Well, I really enjoyed that video and I am glad you like the B500 as much as I do. But one thing is bugging me so here we go .. I know it must be difficult for tourists from the UK, but in Germany we actually only drive on the right side of the road. The fact that the Black Forest is famous for the wet spots in corners and the dangers they pose to riders makes it even more idiotic because you won't be able to safe your bike if it goes. Hitting oncoming traffic is no joke and can really ruin your day. I would rather not like to see the beatiful F4 destroyed in a head on collision... never mind the duc, that thing lookslike it already had two of those ;)
They are both very good riders and probably only ventured onto the otherside of the road when they had a good view ahead!. Btw totally agree with what you saying but only as thats what id do personally,.
The first time I saw a 999 it was at a show, hadn't come out yet and I hadn't heard any buzz about it yet. I thought it was amazing and was genuinely surprised it got so much hate when it dropped. Years later, I still think I like it more than the average person. I like what he said in the video about troy Bayless. It's easy to look at a 999 and see the podium of a standard deff WSBK race :-)
It's definitely aged well hasn't it? If it wasn't preceded by the 998 and followed by the 1098 then it would've stood out as one of the best looking bikes ever built.

I rode this from South to North a few years back on an R1200GS and had so much fun. There's some good side excursions off the 500 that have some nice tight twisties. I follwed a couple of Brits on sport bikes doing absolute mental speeds on some of the side roads. Wicked fun.

My best friend and I have been doing road trips almost every summer from back 1981 on our Kawasaki H2 750s to this up coming summer with our Ninja's ZX14s, guys you'll remember these great days when you get into mid 50s. Live life to the fullest enjoy be safe.
Ive been in triberg, it was with a company 1.0 astra estate car. and the roads there were enjoyable in that thing. triberg has the higest waterfalls in germany. the whole black forest is great to go to!

I road many of the same roads in similar style a couple of months ago on a rented XR. I echo the giggles. The Black Forest has some amazing roads. Another fave on my trip was Austria. Outstanding. Among the funnish things I've done in my life. I was warned about speed enforcement in Switzerland, and so took it far easier there than you guys did. Thankfully.
Good video... might have to have a wander up there as I moved out to Austria 8 years ago and love the roads down here... and there are some outstandingly beautiful roads here... though some of them you would need a parachute if you screwed it up...
