WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2008 is a professional wrestling video game published by THQ in November 2007, and developed by Yuke's. SvR 2008 is the ninth overall installment of the video game series based on the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the fourth game in the SmackDown vs Raw series, the sequel to 2006's SmackDown vs Raw 2007, and the first WWE game to feature the promotion's ECW brand.

James, a word of advice and minor spoiler in case you get *THE* storyline around the start of the new year in the game. I was playing through this just last night, and if you end up in the infamous blood feud with the McMahon family and you’re the champion, if Stephanie leaves you a message just before No Way Out with the option to Give her your title or Stand up to her, _DO NOT_ choose to stand up to her and delete the message, as deleting the message makes the game think you chose to give up. Instead just choose to stand up to her, and immediately *SAVE* . This is important if you want those Legend progress % points for the Championship Grand Slam one, which requires winning or defending at SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. I had Survivor Series and Royal Rumble checked off, but couldn’t get WrestleMania title defense because I chose to stand up to Stephanie, deleted the message, and stupidly saved immediately after -- in other words, I was reminded the hard way how choices work in this shitty-ass story mode LOLOLOLOLOL
Also, y’all be making fun of Lashley, but his theme in this game fucks HARDCORE. And yeah, this game came out in late 2007. Orton didn’t debut “Voices” until _RAW_ May 12, 2008.
