@@user-hn9qg5qm3oBest to have you vitamin d levels measured through a blood test. A rough estimate assuming your healthy and can absorb it easily is about 35 iu per pound so for a 185lb about roughly 6000 iu per day. I'm personally about 150lb so I take 5000 iu per day, plus 200 MG magnesium, and 100 mcg of K2. Or like what Dr Berg said your entire weekly amount at once but once a week instead of the same amount overall but spread out daily could work better. Google or research 35 iu vitamin d per pound on your own and decide.

Vitamin D is a group of fat- soluble prohormones made up of 5 different vitamins : vitamin D1, D2, D3, D4 and D5. The two most important forms in which vitamin D can be found are vitamin D2 ( ergocalciferol ) and vitamin D3 ( cholecalciferol ), both of which have very similar biological activity. Ergocalciferol (D 2 ) is of vegetable origin, while cholecalciferol (D 3 ), deriving from cholesterol , is synthesized in animal organisms .

We produce vitamin D using sunlight. We get less sunlight at higher latitudes during winter. The incidence of depression during the winter increases.
Some of the happiest places get the most sunlight.
I just heard a report about the pandemic that said Hawaii had the least number of deaths from covid per hundred thousand people, out of all the states. They get a lot of sunlight, year round.I
Also, as a side note, lifeguards and other people who work outside in direct sunlight all day can receive well over 25,000 IUs worth of sunlight per day. So any notion that you can have a toxic dose needs to be reconsidered.

There is no way litlle human beings would not need vit d3 for their growth. Data is surely available somewhere.
I recently checked out the need in vit D3 for cats and came with interesting informations. Indeed cats and dogs and others animals need it, the pets food is almost always supplemented with it.
But before supplementing a cat even more, one has to be extra careful because vit d3 is potentially harmful in big amounts for cats. Products for pest are full of vit d3, it will kill rodents and also your cat if the cat has eaten it by accident or eaten the rodent.

I can second that - this information would make an already very good video perfect. The same applies to incompatibilities, i.e. are there vitamins or minerals that one should NOT take together with Vit. D but maybe later in the day?
I know Vit. K2 was mentioned in earlier videos from Dr. Berg about Vit. D, but frankly, I do not want to watch all of those 5, 10, sometimes 15 Video about the same topic just to get all and sometimes conflicting information - conflicting because science develops and new things are researched and better understood, and so does Dr. Berg, I actually very much like that he can admit he was wrong or unprecise. But while I like this, I would much prefer to have a "one-stop-video", which has all the latest information compiled.

Vitamin D is not a vitamin, right? If your body can make it, it can't be called a vitamin, and in fact it is a secosteroid hormone. All these dosage numbers being thrown around are so arbitrary, since no one really knows what the body needs or wants. They test storage D in the serum when storage D form is stored in the adipose tissue, so the tests show nothing about how much D you really have in the body. The active D test is more accurate for that, but doctors won't test it. If you make 400 iu of D in ten minutes, that may be all your body needs, however, that number won't stroke the doctors who just picked dosage numbers out of the air and said 'this is what you need', says who, them or your body? You are getting close Berg, but no cigar.

@@madonnafra I don't expect any response from Dr Berg. However, Dr John Campbell has a video where he analyzes a paper from a university hospital in the USA where it shows that there's neither toxicity produced by Vitamin D3 nor hypercalcemia effects on patients subject to very high doses of the vitamin over a long period of time. Also, all of them showed an overall improvement of their health. The intake of large doses over a period of a year-year and a half replenished the body and then, you can slow it down or stop it, which are the effects I noticed in my case. After stopping the ingest of large doses, six month later the blood testing still shows high content of the vitamin, and the positive effect on my skin started to show a couple of months ago even without sun exposure. Dr John Campbell is very serious and responsible and I highly recommend his videos.

One thing I would add, the reason why we are so deficient is because throughout all human history, in the summer months we lived outside, going inside only to sleep and to hide from bad weather. Imagine a house without electricity and AIR CONDITIONING. So, the reason why vitamin D is the most important for us is not because it’s really the most important, but because we lack it due to modern lifestyle. If you ask what is the most important vitamin for many, many poor children in Africa and Asia, that would probably be vitamin A.

How did you find out about fluoride toxicity? I worry about that. I've been drinking fluoridated tap water because I can't afford a filter. I used to have spring water delivered to the house but it's a bit expensive.

21, 1.8m tall, 68 kg. Not so active to take enough sun, and i definitely don't eat much eggs or fish integrate it. I noticed i'm more regular to the bathroom and have less inflammation that some times happened, more stable energy levels and less bloated. I noticed way less cramps at rest and during home workouts that i like to do but i couldn't for them, and it also after weeks i Noticed improved vision.
The effect that i noticed most was passing from less than 1 flag raise a week in the morning, to have 5 of it a week. So even a boost in testosterone levels.

@I'm happy if you see it over a long period of time, it surely matters, in short term through sun it isn't the best because takes time to build up but surely helps. I suggest salmon and eggs to add for vitamine d + some honey in the morning or before going to bed to reduce bowel inflammation.
