  • We've put this quick video together on using our new Nighthawk controller and it's extended features.
This video covers exporting jobs from Easel and loading files onto the Nighthawk controller.
We take a quick look at our CNC3D Commander and it's extended features and using the WebUI interface of the Nighthawk.
We also take a sneak peak at our Nighthawk PRO machine and watch it beautifully machine some 12.5mm HDPE.
For those who don't know, our CNC3D Commander software also supports the popular xPRO V5 CNC controller and more than likely will work with any other variation of ESP32 controller on the market.

like the video, can i ask if using the mobile to run a job or PC via wifi does that mean you cant then use the fone or computer for anything else whilst the job is ongoing

how does this compare with AXBB-E controller?

The architecture is different. The Nighthawk has better connectivity options such as wifi and bluetooth with an onboard web interface.
The AXBB-E does support more functionality such as ATC and G68 rotation.
We are working on a future release of the Nighthawk controllers with an ATC system built in but G68 will always be a challenge to add where processing needs to be done on the controller itself rather than the PC running the sender software.
Their are pros and cons to both controllers making it a difficult comparison.
      I hope this helps. :)

@@cnc3d is their support for rigid tapping.

@@Z-add Technically any CNC can do this provided that the spindle supports it. Most cases the RPM is simply too high and too rigid. A smarter option for tapping is to use a thread mill. We can confirm the Nighthawk works perfectly for this as we use the actual machine to tap the 100mm slots on the beds of our Metal Storm machines.
      I hope this helps!
