec and cloud wheels or do you have to buy new for each wheel? Hope you can answer me, thank you.

You mentioned the ability to choose to mount all components to a different deck. I noticed on other videos that some wires seem to be routed through the deck. How would this work with swapping out decks. I only ask this because I’m very interested in the Exway Flex but want the freedom to swap decks. Great review BTW.
The wire can be routed on the outside of the deck or you can use a router and epoxy the channel when done. Either way will work. thank you for the nice comment. Also if you chose to buy the board use the code I place in the description video box. You will get a better deal.

You need to request specific pulley. They send them free with the board.

I pre-ordered one, had my eye on the Wowgo 3x belt drive, because of the break and torque, I'm kinda regretting it now, think the breaks will get better, and torque and break wise, is Wowgo 3x better man?
Wowgo customer service is not that great. They reply to the email really slow. Exway will definitely fix these issues and even go the extra mile. Exway will have the best boards when it comes to tech side. Cancel the Wowgo and get the flex.

Ya made the right choice. Cuz which board is gonna be better in 6 months to a year. 2 years? The lifespan extension of the exway via firmware updates is huge. Makes any non DIY board stay competitive after a single season of tech, specs, and learning curve upgrades happen every year to the industry.

flex stock wheels are good.
You can downsize to kegels 77a or get 90mm flywheels. Wouldn't suggest going any bigger. I've seen x1 pros with cloudwheels tho

You can DIY anything. Exway has 7 inch and 8 inch width trucks.

not really. the remote and esc from flex are proprietary and esxay remote is better than flipsky 100 times.

hey, about the brake problem, i’m pretty sure Daniel Kwan and even a reviewer from Electrek said that the brakes were just not programmed well on the preproduction models, and they should already be fixed, or at least on all shipped out models

Nah, DK just said they SHOULD be fixed. And he made it clear that was his opinion of how Exway would handle it, he didnt have that on any kind of authority.

Literally at 10:08 in his vid he said”im pretty sure the brakes should be fixed by this point already”. And yeah i’ll definitely take his opinion at much higher value than yours, as he was clearly communicating with the head of Exway throughout the making of his vid, and Exway are known to listen and improve

I ride mine at max speed everywhere I go and it overheats after 50% battery is used. Every time!!! So frustrating. It locks up the wheels only allowing me to go again once it cools off
Speak with the company and use the warranty to replace the damaged parts. Exway flex is awesome on my end.

Is it better than the vestar night fury though?
night fury has insane range. So Flex for short fast commutes and Vestar for super long rides.

Exway really need to be more realistic with their claimed range. I find whatever the stated range is if you halve that then there would be your realistic range. Give or take a few kms
I am happy with the range. I get from Boosted stealth 6 miles and 12 miles with Flex and more power delivery. I got the final production esc and the board so much better now. Video coming in several days.

The clearance is ok...the plastic is brittle, needs to be more soft. It is cold now and they snap.
Great review! But I believe this company is no longer in business. You can’t buy the boards on there website or on amazon. I also do UA-cam videos and they sent me a board to do a review and shortly after I got it there website said no longer in business 💁🏾♂️
Due to tariffs and logistics, exway disbanded there US and I think EU team, and consolidated them all into the china HQ, where they now ship out of internationally.
Yes they also have representatives in NYC that ship the boards in US.

Man that motor guard looks beated up, I'm concerned about longevity. How is it compare to the wowgo 3x?

I would opt for less concave.
I think the concave is suppose to help keep the deck from twisting as much while still providing a lot of flex. That's just a theory i don't know for fact.

It's a personal preference, I know, but your foot placement is not optimal for speed. The rear foot should be more parallel with the board (toes facing forward more) and front foot more perpendicular (toes facing edges). This gives more stability because steering is almost completely on front truck and this avoids wobbles. Watch pro downhill riders stance and you'll see what I'm talking about. Also, you can position rear foot closer to the front of the board but since it's flexy I don't know if it will work. Did you have any issues with battery scraping the road if you put your feet closer to the center? Great video, btw, thanks for being honest.
I am not a pro downhill racer and I exposed my personal opinion so regular riders with bigger feet know about this. I do regular riding with speeds between 5 to 25 mph.

all american brands are made in china now...Flex is by far better than boosted and almost 60% cheaper with more range and more speed not including all extra features that boosted does not have.

How is this a copy of Boosted? Boosted copy other brands. Loaded deck, loaded wheels.....and now all parts are made in China. Flex has so many features that Boosted can only dream about and all of this at 60% cheaper than boosted!
It's like every android phone copying the iphone when it released 13 years ago. Now every phone's form factor has the same origin, but I don't see many ppl complaining about that. The esk8 market needs some competition and boosted simply can't/won't bother
