Nothing beats riding sportsbikes on fantastic roads in France, chatting on about the adventures of the day with your mates, on a local French terrace ,sipping on Belgian beer.... carpe diem!

I think 44teeth nailed it. Scenery, riding with mates, ackward moments (running out of petrol at the worst places), pushing (SS) bikes in twisties....This is what a (riders) life is all about. GJ gents! Merch support incoming.
This is such an excellent series, and truly embodies the spirit of motorcycling. I hope to have friends one day that will ride and go on trips with me.
God I love this channel. It really captures what it is to be a motorcyclist. I hope I will build up the courage to do this too one day.

A year later, and this still holds up. This is one of my favorite 44/baron vids, and is definitely my favorite bike tour video on YT.
There's a "Long Way Round" charm about this video - getting on your bike, going somewhere new, problems happen and you meet awesome people as a result. More of this please! :)

A great episode guys. Backroads are the way to go. That's my preferred stye of riding unless I absolutely must make time, if not, it's all back roads for me. A lot of scenery and great twists and turns. Well done!

Bloody love Bridgestone rubber. Been using a BT023 / T30 combo for a few years now. Knee down capable all year round even on roundabouts with mud on them and the mileage is excellent !
This encapsulated all that is great about two wheels. Definitely going to get some merch. Love it!
Infinitely more watchable than new Top Gear. Gutted I didn't get in on this when it all started.
You forgot to mention how well the tyres coped with the rain. And the R1 done a tank of fuel in 80 miles, someone was spanking it.

I just bought a pair of the S21's. I'm still waiting on my rear. They're getting put on my RSV4. I'm really glad that they come in a 200/55/17 size. The S21's are a VERY good value right now. That's a big reason why I'm going to try these tires out.

And that is why the British hate the French, because they are generally better people. Last year i got a slow puncture in Enfield town, went past 4 different MOT and tyre places and they all told me to piss off. Luckally i found a petrol station 1 mile down the road where i had to pay 50p for some air.

You should really make a Budget bike battle trip to Greece, spring or autumn,... I guarantee you will have a blast, from the scenery and the wonderful roads with no grip😁. You could be to the sea and to the mountains within an hour drive!! Epic scenery

Somehow I just knew that the R1 would run out of fuel, have to say one of the worst bikes I've owned in regards of fuel but my does it make you feel good and pulls the looks where ever you go, sounds fantastic and at the end of the day puts a big smile on your face, fantastic road bike.
That interaction with George wouldn't have happened if yo still had some fuel so in a way the R1 makes you memories aswell. :)

Great video guys, really enjoyed it but as a small tip for anyone touring, coil a meter of rubber fuel line up and put it under your seat and carry a bottle of water in your back pack that way there's something to drink and a way a getting some fuel out your mates bike (so long as he's not running out as well)
Except for wet nads, these guys seem to be having way too much fun. Very nice.
