there is actually a real answer to how they get recordings of babies crying. there are people whose job is to handle baby actors - mostly they engage them so they smile, laugh, or sit quietly for tv - but when crying is called for, they start making baby crying noises themselves. even the youngest babies are empathetic, and they're usually like, "oh, we're upset now? i'll cry too"
It's also not the end of the world for a baby to cry for five seconds on a recording. Babies cry all the time, it's pretty much what they're known for!

About the situation: “Mary” and Marcelo got married at the end of last year, and the whole reason on why they got married was to actually gain attention from brazilian media so she and her boyfriend (yes, her actual real living boyfriend) could get enough money to buy their own house. giving brazil’s economic state and everything here basically costing an arm and a leg nowadays, she was kind of a genius with this idea and i don’t judge her at all
Edit: okay so i actually went to her tik tok account out of curiosity and in her own bio it says that its all staged, in addition to the comment saying that buying her house is a “dream she is looking for”. reading some of the descriptions on the videos posted about the repercussions it had, she says that they unfortunately didn’t made any money out of it yet, but she’s happy anyway because she managed to make people happy and have some good laughs with her story

The red bag and yellow “tube” is supposed to be the placenta (organ grown to nourish the baby during pregnancy), and the umbilical cord. They are delivered separately, but in the video, they had the baby stuffed inside the placenta

I think it’s supposed to be like when cats give birth, and there’s the amniotic birthing sac around the newborn kitten. Sometimes, human babies have bits of their amniotic sacs left, called caul birth.
@@gracelemmon7808 it’s possible, but no “placenta” came out after the baby’s birth. Even if the baby was “en caul,” a placenta would still come out afterwards. Plus placentas are red while the amniotic sac is completely clear, so I’m assuming it’s the placenta lol.
It's the amniotic sac. Sometimes baby's can come out still inside. It's rare though.

Kurtis, no hard feelings since most people don't know much about Ragdolls, but Ragdolls are generally fully capable of speech, Marcelo just happens to be mute. It doesn't appear to be genetic since his little one had some strong lungs :)
Oh definitely. My sister had a friend who had some ragdoll heretage. She came over to our house a while back and she was just the nicest. Ragdoll lungs tend to be very delicate and need a lot care, especially as they get older.
I'm currently getting a DNA test because I think I might have some plush/teddy heretage (I was adopted) and I'm starting to understand the kind of discrimination toyfolk face. And I really don't appreciate ragdolls being labelled as "lazy". They have lower energy reserves and they can't help that. And fictionalised ""non-fiction"" films like Child's Play only heighten the stereotypes. Such a shame.

That lady's brazilian and from what I could find: before the pandemic she used to make money dancing and during lockdown she started streaming herself dancing with the doll and I guess it escalated from there.
