The marine cams have nearly the same specs as Corvette cams. They are designed to help the engine make power wide open but also idle decent. So there is a difference. Google HT383 camshaft and you’ll find a thread about the Vortec Marine cams.
@@moccasinmarine the 260 horsepower is designed for low end torque to get the boat out of the water. It has a 15 pitch prop. Its not a high speed boat. I just wanted to make sure my valve adjustment was gonna be ok.

So because it's a mercruiser the cam is marine. Does that that make a difference??
