Okay so there are some historical inacuracies going on here. First of all in January of 98 there were no acolytes. Faarooq was still a member of the nation, Bradshaw was in the New blackjacks. And honestly I don't think they had even formed at this point in 98 yet. There was no ministry of darkness which is where the APA debuted as the acolytes. So I don't see how they could get this so wrong here.
Just simply a logistics thing really THQ had to send stuff back & forth to yukes in japan and making sure crowd shirts were right and alt attires were right for a small part weren’t at the top of the list for their short dev cycle

Just a thought, I’m honestly surprised that there’s no YT video out there mixing Attitude Era mode and “Austin 3:16” Mode from 2k16 into one big mode. Like take some cutscenes from 2K16 and just go from there. It would have made that video so dope

Chyna should have been in this game. She's missing from many of these cutscenes. I've been watching classic WWF from January 1997 - 2003 over the last few years and have recently got up to No Mercy 1999. I seen these scenes back pretty recently and Chyna was clearly there other than that the attires are a bit off but I guess the game has its technical limits. Still a great story mode but theres quite a few inaccuracies due to WWE BS or maybe just simple contract problems.
