So nostalgic! I learnt how to apply makeup watching your early on make up tutorials 😅 I am a Gen X( born in the late 70’s) and we never had access to or were not allowed to wear makeup ! I remember wearing makeup for the 1st time on my wedding day 😂 I have always been comfortable with a bb cream( remember the days of Garnier 3 shades), blush, mascara & kajal ! This was a lovely , fun video! Thanks Jovi , loved watching it ! Sent it to my GenZ daughter for her thoughts too 😃

I feel even all beginners wear makeup as millennials becoz as a beginner they jus start learning about concelar foundation blush contour and highlighter, once a beginner learns to do decent makeup they start knowing less is more in makeup... Correct me if i am wrong!

As someone from Gen-Z I usually do set my face with a pressed powder and mattify my face (because i live in Kerala and the humidity is no joke) and then i follow if with a TON of setting spray with a dewy/ lumi matte finish at the end because i still want my face to be glowy and dewy 😅😂
Im in between millennial and genz. Never wore makeup till around my marriage where i was looking at prospective grooms so i started then😅. I got good at it enough that i can still do a full face for a function but mostly i keep it to an eyeliner and tinted lipbalm on top of skincare for a daily routine. Entire getting ready including bath and hair takes 30 mins 😅 . I remember thinking my acne and the redness around my cheeks were so cute in contrast to the kohl eyes in my school days. Was never bothered until i hyperpigmented and then i started learning about skincare from a friend then you in my early 20s. Now clean skin ,good habits and the occasional breakouts during my monthlies keep me going. It has been an interesting journey so far with you akka

I'm zellennial - born in 1996. My everyday makeup is the Gen Z side because I only have 5-10 mins to get ready 😅 But if I have 30 mins to get ready or there is a special occasion, I'm definitely doing the millennial side.
Millennial here (early 90’s baby) - but makeup skills are more closer to ones you mentioned for Gen Z. Have never applied foundation (except my own wedding) and use skin tints usually Using same tint on cheeks and eyes Ignoring eyebrows 😂
@@MrJovitageorge I agree but every time I try it, I end up making a mess of it! The clear gel I sometimes apply but it doesn’t fill in the gaps and makes no sense. The best way I do it is brushing with leftover mascara after applying it to lashes. But it is too much of an effort for daily makeup. I do it for important meetings only. Also, my eyebrows elevated my wedding look to another level. I always thought I have good eyebrows and don’t need to do much for it but when the MUA did my eyebrows in my wedding functions I was mind blown looking at how beautiful they looked!!

Late millenials are just the 80s again and recent gen z are 70s. Everything old is new again. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. But very happy to see the caterpillars over the eyes have been laid to rest ( for now ).
I agree with all the points except the blushes. For us 90s people, blush was only an occasional thing. but now people are doing it every once in a there bare face, and doing SO MICH OF IT omygod.🤦🏻♀️ they’re going allll over the cheeks and nose and calling it “sun kissed “😅

You have a good hand on millennial makeup. Millennial makeup is quiet like exploring multiple shades on your skin it almost demotivates me to do makeup. But gen Z is like “less is more” BUT we are super hands on 90s early 2000s make up 🤌🏼

Word of advice: Please don’t ignore your eyebrows. Shaping and defining them can make a huge difference to your overall look.
