Thank you for making this, it is very helpful. I was wondering if the counter that it is sitting on gets hot due to the bottom heater element?
I normally start cooking the chicken breast side down then flip it over. This helps it crisp up underneath and also the fat can run through the breast to keep it moist
Thank you that's a really great idea 💡 iv tried it and you was righ was alot more juicy
Trying this method right now stuffed mine with garlic and butter and seasoned then poked few holes in chicken
@@moniquewrightmoniquesbeaut9014 sounds like a great idea 💡 il be trying this
hi
can I ask you how do you clean the lit? In the book it says that you use the steam function for 30 min and you just wipe it. However, the grill on the lit prevents you from wiping the interior of the lit. please share with us your method of cleaning
Yes seconded
Great recipie, thank you! Followed it but with a few modifications. Stuffed the chicken with three fresh halved lemons and a bulb of peeled garlic. Placed chicken in upside-down for 25mins, then the right way up for another 25mins. Temperature tests were 100°c at 50mins. Best Roast Chicken EVER...delicious, succulent, moist and tender! The gravy was good, but I need to work on it a bit! So, MANY THANKS!
Thank you for your tips and trick, I am a chicken lover, will try your recipe soon.
Looks great. I'm thinking about buying one of those.
Aw you must, we are really enjoying cooking and baking in it . It's made meal time so much easier and faster 😌
That chicken looked great. My invitation to dinner must of got lost in the post.😂😂
Cadera - Thank you for the video! I'm super excited to try this!! :) Quick question: Is your Speedi set to 185 degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit? I'm assuming it is Celsius, which would equate to roughly 365 degrees Fahrenheit.
Yes it's Celsius
Yes celsius
We are based in the UK so they set it at celsius
Looks so delicious can't wait to try this. Thankyou vicky
My pleasure 😊
I love mine so much. Can't wait to use it again.
I know. I couldn't be without mine now.
Just wondering...was there a specific reason you did not use the rack?I also noticed your speedi does NOT have PROOF on the rapid cooker side and DOES have GRILL on the air fry side.I wish mine were like that!I would ABSOLUTELY trade proof for grill!Anyways...thanks from Wisconsin USA!
Hi, I am definately gonna try this method. We have been air frying ours and this does look much more juicy. I was wondering if I could ask how long it took for the cooking to actually start please. I tried an omelette this week on 165 and it took about 20 mins to start cooking and then almost boiled dry. Luckily I caught it. Loving this unit though. Makes cooking so much easier. :)
wao
mine was fully cooked in 30 min but i put mine on the rack in the top setting
Can you put hot water instead of cold ?
So the temperatures you are mentioning are Fahrenheit?
Celsius
I really liked this demo, but think the pin feathers should have been removed......
you need to put tray in and then chicken
Thank you for the comment, I find you don't have to use the crisp tray when cooking a whole chicken you can use the tub like a roasting tray when using a conventional oven when you cook a whole chicken . The tub is just a glorified oven tray. I have to cook a extra large chicken to feed the family and find doing it this way allows me to cook it this way for a larger bird. but I guess if its a smaller chicken you can 100 percent cook it on the tray .
@@CaderasKitchen One way you do so its not sitting in the water and chicken grease.
@@JBCool0729 personally the chicken sitting in the water isn't a problem to me as the machine setting I used is steam airfry so the water evaporation pretty fast and there is not much water left at all at the end of the cooking which is only 55mins and we've cooked chicken in ovens for years sitting in its own fat. And abit of chicken fat isn't so bad. But again thank for the comment the cooking tray is all personal preference
@@CaderasKitchen Fine. You have a right to cook any way you want but this is just my opinion.
its just broiling rather than roasting. some people like this but it wont crisp. Just changes colour@@JBCool0729
