- Ever wondered what playing the entire Def Jam Fight For NY story mode would look like in 1 video? I create a fighter and team up with D Mob to take over the city in Def Jam FFNY. There are fighters like Snoop Dogg, Method Man & Redman, Fat Joe, Joe Budden, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, and even some guest characters in cutscenes & more in this story like Henry Rollins.

Def Jam Fight For NY is the sequel to Def Jam Vendetta, a hip hop-influenced 3D-action game released for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox and is followed by Def Jam: Icon. The game features several rappers, including Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Redman, Fat Joe, Joe Budden, Ice-T, Xzibit, N.O.R.E., Ludacris, and Busta Rhymes, Flava Flav, Sean Paul as well as the voices and likeness of other celebrities, such as Henry Rollins, Christopher Judge and Kimora Lee Simmons. DMX, Keith Murray, Christina Milian and Funkmaster Flex were the only artists from the original game that did not appear in the sequel.
It's crazy how many people are going back to play this game in 2022 I'm glad this classic never got left out of the forefront of gaming
It's really one of my favorites. I can go through the whole story in a hour or two on easy but man hard is kicking my ass

@@DevinRosa bruh on my momma fat joe was so damn hard, but I knew once I beat him I was at least halfway through the game. The only move he did was the wwe triple h pedigree move.
I literally wore out a PS2 playing this game. It was like Fallout. Make new character, play story mode, make new character, rinse, repeat. Once you figure out how to mix fighting styles it's all over. Also it has the best roster of fighters since Fatal Fury 2. Rollins Style 4 Life.

@@AyeVerse Also Martial Arts has to be your first style to unlock some of the more exotic style combos; my personal favorite is that apparently MA + streetfighting + wrestling = drunken boxing (at least if I'm remembering this right from a decade ago)
I can't remember my fighting style combo. I believe it was Wrestling + Submission + Street Fighter. Absolutely brutal style.

@@FelliMania Crack is slow, but he had a shyt ton amount of defense, no matter how fast you are, he always timed his blocks and counters. You had to time your attacks.
@@NeroLunar no lie bro the first thing I do is max out my speed. I can literally play this story on hard difficulty and bet my life on it 😂. I get the 100% trophy every time. This and NFL Street 2 are my fav games of all time lol

One of the greatest games from my childhood played by one of my favorite UA-camrs. What a time to be alive.
This game is actually (IMO) a great way to train and discipline your skills in defense, counters, crush counters, wake ups, and randoms/combo mixups for the tougher games like SFV(SF6 now). Too bad the 3quel didn't hold up like the first two.
Wins feel well deserved in this game . plus the difficulty was just right .no matter how many times I played it . it was always the right balance .
This is my favorite game of all time I have so many memories of playing it as a kid

I hope Geta, who was credited as a Supervisor on this game and as a director on Def Jam Vendetta (as he was on the classic AKI N64 titles WCW/nWo Revenge, WWF Wrestlemania, Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, and WWF No Mercy, etc,) is able to influence the AEW game to be as challenging in his role with Yuke's as development advisor. I found Yuke's old legend mode to be a little cheap and counter heavy rather than a real challenge at the higherlevels like Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 is. I also liked the 6 levels of difficulty over the basic three. To top can be Elite.

To me this is One of the best fighting games EVER! The innovation of the story line, the customization, the synchronization between wrestling and mortal kombat (or any fighting game of the time) and of course fighting with your favorite rapper. They need a remake with old school and modern rappers. Ludacris vs Da Baby or TGrizlly vs Big Pun or Cee Lo Greene vs Morray. All in all, we need a new Def Jam.

Still the best game ever. It brings you into it's world. You start talking and thinking like the characters, getting ya drip on and ya bling on, talking dat shit... see, I'm doing it now! hahahahaha. But honestly, the way you evolve through the game and add fighting styles, learning techniques and mastering what you created, there's no other wrestling/fighting game like it.

If you want more points, finish them with a blazing. You have the means. If they are close, use a kickboxing clinch and hit them till they are in danger then use the blazing.
