Looks like Corvo's learnt to blink the way Daud did

In some trailer i saw a blink without stopping the time, but rather slowing it down. Maybe its an upgrade (normal blink>slow time>stop time)
that is the case like in the previose one the upgrade increased range but now it stops time

So many cool ways to fight and kill people and yet I'll probably play the whole game without killing or alerting anyone...
It's not as exciting but seeing the mission report say "0 deaths, 0 bodies found" is very satisfying
I find it difficult for stealth-
I say that but I chose to play as Emily for the one for everybody move. . . That made no sense HAHAHAHA
I think the game is a lot more challenging that way. I find killing all enemies made the game a bit too easy.

A lot of these could be replaced with nonlethal methods although probably a bit more difficult than just killing
Emily's "Domino" is just obscene. Link a few enemies together and one tranquilizer dart equals mass narcolepsy. I'm going to abuse the living shit out of that.
Finally, one of few people who are looking forward to use Domino. Most comments about Domino nowadays are basically ''OMG, Domino is so OP!'' or ''What the fuck was Arkane thinking with Domino?'' or whatever.
It does seem OP, but it looks like they've balanced it out between Emily and Corvo with potential upgrades to powers. I like the fact that Emily seems perfectly suited to all-out chaos or never being seen at ALL. The Mesmerize power seems damn near perfect for a low chaos playthrough.
Would using this mean an exploit to a low chais ending? Cause that's not exactly killing them. Just a KO.
Hamzah Khwaja Domino can be used for both lethal and non-lethal. If you wanna knock out a group of three guards or so easily, you could do that
I feel like Mesmerize, Domino, and Shadow Walk kind of make it too easy.
Especially Shadow Walk...I mean, it's a stealth game; why have the convenient power of basic invisibility? But then again, I haven't actually tried it out so lol
Corvo: Perfect for Low Chaos

Both characters are perfect for both playstyles.

The first playthrough will be as Emily for me, but then I'll head through as Corvo. I'm so glad they upgraded his Blink to the version Daud has. It was so useful. And I'm glad possession is upgraded. Might be worthy of getting for a stealth playthrough now
Yeah, I hardly ever used possession in Dishonored 1. Then again I almost always played lethally.
emily still kinda looks better for stealth imo
But Daud's Time stop blink made the game 2x easier : / It just seems so op...

Im happy whith 2 characters it adds a replay factor + with high/low chaos thats easily 4 playthroughs
now add no powers>8, no parkour

I put a hundred hours into the first game. I really, really hope that the sequel has the same replayability. With two different characters with entirely different powers, it should give me a ton of hours.

I like that 'quality of life' change to corvo's blink ability. Can't wait to plays this.
khai minh tran it could also be seen as an improvement based on Corvo's gained experience, as Daud had his powers much longer than Corvo in the first game, it makes sense it could simply be the aged and experienced version of Blink
Just played through Dishonoured 1 recently and realised this is the Lv 3 form of blink, upgraded only by time, not runes.

That linking power still bothers me, seems to make the game way too easy! i want to play as Emily first, but i'm quite sure i'm gonna get to the selection screen and instinctively choose Corvo instead.
To me Emily's powers seem so unnecessary. Probably not gonna use half of them.
For every single link on each enemy takes a little more than using bend time once.

Far reach seems more useful than blink and domino is even more op then bend time. Shadow walk is also insane.
Domino is not that effective in combat though, because you don't get the time to link ppl while they're attacking you. Bend time was always op, but these games are not aimed at being fair.

I love the way that Daud had his time stop on his blink in the dlc due to him already being given the mark for awhile, and now Corvo has developed it as well.
i felt like emily was just killing almost everyone while corvo was a bit more discreet

Tony Cruez well you can't really blame her. I mean a lot of the people she believed she could trust double crossed her. I'm sure if we were in her shoes, we'd want them all dead too lol. I love this game though, it's amazing!
This game has improved from the first: jumping from host to host using possession, being able to take actions in a host's body, Corvo freezing time while using blink, man the game is improving so much. :D
I love how the trailers are always like "Look at all the fun ways to kill people 8D" and the game is always like "You MURDERED THESE PEOPLE, YOU BASTARD!"

Kai Mango no it's not like this anymore you can kill some people and still have the good ending (in the first game you can kill only the targets and get the good ending too)
I wasn't refering about the ending. In the first game, killing specific people (like the targets) changes the way people behave around you, changes some of the things they say, some of the diary entries and speeches. It is of course more apparent, if you're losing Low Chaos, but in quite a few cases, killing results in the game more or less being like "WOW DUDE, NOT COOL" (such as not helping the uncle, attacking Slackjaw's Weepers, etc).
Did you know that if you manage to escape the prison without killing someone, that the speech will say something along the lines of that you "disappeared" while killing at least on guard will call you out on how you brutally made you way out of prison?
Stuff like that.

Emily's powers seem more fun and Corvo seems more practical if that makes sense. Seems like the team did a good job balancing and complementing them while making them their own. I will definitely be playing as both, multiple times.
It does make sense. I'll play the story atleast 6 times (low/high chaos on emily and corvo and emily without powers)

Bąđ3ŕ zZ Corvo seems more practical though, thats how I see it, I don't need to take out whole rooms off people, with Corvo you can stop time and do whatever you want, or possess people to be sneaky, you could also mass murder everyone, Emily can summon a duplicate of herself and use domino o take a few people out at once

Both characters can be played stealthily or violently. It's fucking dumb to say that Emily is only viable for violent gameplay and at the same time say Corvo is more viable for stealth gameplay
Krisars I didn't say that, I said Emily is more suited for taking out a bunch of people at one time, which she is, and Corvo is more suited to avoiding the enemy altogether, which he is, sure Emily could go without ever touching an enemy but that isn't what her powers cater towards, you seem to have the idea that both of them are suited for whatever play style you would like and the only difference is their gender, you're wrong
People saying Emily is OP Just because Emily's powers are new doesn't mean they're op
well its because corvos moves are more for using your brain while emily is more like, domino everyone and theyre dead, doppleganger kills people for you, mesmerise allows you to kill people and they wont do anything about it and far reach can pull people in for the kill while
corvo has like one killing move which is whirlwind and blink seems like it only pushes people
PlasmaFrog I agree apart from the rat swarm all other abilities are more of a tactical advantage then straight on kill
All of Corvo's and Emily's powers can be used to kill everyone. They both require using strategy to be used at their fullest potential

PlasmaFrog Yeah, it also gave me like 3 themes with motion for the ps4, is awesome, was a cool surprise because i didnt notice it before, the first game plays really smoothly and is a lot of fun.

With all these tools at the player's disposal, I sure hope the difficulty of the game can keep up and make it a challenge.
I love how the story looks to at least somewhat involve Daud or his actions and it really involves Delila. It's cool to see that Dishonored 1's dlc's weren't just throw away content and instead it lead to another game.
I love how they kept the noises the void makes when you use a power with corvo "soom" (blink)
I won't be killing anyone, no one will ever even see me. This will be ghost run as well : D DD

Yes. In that I only used Blink, the Vision thing and Bend Time. The rest are so unnecessary.
They're still nice to have. Tbh I also did a playthrough with the only powers being used was blink, never dared to do one without any. Seems like fun though.
Yeah I'm the same except I did use possession to get Lady Boyle downstairs at the party.
+Edward Tigersoul I also didn't use a lot on my first two playthroughs. But go see Volound or other youtubers who create a new art with how well they use all powers. And when I tried emulating them I was convinced all powers were carefully considered and not just there for filler. They even stuck a spring razor on a severed arm and threw it at two other guards using wind blast. That's how creative they get.

People here brought up something I was worried about after watching all these trailers. How will mana works in this new game? Will the mana consumption be smaller? I wish we could pull up these powers a little often without having to worry about the mana cost of it.

It seems harder for Emily to be stealthy because her "blink" is a pull so everyone can see her do this while Corvo's is a teleport.
And? I played through Dishonored with no powers, clean hands and ghost and it was still awesome. Strip 'em down to their mortal abilities and they're all equal ;)
I think the fact that you can play as two characters makes me wanna play through the game at least 4 times, it'll probably be at least 10 times on reality though

Still undoubtedly the greatest game I’ve ever played. Assassin’s Creed can’t compare. Everything Thief did, Dishonored does better. It’s the most visually appealing game I’ve ever seen, but that’s just personal lol. What an experience.

So I haven't been keeping much track of Dishonored II. I'm just ready for it to be released.
So Is Corvo gaining any new powers?
Same powers as last time with more upgrades this time around.
I think it's upgrades for old ones, so Blink with freeze time, longer possession, etc.
And there's more upgrade paths for the existing ones.
Corvo's Blink ability can be upgraded to Daud's (the one that stops time when idle).
Your possession ability can be upgraded to jump from one character to another. Other than that I think only passive abilities changed, but they are not shown in the video, when they are on the game at all. Also I think Devouring Swarm is no longer available with the end of the rat plague.
I think Corvo should be able to summon Bloodflies.
Blake Actually, there's a Shadow Kill upgrade where if you kill enemies, not only they turn to ash, but bloodflies comes out as well.
Devouring Swarm is still there, of course.
I hope corvos double jump returns. I loved it (but I loved dauds better because in had a smoother transition from jump 1 to jump 2)
