In my country, magnolia's trees flourish in January. I was born in December, a very cold December, and the magnolia tree near my granmother's house had a few flowers that weren't ready yet the day before. But in the morning I was born, the tree was full flourished. My mother took it as a sign and she took one of them to the hospital, and it lasted longer than any other flower they had there. After that, for years, that tree flourish near my brithday, and my granmother calls me to tell me that my flowers are ready. Her marriage is an old one, like only the old marriage can be. With love, but also routine, and lots of "submission" from her. My granps is a good man, but he's not a perfect husband, and there was some rough path for them in this quarantine. When I saw the title of the song I thought about her and everything she has been through. I translated it very carefully, and showed her the song and explained the meaning of the words, and she started crying, but never told me exactly why. And now this is our song, as before Magnolias were (are) our flowers. When I can, I'll get a magnolia as a tattoo, along with some part of the lyrics of this song. I wanted to share this, and I'm sorry for my bad english :c

Finally, I can unhear "in this racist town" now! Also, this song is one of my favorite surprises of the album! Love it.

Hahahaha i heared that too
Is the name of that song ''in this racist town" or is it a part of the lyrics? I keep searching for the song but can't find
@@laylaa3986 @2:24 he sings the lyrics "and erased this town", which I misheard. The lyric video helped clear it up for me.
