- Truck Buyers SCREWED As New Prices SOAR! Cost Of Living CRISIS Worsens!
@carquestionsanswered
Our latest video helping you buy cars is all about new car prices. We're breaking down the situation so you can buy your next car with ease. If you're out shopping for cars, SUVs or more, this video will help you with the continued rise in new vehicles prices and the impact its having on the car and truck market. Buyers are running our of money and because of these high prices, less people are buying, causing some REPOS at the dealer level as they too have massive FLOR plan costs.
Oh yes, and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE for more car lovers lifestyle: / @markholubetz
I certainly am not screwed. I can keep an old truck running a lot longer then those dealers can sit with those new ones on the lot.
Smart move 👌 👏 👍
Well said!!!
Imagine a truck sitting for 2 or 3 years on a parking lot the rust and all the rest and paying 120 000 =NO
The prices are high because people keep paying it.
Agreed!
Exactly 💯 %right
100%
Some would be shocked to know what many folks are willing to pay to drive a big, new SUV. They will overpay for an SUV they don’t need, when a Camry would serve them just as well.
I know people that are very well off and even they aren’t buying cars…
200k for a truck is bat shit crazy.
The whole bat cave crazy!
Same bat channel...same bat time...same batshit crazy!
Exactly my thoughts
260 grand for a Super Snake
100 k is
In Canada, car prices haven't gone down much, Canadiens always get screwed compared to Americans.
Thanks Justin
Thats true, thinly smoking deal I saw was a base RWD with plastic floors and seats with the V6
@@mikefoehr235 Thanks Ottawa, they're ALL criminals.
i suppose it is payback for all those canadian quarters that show up in our economy
Canadian market always moves at a glacier pace when it comes to prices adjusting downwards.
The customer looking to spend $75-100,000 for a vehicle, sure as hell, ain't looking to buy a pickup truck.
💯💯✔✔
Straight up, dude.
I could get an RV for that money 💰
Who is spending this kind of money on trucks? It's not my neighbors. Typical household income is north of $200k.
My bro is gonna stop buying McLarens and Ferraris- and get the new super standard: pickups
Mark, NOBODY NEEDS ANY VEHICLE WITH AN MSRP OF $50K +
I agree, 40 grand tops should get a new 4x4 half ton and a V8 engine
As long as people continue to buy, car manufacturers will continue to raise prices. And why not? Car manufacturers are in business to make money, as much as they can!
Enjoy this connection between Mark and Brandon...hope there are more.
Thanks very much. Yes this sounds like a great combo.
in other words, dont trade huge volumes of money for 4 wheeled turds.or you WILL regret it.the price will be dropping like a rock when these dealers go bankrupt.interest isnt coming down for the forseeable future.alot of dealers are allready done.they just dont know it yet.you must remember, the dealers are paying HUGE amounts in interest on unsellable vehicles.funny how karma can bite the GREEDY in the A$$.its well deserved too.
who is stupid? who would pay more than 100k for that junk
Even at 100k is stupid. In 2018 my f150 platinum was 60k and now they are o er 100k it's lunacy.
there are idiots out there that will
@darrelldarrell1447
My 2021 platinum hybird was 85000, that same truck MSRP is 115000, 30000 increase over three years
@robqwertyuipp8750 like I said lunacy
@@darrelldarrell1447 agreed
Thanks to the EPA and CAFE standards (i. e. our government) we can no longer buy the old 4 cylinder, manual transmission, single cab small pickups that Toyota, Nissan and other companies used to sell. That’s all I’d need in a truck.
I like how he talks about the beautiful chrome, and amazing paint colours and look at those super cool mirrors!
Then he goes monotone and shows the price...lolzzz
Haha
Greed! Greed, and more greed....cost to much.
Greed is good!
The question is why?? None of this makes sense if there not selling who is going to buy these Trucks?
Pride. They must be very proud of their creations!
My guess is they are trying their best to force the populous these high prices into being the norm. If it pays off they will be making a crap ton of funny per truck for ever. If it doesn't they can lower prices...
Don’t believe these clickbait videos. These vehicles are selling otherwise the prices would go down.
They don’t care about selling, they care about people pay the price or don’t get it at all🤷♂️🥳😝
Looking at these new truck prices makes a moped with a milk crate on the back look more attractive.
Who’s stupid enough to even want to pay these prices .
Not this cowboy
@@markholubetz absolutely
The only people buying these overpriced junk is rich people and suckers
There are plenty of woke government workers who make 200k plus salaries for doing nothing but fake narratives.
Why shouldn't they buy new trucks? They want to look like people who actually work for a living, you know, because that's "cool".
The more people learn and hear about EV's the less demand for there is.
The only people that need an $85K pick-up truck are the manufacturers.
Full size truck= regular sized half ton.
Mid size trucks = small size narrow seat trucks.
Maverick and such = mini trucks.
Don't be a sucker and pay the same price for a Ranger that you paid for an F-150 five years ago.
That’s definitely a way to break that down
I still see new dealer tags on trucks here, and used trucks at, 80,000 with 150k miles are still flying off the lot here. With 17% intrest. 1,800.00 a month for 84 months, rolling mortgage.
Whose paying 17%
I drive by a handful of dealers on my way to and from work and they are having a sad memorial day. It's like McDonald's. They are making up their losses with the over price of the product.
People stop buying, prices will eventually be forced down.
No buying equals desperation
NO JUSTICE NO PURCHASE!!!😮
At what point will they HAVE to start lowering prices?
I think we are going to have to rely on incentives because not sure base prices will be lowered much from the factory. The ratchet effect.
@@markholubetz I see....yeah that makes sense. So I guess my question is when will they give incentives big enough. They are gonna have to do something
2008 Colorado at $15k, 2012 Sonic at $20k, 2018 Silverado at $30k. I'll have to downgrade the next purchase and it will still cost more.
How much do you think a car cost?😂 🤷♂️🍀
Dodge dealer by me has rams at $37k now, 4x2 quad cab I think. Not bad but still too much for me
Thats getting a slight bit more affordable.
you can get a frontier pro4x for 36k now. 6500 off sticker
@@yourmanzach2307 I'm actually in the market for the 08-15 titan pro4x. I own a 4x4 xterra and frontier isn't big enough to justify the upgrade
Still too high
ECB & CQA what a pair !! You two are my favorite car channel dudes !! Get the Idahoan and the guy in the UK onboard and get on the fly reports from all over. And don't forget Ray & Zach !!
Great points and I really appreciate your support. Cheers.
They "could" sell those trucks...sell them for 1/2 MSRP.
They could if they wanted
That’s the keyword, “could”.
People need to stop buying new vehicles and let the stealerships stand on their own feet
Indeed
2007 volvo xc90, 305000 km. Runs like charm.....3500 bucks 2 years ago and I love it!!!!
Keep it going if it works
@markholubetz way cheaper to repair and maintain than purchase.
Y’all rich as heck in Canada.
No not at all just idiots that get 8 year financing at 9% on 100k truck
Does the sun ever shine in Canada?
Not very often sadly enough
I was in Newfoundland maybe 2005 ish, it was sunny and 70s along the north coast where i went see kayaking. An anomaly but it was nice!
Not with Trudeau in charge.
Not since November 2015
It will when once again when Trudeau is gone
I have a 2008 Nissan Altima that is falling apart. I have been waiting for the car market to crash for the past two years and I am running out of time. I was at a few dealerships this weekend and the most I saw off MSRP was about 12-15%. Doesn't seem like much of a deal when they have gone up 45-55%. After seeing all these new 2025's coming out are actually going up in price, I am starting to lose hope that prices are actually going to down. I just want to know who are all these people that are buying $70K+ trucks?
I bought a loaded Rebel in 2016 for half what they want for one now…. Hell no…. Maybe 60k but no more
Yes these prices are beyond silly
I just don't like 4 door trucks, but people want them I guess. Now that's all they seem to sell.
at these high prices, people can't afford two cars, if they want a truck, they also require it to be able to haul a family around...in the past a driveway would have a single cab truck with a long box for work and hauling stuff to the landfill...and parked beside it was the family sedan which was used for vacations and trips to the mall etc.
I won’t buy a 4 door truck. They are being forced on us. The dealers try to tell e that they have Bette resale value. I want a large bed small cab because I actually use trucks. It’s not something I resale I just drive them until they can’t run anymore.
I live in edson alberta ; seen on ford lot f150 Xl for 68 400 bucks !!! Holy crap , will well over 70000 out the door !
Ouch and thats almost a base truck
I still think there is people buying these and that is why the prices actually keep going up
There are some people buying, but the increase is motivated by different reasons
Yeah, not everyone is broke😂
If it cost 50 grand, it cost 50 grand🎉🍀🥳
I drove past our local Dodge/Ram dealer here on the prairies yesterday. The huge lot was packed with new trucks from 2022 and up. Employee vehicles were parked on the adjacent public street because there was no room left on the lot. NUTS!
I wouldn't mind a new truck but the prices are nuts. Nissan could prolly sell a ton of titans if they decided to just price the truck affordable but they'd rather just cancel it then not make record margins on it.
Exactly, make it more reasonable and people would scoop them uo
the greatest crossover since the Avengers
Nice
"Or so they say" I say "no way"
That's funny. I made a offer on a hd today. I doubt they'll accept it. They had it marked down 5 k and I offered then 7 k less than the marked down price. Thing is. I don't care what they price it at. Offered them what the truck is worth to me. Gave them a straight otd number. Take it or leave it.
Since it is otd I offered it's really probably 18 k under. Yeah. It's my price. MSRP minus man discount minus dealer discount then I take my discount and toss the fees with the otd offer. They dont take. Oh well. I dont need the truck.
I'm in America. Nice truck. But I'm not moving. That's simply what it's worth to me. If it's worth more to them, or someone else. Let them buy it
I haven't seen any pickup yet worth more than $50k,they are crazy 😜 😮
Yes I can’t believe the costs of some of these
i personally think the age of these new large trucks is over, on my street 75% drive a large truck, there but I haven't seen a newly purchased one in the neighborhood since about 2020-2021....We Sold our silverado and got a wrangler back in 2018...still driving the wrangler...turns out we never really needed the truck...you can fit a washer or dryer in the back of a wrangler 4 door....if you leave the back window up you can get all sorts of lumber 2x4's 2x6's...even 12 footers in there...the wrangler is better off-road a and is much easier to park at the mall....oh and no matter how much you modify your truck, there's always someone who has a 'better' truck :)...and for some reason they feel they need to impress you with it...
Sure...all these new trucks look very good and attractive. But, what about the unreliability and lack of quality that comes with most of these trucks...on top of the ridiculous prices? Who wants that? I would sure hate to be a car salesman about now...even before now!
It is because people always buy stuff they don’t need and buy stuff above what they can afford. And of course buyers with must have it mentality 😊
Prices are going up because someone will by them. I seriously don't see any dealer tags on trucks on my daily commute so I have no idea who's buying
I like your channel but when It comes to EVER buying a new truck they have just priced me out of the market! I feel that my wife and I make pretty good money and all we owe for is our home and I still get sick when I imagine paying these kind of payments, not counting taxes and insurance its just insane!
Wait, all the channels are reporting that the bottom is falling out…??
Well.....
The supposed chip shortage which was in theory to blame for vehicle "shortages" sounds just as ridiculous today as it did during the so-called pandemic. And as everyone knows the vehicle "shortage" thus was the rationale for jacked up prices way over MSRPs. And as far as through the roof grocery prices, isn't it interesting that these new inflated grocery prices started taking place in earnest right at the same time that pandemic-related extra funding in food stamps (over $200 per month for individual U.S. households) ended in late 2023.
It’s unbelievable the amount people I see on the road driving these large trucks.
Vehicles and like kids, if you can't afford them, don't get them
haha nice
Simple way to solve the problem, just do not buy anything!
agreed
No the buyer screws themselves signing the dotted line. Do you NEED a brand new truck every two years????
Like mama says don’t buy and price will fall
That can help
It’s crazy that they’re still that much, the economy is slowing down and people are not buying but the dealers want above MSRP!?
Prices keep rising by many OEMs
I still see over 10 new 2022 ram 1500 trucks on the lot. Even with discounts they can't afford it. Not to mention gas, insurance, taxes.
I hope the rats & mice chew on the electrical harnesses on all these over priced vehicles these dealerships really got the nerve to slap the consumers in the face, unfortunately there will always be suckers who buy into all this dealer greed, Im happy with my 17 Tacoma the con dealerships will never see me again other then buying OEM parts.
Exactly, if a person has a decent vehicle, ideally its the best plan to keep them running as long as possible, at least until we see prices drop to a place where it almost is too good.
"Than" not then.
If you think "the inflation rate has only gone up 3 or 4%", you need to get out of the auto lot.
Inflation is 30 - 40%. Everything else is a lie.
Yes that I would agree with however all of the financial “experts” tell us inflation is not that bad, lol
Insane
Thanks
I always have to laugh at those big crew cab trucks with a 5.5' bed. It just looks weird. A 5.5' bed on say a Frontier or a Colorado works since they are smaller trucks. Just my opinion.
what they gonna do with all those's insanely high prices cars ? the banks are tightening up credit acces and the depression is coming bankruptcy is awaiting for a lot of them!
Greed is a hell of a drug!
Well….
I like the buyers that spend 100k on a truck but dont use what its designed for like towing and using the bed of the truck lmfaoooooooooo
Year by year ICE engines are going to continue to go up in price. By 2030 the average gas engine vehicle will be $100k and starting at $80k. EV development is happening fast and China is being super aggressive in battery tech development. Right now China is miles ahead of GM and Ford with some Chinese carmakers already profitable on EVs. Those who say they will never buy an EV will really never a choice in a few years as prices will determine who can afford a $100k ICE car or a $20k EV.
I disagree. There is this thing called the petro dollar. If the petro dollar isn't America's future what is ?
I'd like to know who in the world is paying these STUPID ASS prices.
In 2000 my F250 4x4 off the lot cost me almost 30k.................guess what? It's old but the new trucks are almost all plastic...... keeping my 2k Ford until the wheels fall off. lol. I honestly told the ford dealer recently in 2023... that they were crazy if they think I'll buy a new vehicle! Even if I could (Nope), aint no way I'm sign 80k+ for a new one.
I will buy an old Chevy truck 60s to early 70s. These modern trucks are too expensive and way too complicated. For 20 to 30k you can do quite a few mods on an old school truck. Especially when you turn the wrenches. 😂
Well said!
Yikes!
Absolutely true
This is all part of the plan.
Sure seems that way
I think the build up in inventory is a sign that the manufactures are going to be laying off mass amounts of auto union workers through the summer months IMHO. There will be plenty of inventory to sell and no need to build more vehicles until fall maybe. Dealers are doing fine around here in the Midwest. I have talked to several dealers and they are not seeing a decline in sales any different than before the pandemic. The auto market is basically back to the normal inventory levels and seasonal swings of the market. The sky is not falling! Just think about this, if the general population of people out there stopped worrying about keeping up with the Joneses and stayed out of debt there would not be an issue with someone wanting to buy a new vehicle. The only people that can't afford the new autos are the ones in debt over there heads. Who's fault is that? It sure is not the auto manufactures, the dealers or the banks. Maybe the people complaining about prices should look in the mirror and ask them selves how they got to this point in life with debt. Excess spending creates demand and that is how things become inflated in price!
A lot of people are not making enough to even afford rent how can you buy a car when you can't even make any $$ to pay for it!
On the contrary… buyers are not screwed, as long as they refuse to pay these asinine prices! Don’t give these companies a dime. Keep your current vehicle as long as possible. Let these trucks sit on the lot and after so long, these salesmen will be literally knocking on your door.
it's a hail Mary pass for the manufacturers.
Its shaping that way as they are hoping someone is watching and listening to these "deals"
You can still find 10 15 year old trucks with solid frames and rockers.look around .some good picks would be Earley 2000.s ram pre 08 chevy silverado 2011 to current f150 pre 2020 toyota tundra .Nissan titan.look around .
Yesterday it was the crash of auto prices because ppl are tired of paying insane amounts today it's high again. And everyday you make a video
Dont worry...even if you think youre doing well now...thats going to change. Think currency collapse...we are already in a deep depression, no matter what the government is saying. We are in real trouble folks.
It's just so stupid, high prices doesn't bring profits....If it's not selling, they are no making money...
The fact is that car sales are up in Canada. Light vehicle sales in the first quarter of 2024 totaled over 391k units, representing a 9.1% increase relative to the same period last year.
Car volumes were up 17.4% year-on-year (y/y) in the first quarter, while light truck volumes were up a more modest 7.6% y/y.
is that sales to the end consumer from the dealer or is it sales between the manufacturer to the dealer lots...if it's the latter, my guess is they will only be able to keep the numbers up for other quarter or two before the dealers lots are completely full.
Exactly and what part of that is also fleet sales?
Just waiting for the market to crash so I can finally get a nice new car lol
😂😂😂😂 I'll keep my $170.00 a month car payment 😅😅😅😅😅
That’s a solid oayment
Keep raising em, I’ll keep not buying the MFs. LOL
Nice
Looks like public transportation may become the only alternative! Paycheck isn't getting any bigger so no ty!
The 3 to 4% inflation rate that you were quoting is the “official” inflation rate. Real inflation rates are markedly higher.
I’ll never buy an American truck unless it’s a Cyber truck
Exakt.,till och med jag börjar att betala bränsle räkningen prio 1.
You two join forces and start a new channel pulling and and joining forces with other UA-camrs. Create a new collaborative space for all things auto market/industry.
200K for a truck?
Canada for the win....not!
People aren’t buying them where I live
Not many here either
Just go buy a $1000 2000-2004 Tahoe. Their great.
Nice
Don't buy into EV insanity and the crap resale that goes with it. Buy a good used ICE vehicle or just wait until the fire sales begin on new vehicles.
Yes
They won't sell until they get the point that the demand is not that high for that high of a price. They need to learn about supply and demand and lowering prices when demand is not that high.
They doing that because they want you to start buying electric cars if they go up on the gas guzzler raise the price real high maybe you said forget it. I’ll go get the electric car. I’m not I’m not getting electric car and I’m not paying a high price for gas guzzler, lol
wages, prices,employment #s need to be retho😊
would be nice
Prices are going down near me.
Damn
I know…right?
Let it burn “It’s priced to move “.🤣🤣🤣 To who ?
I agree, typical industry nonsense jargon
SCREWED.

No sweat CEO are get rich people will lose there jobs people are so tired of get RIP off and now repo are thur the roof no worries it will all work out not keep you old ride and wait or small suv and a utility trailer
Fuck it let the whole system burn down .This is what happens when corporations don’t want to pay people yet you want them to buy your products.🤣🤣🤣Banks and car dealers are going to go under
