My uni entrance exams start in 2 days and about 3 weeks ago, I finally read Radio Silence! I'm really so glad that I did. The day I started it, I was in a murky place mentally and this book felt like laying down on a mossy riverbank with my hand in the water while the sky shifts from blue to purple and the stars start coming out. And by that, I mean it was extremely comforting. I learned more about myself than I thought I would from reading it, and it's really just been such a blessing!
And if you like Sadie... you should read A Good Girl's Guide to Murder (by Holly Jackson). Seriously, I just finished it and it's one of the best murder mysteries I have EVER read, and I'm a huge mystery fan in general.
So amazing to hear you rec Courtney Summers, and especially Cracked Up to Be! It’s one of my favourite books of all time and I never hear it talked about in the book community.
You described my feelings on The Raven Cycle perfectly! I’ve been obsessed w the series since I was fourteen, I just can’t seem to ever let it go. Anyways, I value your opinions on books immensely so I will be putting the books mentioned in this vid on hold at my library ASAP😌✌️
I’m so happy you mentioned Angelfall 😞For a long time I felt like nobody read it when I did but I just wasn’t on the book side of anything and it’s always nice to be reminded that there were others who enjoyed it too 💕

I feel the same way about the raven cycle and all you said about being a kid who liked spiderwick chronicles and even tho i just read the raven boy with 21 years old it still rocked my world and made me totally and completely forget the real world. I do love magic, and trees, and fat aesthetic notebooks that guide an adventure, and dreamers and tarot cards!!!
I was in a Young Adult Literature class last semester. It was so interesting! I'm an English Education Major, so we discussed how to use YA books in the high school classroom.
I read Radio Silence based on your recommendation a while ago and it was one of the best book purchases I've ever made! It was and is such a good book for me and it really helped me and made me feel comforted when I read it. It made me feel a whole lot less alone. I have to say, it didn't quite resonate with me the way Starfish or Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman did, (I'm an artist and I lost my mother when I was young so those two really struck a cord with me) but it put me on to more of Alice Oseman's work! She's a great author and I highly recommend Radio Silence, too!
So when are we seeing the reaction of your class/prof to your being an actual booktuber and having 250K Subs? Honestly just tell us what they said I want to live vicariously thank you

OH MY GOD, I am obsessed with your inclusion of “Skim”!!! It’s legitimately my favourite graphic novel; it was the first one I ever read - it was a present from my dad years ago when I was an angsty little teen, and it remains one of my comfort reads. I can relate to Kim so much, and the topics of queer attraction, mental health and magic are very close to my heart.

2:35 YES! Radio Silence waltzed into my life at such a weirdly fitting moment. It was the night before my first day of college and I stayed up late, starting and finishing Radio Silence, a book about teens considering paths other than college.
I read trc for the first time in my twenties and I'd say that, for all its flaws, the series has something truly magical (no pun intended) about it. It's one of the few series where I can see totally valid criticisms that I have absolutely no rebuttals against but they don't hinder my enjoyment at all. Like my response to the trk ending is unironically "go anticlimactic queen, give us nothing!"
I started to read books this pandemic. I saw this video and finished Radio Silence in less than a month. The story give me chills specially the last part. Thank you for sharing this videoo!!
