So wonderful to see someone so young as you who is so enthralled by the Beatles as I am at 74 years old and who was 17 in March of 1964 when the Beatles had just been known here in the States. I NEVER got over my case of "Beatlemania" and never well. I too can't wait for this "GET BACK" film from Peter Jackson! ROCK ON young man!!
@@globalmonkey007 I know, I was saying that I was 17 in March of 1964 and should have put a comma between that and "when the Beatles had just been known here in the States. I wasn't inferring that March was when they were first on Sullivan. Believe me February 9, 1964 has been permanently burned into my brain since that night! lol!
As I said on another site: I teared up watching the trailer, sad that there is ONLY 56 hours to choose from. I can’t get enough. Been there since hearing I Want to Hold Your Hand, before we knew who they were, in 1964.
My favorite Beatles song changes almost daily, depending on the mood. I hate to sound a bit cliche but the one that resonates most, is Blackbird. It was not number one, until I saw Grahm Nash perform the song as a duet acapella. Chills.
We were teaching the 5/6 class the other day about social injustice reading a text about Martin Luther King and I brought up this song, (teaching about how to make connections whilst you read}, as a song written by Paul to bring attention to how African American women were treated. They were blown away.
Great reaction and I am beyond excited for this. In My Life is my favorite Beatles track, but Let It Be and Across The Universe are in my top 5 as well.
Hey Cinematic Gamer! Just wanted to let you know, we really enjoyed your trailer reaction a lot! We are hoping you’ll also do a new commentary video on the full Get Back documentary. Cheers to you from a fellow Beatles Maniac! :D
Favorite Beatles songs 🎵 Here Comes the Sun Glass Onion I'll be Back Oh Darling Dear Prudence Hello Goodbye Eight Days a Week Hey Jude Revolution Strawberry 🍓 Fields Forever Come Together The entire Hard Days Night album The entire Rubber Soul album The entire Help album I could continue but I won't 😆🤣😂
Favorite Beatle song you asked at the end of the video?: She Said, She Said. ("Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey" and about thirty-eight other songs are tied for first, but those two songs I routinely cite. "Getting Better", "You Never Give Me Your Money" are the next titles that usually follow....but I'm almost guilt-ridden picking anything less that, like, twenty songs tied for number one!!!! :P)
Young man I am 72 years old and I was fourteen when the Beatles hit the scene. They were a huge part of my teenage years. Their music got me through my military years. Especially when I was in Vietnam. It was at that time that the mystery of 'is Paul dead' started. They were extremely Diversified. They produce songs likes 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' to 'Why Don't we do it in the Road'. Like yourself I have a granddaughter that loves the Beatles.....
I basically grew up on the Beatles' music, thanks to having two older sisters who were - and still are - Beatles fans. Happy to say it rubbed off on me. ^_^ One of my earliest memories is watching the Ed Sullivan Show and seeing the promo film for "Revolution". I rediscovered them in my teens and started assembling a collection of books and recordings. I've got so many favorite Beatles songs; if I had to pick just one... it'd have to be "Hey Jude". It's good for grounding... "Take a sad song and make it better." I'm so excited to see "The Beatles: Get Back", especially after seeing the trailer. I've lost track of how many times I've watched it (including the UA-cam reactions I've watched), but every time I do, my face aches from smiling out of the pure joy of seeing these four guys interacting. And it's mind blowing to see songs I know and love so well being composed; more so for when George was writing "Something" [another of my favorites] because using place holder lyrics is a genuinely good idea. (Example: "The movement you need is on your shoulder" from "Hey Jude" was originally a place holder Paul wrote, but John encouraged him to keep that phrase in the finished song.) Long story short, this is going to be an amazing documentary.
Hope you got a chance to watch that wonderful documentary! Just to make you feel like an underachiever, none of the band members was older than 29 when they recorded "Let It Be." George was 25. Yet they were already music industry veterans.
Wow, I can’t pick just one, but I’m definitely a huge John fan, so most of my standouts are songs that started in John’s head. Depending on which day you ask, I might say Please Please Me, or I Feel Fine, or Rain, or Tomorrow Never Knows, or Dear Prudence, or Don’t Let Me Down…
A favorite Beatles song is impossible but near the top of my list most of the time: Hey Jude, Strawberry Fields, Day in the Life, Let it Be, I Want to Hold Your Hand..,,,
I can't wait for this. I've watched the trailer over 50 times. My favorite Beatles song from Let It Be is Let It Be, though I love Don't Let Me Down, Get Back, and Two Of Us as well. There are about 150 other songs I love from prior albums and singles. Here Comes The Sun, Something, and Come Together are my favorites from Abbey Road, as well be as the Long One aka The Medley on side two.
My brother......I am as excited as you. Same exact reaction. Goosebumps....and stunned silence! And also I just want you to know, you are exactly the same as a fan from any other time period, you would have fit right in, any year, you are exactly the same as my Dad who stole a car so he could go see them at Forest Hills, or my aunt who screamed at Shea Stadium, or me who has been Beatle-obsessed since I was a tot, before I even have memory, you're part of this continuum that just never ends, and it all sprouts from the simplest thing: how great the sound of their music is. (The fact that they also happened to be four super entertaining, charismatic dudes who you'd be happy watching them read the phone book is just a bonus!) I can't wait, and I'm as excited for you as for me. I'm excited for all of us! :D Thanks for sharing this very special reaction with us, my brother!

50 years ago and the music still sounds like it was written yesterday. How is that even possible!? My favorite Beatles song? All of them! And BTW Is that a vinyl record? I didn't know you millenials knew what they were!😁😁
Yes that is my copy of Let It Be on vinyl (I collected there entire discography and now working my way to collecting the U.S. albums), I’m guessing you weren’t aware that lately Vinyl has started to become more popular even in the age of music streaming services like Spotify.
I’ve seen the bootleg of this film before Peter Jackson got his hands on the material and have always been used to it being called Let It Be. I’m a little bit nervous that there will be too much matching footage to parts of songs where they are not playing apart that matches that part of the song. But the quality of the picture and the historic archive I’ve seen them work together it’s fascinating. Are used to work with George Martin And have often been round to his house with Giles who was at the time not interested in becoming an engineer. This was the time when I was a teen pop at Air studios in Oxford Circus circus.
