I love how the dad stares him down while he's eating and says "MOAR SAUCE"
I love how he wants his son to get the perfect bite!
@@bmcagent It's a chef response, rather than a father response. The food was made with certain taste in mind and to get that taste all the variables need to be close to perfect. You can see this a lot in high-end restaurants, food is made with a correct way to eat and the servers will tell you the exact way to eat it in order to maximize the taste -- the chef's vision of the taste, at least. I think it's a habit chefs pick up when they're really deep and finally understand that they're truly good at what they do and there's nothing wrong with that. It's their dish, they've spent a lot of time and effort to be able to create such a dish and I think that deserves the respect of eating it how it was made to be eaten.

The laid back fun vibes between father and son. The good cuisine. The informational content. The lofi music in the background. This channel is quickly becoming an obsession of mine.
Think the son uses him to promote his laziness.
@@DensilGrantyou are the type of person that would win the lottery and complain about paying tax on the interest….. go away….
I genuinely love your Dad! He is the Michealangelo of the kitchen. I love that dish he made. Please put that on the menu at your restaurant, Susur.
I do too, he is such a great Dad and the ultimate Iron Chef! I'm just always afraid something will be moving inside the mystery container.🥺💔
P.S. This is off-topic & may seem strange bc you may have no idea the answer, but it happened on this video, so i figured I would ask you if you happen to know the answer.
Do u have any idea why with some videos I am able to comment on, and with others, the only option is to reply to another comment? Does that happen to you, too? A lot of videos I will have to click inside the comments, and then the only option is to reply to another commenter, but with most videos, I am able to make my own stand-alone comment. (Whether I am subscribed or not, it happens on both.)
I know this is a random question, but I figured I would take a chance that u may know the answer.🙏
I hope I am explaining clearly what I am attempting to convey.😊✌️
@@rf3811 Sorry, I have not had that experience and can't tell you the answer unfortunately.
@@armchairguru1921 Tysm for responding!! 💗
Uh maybe don't share your love interest on yt just a suggestion
I was joking if you couldn't tell no but seriously his dad is just a god in the kitchen
@@rf3811that happens to me on random occasions. Or it says reply to comment, but it doesn't show the replies
“your face” had me rolling on the ground 😂
Same. so unexpected
No hesitation
Damn, dad is savage with the comebacks. Love the bond that both of you have. Subscribed for more.
Whatever financial benefits you get as a content creator are nothing compared to how much you will value this time spent with your dad one day when you’re old. Great work and continued success.
I love how the Dad is all serious and then breaks a smile once the son says its amazing. I love that he cares that his son approves of his food despite him being an established chef!
Haha well its like any celebrity, right? They may be gods to the world, but half the time their own kids are meh about it. xD So I imagine it must be similar.
I always look forward to seeing new videos. Your dad always explains how clean he eats. I would love to see what your dad eats in day or a few days ranging of meals he eats himself!
Yessss I would love to know more about his regular diet!!
I'm actually getting interested in cooking lately, Susur is an amazing chef and I love watching him cook, he is a very funny guy and an amazing dad to his family. Love you Jet, Kai, Susur, Levi, Brenda, you guys are amazing, Thankyou? 🥰🥰
Are you friends with his family?
Your dad has an amazing sense of humor😊
Chef really knows his mangoes. Carabao mangoes from the Philippines, most notably those from Guimaras Island are in the Guinness book of world records for being the sweetest mango in the world and they are also the kind served in the White House. As my grandmother was from that island, I have been spoiled on it since I was a child, thanks for the appreciation, chef!
It's turning to be more and more lovely to watch each longer video. There is something different when watch people who are passionate about making astonishing food, not just making it for the show.
I'm so fucking jealous man.. I've always wanted to eat his food. It's also super surreal to me because I was a kid watching him on Iron Chef and now he's just a simple dad on UA-cam doing cooking stuff. Its awesome and I love it
I'm stupid. what is his name, the dad?
Susur Lee@@cityraintunes
absolute perfection, can't wait for more of this series..
Jet one day you'll be so happy you did this with your dad love and peace to you both❤
I love these videos because its just some nice father/son bonding and your dad is amazing at cooking with a great sense of humour that just makes these videos so entertaining. You never expect what he is going to make but it looks good!
I love this series! Seriously considering trying this dish out. Thank you Dad for being the dad of many here. I love the chemistry and sincere love you have with your Sons.
love it when you upload full length videos! looking forward to this series :)
I’m getting mystery ingredient series vibes and I love every bit of it! We need more!!! Thank you Chef!
There was a cooking show on BBC called ready steady cook. People would bring random things and the chefs would have to come up with a meal. Loved that show. This reminds me of that. Love your dad's ideas he's so sweet as well
Ready steady cook was fantastic lol
@@jonathanemery1728 loved watching it after school and seeing the crazy stuff they could think up.
The ending was so genuine, I loved that interaction. Fantastic video, I can't wait to see more!
Love the content and this dish looks great!
Love him! Keep 'em comin.
I adore this series! I would also love to see “a day in the life” primarily at meal times to see him cook for himself and his family.
Please keep up with this series, I’m sure it’s gonna be a hit :)
Already love the concept! Liked instantly! 👍🏼
Yes more of this episodes plz that was awesome
This was awesome! I'd love to see a lot more of these!
I've always loved your Dad, and I'm so glad to see Y'all on UA-cam! We love Y'all ❤️ here in Eugene Oregon!
Wow! That sauce looks delicious! I love the balance of the entire dish with the chilis too! Thanks for the technique lesson too chef. I’ll have to try deboning wings like that. I’m imagining all kinds of stuffings.
"Your face." 😂
I love you and your dad's relationship! And I absolutely love watching him cook❤❤
what an amazing guy. and you play off each other so well. love this channel
Always incredible thanks for creating you 2!
UA-cam recommended this to me and i love it. Been watching the whole playlist 😊

Do not know how anyone could watch this and not love it you two are like Ying and yang you play off each other so wonderfully 💖
I love the dad, so cool and knowledgeable
Every episode of Iron Chef or your channel, your Dad always has some absolute gold when he speaks 🤣❤️
Great idea for a series, ofc ya old man is one of the kings of mystery ingredient challenges. Wish you all the success on youtube! :)
i love the videos so much you guys make a great duo
It's crazy that he's such a cool dad and speaks English well enough and suddenly he mutters in Canto and I was SHOCKED. Definitely felt the Hong Kong vibes come out in this video!
Keep these videos coming your pops is the bomb.
“If you could change anything, what would it be?”
“Your face”

I love this channel, can't get enough.
Always enjoy watching your videos , makes me wanna start learning how to cook 🍳.
I love watching this man cook.
His reaction says it all 😍
This is one of the best channels on youtube. This was one of the best videos on the channel.
Favorite dad on youtube - we are all better off being able to witness him cooking!
Hilarious! Laughed out loud when Dad said "poor chicken... he can't even stand up" on its deboned wings!!! Never been privileged to see a chicken stand on its wings. Used to work p/t on a chicken farm as a kid, but we didn't have any acrobatic chickens! I love it!🤣
I would definitely try that, good job!
I came here for the food. But I am staying for that wholesome dad-son energy.
Susur is a creative cooking legend 🙌 I love watching him show his amazing skills 👏 😍
I want that right now! very good ideas, congrats and Chapeau!
YES! do this every week!!
He’s just such an incredible dad. Very lucky kid!
I just happened across your videos the other day and I'm hooked.
I'm gonna try to debone some chicken wings now
I feel his passion with cooking. Wish he was in the States teaching cook classes or a cookbook❤
Best thing I’ve seen all month. Amazing thing to do with your dad.
Making me hungry 🤤 Your dad’s a national treasure 🥹
that looks so good
Please make this into a series of videos!
Can't get enough!
Again I love that he explains the why and teaches techniques
Love when he says “Children” to the camera 😂 always feel the love lol
Fui yoh!! I need to make that now...thank you guys for this!
can we all agree that this is the best dad on UA-cam hands down.
Honestly insane that he was able to combine chicken peanut and mango so well
Actually it really isn't. Now, don't get me wrong, Chef Susur is an amazing cook, but this combo is a match made in heaven and it's actually a bit more common and reasonable than you think. Mango and chicken is a very normal combination in some parts of the world, and in Asian cuisine things like chicken satay and other dishes incorporate peanuts with chicken. Then mango and peanuts is also a frequent combo if you look up recipes, so it stands to reason all of these ingredients go together.
@@zembl4698 sure pairwise they might make sense, but all three can be a different story (ie. Incompatible Food Triad)
@@darkstudios001This is not the case with that, really. All ingredients pair really well with eachother. I know what you are talking about, but it's genuinely not the case with mango, peanuts and chicken. I have a culinary degree, I hate saying this, but just trust me on this one and try it out.
@@zembl4698 ya I believe you! Just thought it was worth mentioning! Thanks for your insight:)
Thai Mango Chicken with nuts is my fav
Great series idea!
Aw man, I would kill to see Susars' Tailoring. I feel like you would see some wild combos, like faux satin made out of titanium.
i wish this channel had more videos. cant wait for the discography to grow.
I love you’ll 2!!!!! I need to learn to cook and I can say that I’m picking up a few tips
I love your dad, he is funny😂
You got a pretty cool dad. Watched him so much, still the best iron chef in my opinion. The old Iron Chef not the USA newer one.
That looked amazing 😋
We definitely need some "Stir, Stir, Stir" merch!!! Love the creativity!!!
That looked AMAZZZZZING aesthetically and taste wise and I agree with your dad, you should’ve eaten more sauce with the wings lol
I wish he would've done more with the mango, but i could tell it still really worked. Cant wait for more!
Their father-son relationship makes me green with envy. I want to be like this with my kids when they grow up.
Omg seeing that stuffed chicken reminded me of the stuffed chicken that my mum made on special occasions! Basically same ingredients as Vietnamese spring rolls (so pork mince, glass noodles, mushrooms, carrots) inside the chicken. Absolutely delicious and it's been sooooo long since I had it
Bro your dad is awesome he was in the best era of food network
as soon as I saw the mango I started thinking wings would work, damn I’m good! more vids like this!!
This Iron Chef is an absolute beast when it comes to preparing a meal. I really want to try that crab dish he made. That looked Killa!
I have boned and stuffed wings many times, I love to use pork and prawns with wood ear mushrooms and some glass noodles, lots of Asian seasonings. Roast really hot. They are the BOMB.
Looking forward to new mystery ingredient episodes!
