OEM Bose Speaker Upgrade

- I’m trying to stick to oem parts as much as possible for the ease of installation & keeping the cost down.
* Edit: After more time listening to the Bose rear speakers, they are worth the money to upgrade, extra details really help*
The Non-Bose system uses Pioneer brand speakers. They aren’t bad, but I just prefer a more of a surround sound bandwidth.
I didn’t see the need to change the front door to Bose because there are tweeters on the front doors to compensate for the 2.75-inch midrange speaker in the door.
3 1/2 inch speaker will fit in the factory front door mount with a max mount depth of 1.7 inches
For the rear doors, 3 inch speakers seem to be safe with a mount depth of 1.5 inches unless you are comfortable with cutting into the plastic mount.
A full range speaker is preferred for this location since there are no other speakers in the rear for non-Bose systems
Lots of Mazda insights in this vid . Just what I needed . Thank you sir !
🙏🏾
Bose systems are meant mainly to capture the full range of sound, and have great definition, but they aren't very "loud". They do have nice bass though, not muddy at all like on my chevy.
Indeed!
Not all Bose speaker ls are created equal some do sound muddy and some sound amazing
@@IWeasel Bose quality is bad through and through , poor quality parts etc .
How do you remove the hole frame of the dummy speaker mine just come off the plastic cover without the frame
Another helpful video, thanks. Have you looked at the headlights at all? I wonder if it is possible to upgrade the standard lights to the Active LEDs?
I have looked at them & you definitely can. I'm just focused on performance parts mainly as of now
I’m trying to figure out how to bypass the Bose sub and upgrade to a 12JL sub and somehow keep the integration in check
I'm not sure how to do that you, I'll look for the pinout
I just got done doing that. Snip the wire leading to the bose sub and run an loc to your aftermarket amp
hey, I just am recently getting into cars and want to improve my performance on my mazda 3 2.5L manual 2018. Any suggestions or parts to get
Yes, message me on instagram, I send you some recommendations. It's SuperMazda3_
Do I need to upgrade the amp in order to use the Bose speakers? Also are the front speakers the same in the base model and Bose model?
No amp upgrade required the speaker are about the same RMS. The stock speakers are Pioneers. I listed the information in the description
Hi! This video is exactly what I needed because I’m doing the same exact upgrades. I instead bought all the speakers including the new tweeters, front door speakers, rear and center point speaker. I’m pretty confident I know how to install the Rear door speakers and front door speakers thanks to this video but I still wouldn’t know how to connect the center point speaker. Any advice? I wouldn’t know how to wire it through my car to get to the front door speakers to connect. Please help!
You will have to wire it into 1 of the front door speakers. It's honestly not necessary. I left my center speaker open so i could hear better bass
@@supermazda3 I mean since I bought it I might as well try you know. Would it be easy to wire it to one of the front doors? I’m just concerned how Ill know and see where the wire is once it’s inside the center console area. Would I have to disassemble parts to know where the wire is going do you think?
@@northernwinter3236 the Mikstore kit comes with a cable adapter that connects from the front door speaker
@@supermazda3 Yeah I bought it. Just how am I supposed to wire it through the center part into the door? I won’t be able to reach my hand in the center part
how did it end up sounding?
Does the non Bose Mazda have a mounting location for the center point speaker?
It has the mounting location but no speaker in it
yeah I have the select, the rear door speakers are terrible, sounds like speakers from from a cheap portable radio made in the 70's, I dont like the tweeters either, high frequencies give me a headache I always hear that tinny noise have to adjust the eq with all the high frequencies lower
🤣 that description is accurate
The sensitivity is different on Bose because of their impedance however the speakers won’t work properly because all the Bose magic runs in the amp that their system comes with. Without it, it’s not much point and might actually sound worse or less life to it
The bose sounds better because the RMS is almost the same & the frequency range is more broad
Hey do you have a link to the aftermarket speakers?

hi, can i ask where you get the supercharged badge bro
www.ebay.com/itm/332667762548
That plastic shield inside the door also stops water from coming in and rotting the door panel and sending water inside the car
Yes sir
Could you make a video showing all the speakers? Mine is supposed to have 8 (no Bose) but I can’t find the other 2 anywhere, just the 4 speakers on the front doors and the other 2 on the rear doors
You have 2 small tweeter on the door pillers & 2 woofers under the dash in kick board area
good bose speakers, without bose tuning hmm?
@@laptech3767 yes
Well I’m not using headphones and I can definitely tell a difference from the stock to the Bose
Very noticeable
Do you upgrade subwoofer?
No
There is one speaker in the rear deck which I thought was strange.
That is for your safety system, like your reverse
upgrade sub
I don't want to add weight 😅
Only 8 speakers? Mine has 4 😂
What country?
@@supermazda3 Puerto Rico 2022 Base Model
@@eyeri are you positive you don't have the Kick panel speakers?
@@supermazda3 yes, only front and rear doors.
Would you say the new bose speakers sound objectively better?
They are better. The volume of the rear speakers suck when stock. There's not 1 aspect of the original that sounds better IMO unless you like an extremely muffled sound
@@supermazda3 awesome to hear. going to buy!
