Thank you for this review. I swear 90% of reviewers assume anyone interested in this machine edits 4k video all day and works for NASA, to the point they've made me wonder if the base model is powerful enough for me - an everyday schlub. Now I'm convinced I can just go for it.
I went from my MacBook Air Intel 2020 to MacBook Air 15 inch 24gb ram & 256 SSD and it was absolute game changer and with it for me! I have iCloud+ and external hard drive for the storage and with the 24gb ram it will last me a long time and love how it’s lightweight even though it has a bigger screen. Note: for anyone that says “24gb ram is overkill” I use a gaming monitor and connect a lot of cables for Ethernet and HDD drive which goes up to 13-17gb ram in use and with No overload whatsoever and haven’t had it over heat not once! I freaking love it I don’t think I need to explain further of why I decided to go with 24gb ram RAM > Storage
I personally chose this over the displays on the pro models. This one has a sRGB profile and is far more color accurate, where your stuck in xdr display and cant select any other color profile on the pro models. I don't view hdr daily
For my budget this MacBook Air was perfect. I even tried the M3 Pro and loved that Space Black color. But after using it a couple of days I decided to save myself a thousand dollars and keep my Air. Thanks for the great information
the screen itself is one of the most important reasons to go Pro model over the Air. once you have the Pro 14 or 16 inch variants, you are never going back. plus, if oyu do not go the base model of the Air, you are already creeping up into base Pro Priceline. I have a M1 Pro 14 inch model for two years, it has rarely ever skipped a beat.
Agree 100%! Once you experience those pro displays you’re in trouble 😂 And yeah anything other than the base model air you might as well get a pro for the price
It’s not terrible tbh. You’ll get by but I only mention it because I’ve experienced the nicer screens in my HP and MacBook Pro so I could tell the difference. I got used to it pretty quick

Thank you for this review which is made for EVERYDAY people like myself. I have ordered this device in the base model and I’m looking forward to it.

So nice!! Really adds a ton to the experience!

I’m happy with my M1 Air. But this looks great. Im afraid to go with the 14 inch pro as the display may lock me in and I won’t be able to go back lol
Hahahahaha so true man!! The Air is still a solid screen. Just have to block your eyes when walking past the pros at the store lol
Thanks for the review. Are you okay with the fingerprint issue?
You’re welcome!
I didn’t find it a big issue tbh
I almost pulled the trigger on spending almost three grand on a Mac. I came to my senses just in time.😅😂
How is the screen bad. Isn’t this the same screen as the pros? The liquid retina??

I don’t get reviewers comparing this as a pro model,it isn’t . If you want a pro model get a Pro. Nice take on this .👍🏼
Thanks!
Did you get the base model? Or?
15” base model
@@techlift_ Thanks 🙏
