Also one of the best tips you gave in your videos for me was the tip about unplugging the IACV on a B series to see if the RPM goes down... then you can raise the idle screw on the throttle body.

Also don't use any brake cleaners on those forever valves it will call corrosion and wear and tear on your valves 😊 though valves are made out of titanium metal titanium do not like the brake cleaner at all
If you made that just needs a tune sticker for a car, I would put that on my 99 DX hatch with a D 16 Y7

The OEM spark plug tube seals don’t fit right on those valve covers also you’re not doing 11mm head studs?

It's definitely an injector issue he has, sounds terrible on idle and low revs but great on WOT, I think you had the same issue back at the old shop on a car.
He's referenced your videos before on a Turbo project before, he's also doing a LS S10 Blazer.
That heater hose fitting on the knock off intake is a bitch! #1, It's super hard to get the heater hose and clamp on cause it's so close to the runner. AND... AND, #2, mine got a slow leak right away. Coming from where it's pressed in the intake. Come to find the press fit fitting gets loose after man handling the hose on. The Skunk2 version is also susceptible to this BS. It's super common, just Google it. What I did was pull that fitting out and use (I think) a 3/4" pipe thread tap through that hole from the opposite side (threads line up the same as tapping from the front.) Went to Orielly's and got a threaded NPT heater hose fitting and screwed that bitch in there w/ some thread sealant. Zero leaks now.
I know you're gonna read this and say 'meh, it'll be OK.' No man, it's gona happen to that one too- just tap it now and save a headache. There's a write up in some Honda forum on the internet on how to do it. This is how I knew how to do it. Just trying to save u a headache! Have a nice weekend.

When you guys are doing a single cam build like this, would you reuse the oil pump from the old motor? I tore down my z6 and ordered almost all the parts, but not sure what oil pump to use.
If motor was good when you tore it apart you’ll be ok imo or get a new one if you want

Just be careful with that knock off manifold sometimes they're metal on the inside take a quick look you might have to polish it first

I recent installed one of those skunk rep manifolds and had a bunch of tiny issues with it. The coolant outlet near the vtec solenoid, the pipe actually came out of the manifold. Also the plane of the manifold where the nuts touch to tighten it wasn’t flat nor did it have enough room for the stock flanged nut to fit. The injector seat was blocking it lol. And a few holes that were tapped with threads actually went fully to the inside so if they’re not plugged it’ll have a nasty vacuum leak. I thought it was gonna be a decent manifold lol after I took it off I actually looked inside and the casting is really bad 😂😂😂. But man I can’t wait to see what these make. Lol what cam is going in Trevor’s?
Yeah casting wise, it’s in pretty good shape.
Coolant fitting is getting jb welded in, and any other issue I’ll address down the road. Don’t for see many but we will see. And stock cam for now.
Swapping a cam takes 30 min lol so rather get it goin first.
