Honestly, you came across bitchy and judgemental in this video. For a person who suffers from mental health issues, you are putting out very unhealthy opinions by making these 'comment on celebrities' type videos. It reminded me of that horrible video shwetha and you made, making fun of a beauty parlour that was run by a less fortunate person, which you have now deleted. As you yourself have said about your own life online, what you see is but a very, very small segment of their lives. You don't actually know them. I know you are going through something (and I hope that you will find health and happiness again) but that's no reason to project your misery on to anyone especially when they are not in the conversation to share their reality. If you want to share your experience with narcissism to educate and caution other women, please do but stick to your personal experience. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see better content from you in the future.

Hey Jovi, I am an old sub, like your attitude, your videos but this video comes across cheap from someone like you. It's definitely disrespectful and has a judgemental and bashing vibe. You are a celebrity too and you know when you put your personal life out there, you must get so much judgement from people, so its really shocking to see you doing the same thing.I dont follow either Alia or Ranbir or their relationship but may be comparing it to your failed ex reltionships is not a positive outlook of life. Your content for this episode is literally just judging and bashing someone's life and marriage. If you want to talk about mental health or narcissism you should talk about your relationships and how you feel about it, instead of dissecting others relationship which is disrespectful and hurting for them. Let me make it clear, I am nobody's fan here.I appreciate Alia, Ranbir and you 😊. Love to you❤

Hi Jovi. Been following your channel since a long time now...but this video really didn't seem like you. May be you should take a break and genuinely work on your mental health, since you mentioned that you're not doing mental health wise. Please don't project your insecurities and bad mental health phase on any actor (as if Alia Bhatt is not dealing with enough from random trolls).

24:22 I'm sorry but its going too harsh! Even normal beauty content creators i follow do so many no makeup makeup looks with soo many products.. Never once are they judged but just coz its a celeb "oh let's shit about them"
I have been doing the lipstick wipe off thing since years nd i know ppl who do that too incl deeper skin tones nd it genuinely works so well but now that alia showed it "oh it looks so fake"
I'm just trying to say maybe if things work on some ppl nd it doesn't work on you say it exactly like that instead of shitting on the other person coz you didn't like it or it doesn't suit you! It may work on many others but coz you as a famous influencer said it they might take it nd think they are wrong

Love you Jovi, but the whole "pick-me" thing was so unnecessary. Ofcourse you were sharing your opinion and we respect it. But a celebrity being transparent about not using much of foundation or showing their silly way of putting on a lipstick does not make them a pick me girl. A pick me is someone who condescendingly talks about being different than the rest. Simply talking about you doing something differently than others definitely does not make you a pick me girl. And she nowhere in any of these videos talked condescendingly about being different than other girls. She simply shared what she does. Yes ofcourse, they do get some extremely good treatments done, they eat the best, workout, take supplements, some even have the best skincare. Irony is, she mentions she's not a psychologist and is not a mental health professional. @happygolucky3988 8 місяців тому +2

lol true , but I think she kinda clarified it’s only based on those events that we all have seen or heard , which let’s accept sounds like it . But yes , maybe using the term narcissist could have been avoided when we are not fully sure of the reality . It’s also that at times when we try to relate things we see and hear on public platform with our own personal experiences , it gets mixed with emotions and a side of us truly believe it’s true ..

    • @anamikakhan593
      @anamikakhan593 8 місяців тому +2

@@happygolucky3988 I completely understand that. But just because it "sounds like it", does not mean it really is. And after clarifying that it's simply based on those events just shows she clearly read too much into it. There's a reason why actual mental health professionals after years of education need time to even find if someone really is the way it appears on the surface level. So after clarifying she's not a mental health professional, and mentioning its just those events she's speaking about makes it even worse. Because labeling someone as a Narcissist is NOT a small thing that we can just ignore. It's a VERY serious assumption. And the way everyone's acting like it's not a big deal blows my mind. And I suppose it's because in today's times, it's trendy to diagnose people you've never met with serious conditions/disorders like, OCD, Narcissistic personality disorder, ADHD, Autism etc, simply on the basis of "events" they see them in on the internet. Even besides that, I'm sure you must've noticed how condescendingly she spoke about almost all decisions of Alia, name calling her like "Pick-me-girl", "she things she's cute". simply for sharing how she does somethings differently than other girls. Clearly this video wasn't made with the best intention. And Alia & her marriage was just used here for her to churn some content for her social. There wasn't anything relevant about this. You wanna talk about Narcissistic abuse, please by all means go ahead and do it. But don't talk about while giving example of someone you don't even know as a matter of fact is a Narcissist or not.

@@arandomgirl2933what Alia is doing is her business. Yes she has a platform but that platform is because of her work. She doesn't have a show like the Kardashians. She's here to work, let's judge her for that and let's talk about that. If her marriage is toxic it's none of our business. She is a grown adult who can take care of it, she has her family. We don't need to discuss and obsess over celebrities's marriages so much. Some parts of their lives are private and let's respect that and leave it alone. If she hasn't talked about her marriage being toxic it's not fair for us to speculate and make her marriage a dinner table conversation. Because even your point of "promoting" a toxic marriage does not make sense when she literally is telling people that it's not toxic. If the little girls watching this are confused, it's not on Alia. She is not people's mother. She is an actress and she's here to act. The little girls simply need to pay attention to her profession and work, not what happens in her marriage. Just because someone is gonna pay attention to your private live does not make you obligated to live it for them. I'm not supporting being in a toxic marriage, but this is her CHOICE. And a woman's personal choice must always be respected. If she is telling me she's happy, I'm not gonna sit and analyse if that is true or not or pay attention to her marriage. If anyone pays attention to her marriage then they themselves are responsible for what they learn, Alia isn't. It's her marriage and she can do what she wants with it.

Guys I think you all misunderstood Jovita. What I think she's trying to say is that whenever there is a fair girl, human being, celeb...they do try to emphasize on the point that they don't like make-up, don't put a lot of makeup, trying to subtlety prove the point that their skin's enough. But honestly don't we all come across such girls who, if they are blessed with good skin, good height of have fair skin, they won't directly say that but they would slightly put it out that they don't have to bother about certain aspect because they have got that in perfect amount? C'mon we have all been there. The thing is if she has got good skin, she should say it directly rather than saying that she doesn't need makeup and then go on to put make-up. Or, in fact we all know they won't ever go on screen without makeup. So? Why pretend that you don't need or do makeup or know anything about it or is illiterate about the makeup when your work is surrounded by it. That's the point and tbh it is frustrating to see this because this again motivates the behaviour of feeling superior by having the privilege of being carefree when it comes to makeup etc
I am a fair skinned girl but I am always aware that I should not think of myself as superior because of my skin tone. That's just conforming to societal ideal of beauty not in direct but indirect way.

Wow, how immature and unprofessional. Trauma dumping, projecting and obsessively labelling phrases like “narcissistic abuse” despite not being a professional. Saying “I love you Alia” in the end doesn’t negate the disrespect, especially coming from a mature woman with more life experience. This isn’t even “gossip”. Talking shit about a young, happily married (by her own choice), incredibly successful actress. Jovita chose to keep the details of her divorce private, the public don’t know the whole story. But not every man is her supposedly “narcissistic abusive ex husband” and neither are all happily married women in traditional roles “victims”. Like someone else suggested here, Jovita probably needs to take some time to deal with her own issues. Unless this petty video was about generating clout 🤡 then congratulations.

I've been a long time fan Jovi, and maybe I'm engaging with this post by commenting, which , in many ways, I don't want to as well. But, because I've appreciated you and think that you're capable of intelligent conversation, I'm writing this comment. This whole thing is very distasteful and honestly, a disservice to real victims of narcissistic abuse. These could have been two separate videos - one of you recreating Alia's look and the other about narcissistic abuse. Or you could have even just picked up the ongoing debates on narcissistic abuse after Alia's statement and then generalized it without making personal comments on her.
I think you're unique, especially in the way you call out brands when they're not inclusive or when they overadvertise. I think you also sell yourself as a unique content creator who is honest - that is why we as an audience like you. It's the same for Alia. If you don't have that X factor of relatability or quirkiness or honesty, why would we watch you over anyone else? It's the same thing for Alia. She also has to advertise herself as something. She's not considered the sexiest or most good-looking actress and she knows that. I think she's quite cute and pretty, but that's not the general opinion about her. So she emphasizes her quirks, which appreciate just as I appreciate yours. Does that make you a "pick-me" too? Or maybe it makes all content creators/celebrities that.
Now maybe you did not have an agenda or even dislike towards her and that lipstick comment became too personal for you, and that's a completely valid reason to talk about your own (ex) abusive relationship. But this just seems like an over-kill, maybe unintended, but it seemed like you were out to get her on the "oh she uses so many products and calls it no make up" or "oh she gives me pick me vibes." Please, do better for us, if not for you. And remember, you're too liked because you have something that makes you unique and special, just like Alia very much is.

The reason why i stopped subscribing to jovita is this horrible relationship advices given by her. There are always two perspectives. Here jovita said Ranbir is rude for saying his wife have a good lips color so why a lipstick. There is other way you could take that information. He probably complimented his wife's lips and asked her to stop ruining what she has. Now as a wife she listened to her husband bcz life is all about mutual understanding. Feminists like jovita will never understand mutual understanding and love. Maybe jovita was in a toxic relationship but for a person who said that they dont like to publically share information of divorce,it clearly shows revenge mindset.
Next about therapy, i have gone through shocking and devastating moments in my life but it was me who decided to take a stand and move on. Jovita was on therapy for many years and yet she goes back to being in bad mind. It shows therapy is not worth investing. You can change when you put your mind into it.
Also unless you are sure of what type of relationship you were in you cannot compare your life with other person and say that person is in that relationship. Jovita is probably taking other people's emotions and projecting as her considering the state she is in now. And this is common psychological effect that happens to people who are not in a good state of mind.
I never liked when jovita started advising people bcz it felt she talks about micro emotions of herself. There is always other side for every story.

Since you spoke about therapy and stress...
The DSM is based on american culture particularly those of european ancestry because of course those were the study subjects ( men in college especially in the ivies). All the major names in psych are ashkenazi. You cannot discount cultural influences when it comes to human psychology. I would take almost everything propunded in the DSM with a large sack of salt. Less than 28% of their material is replicable due to its subjectiveness.
This is not to discount the importance of mental health or seeking help. However keep in mind that every psych in india has trained exclusively on material in the DSM without an iota of input into it or adjusting for cultural input. The slightest sign of opposition or a difference of opinion is now considered an ' ism '. They merely parrot what the dsm says. The world is not suddemly seething with narcissistic men. One could counter that social media has exposed the highly narcissistic, look-at-me tendencies inherent in the human female.
And about yours being the most stressed out generation. These are the easiest and most pampered times in human history. Lets talk about actual stress. Your grandmother's generation walked 5 miles one way to school, even during their period ( without a plethora of mentrual options. ) They feared predators both animal and human just going to the bathroom. They didnt have easy access to potable water or eclectic food. They didnt live in climate controlled homes with indoor plumbing and sanitation. They barely had childhood immunization or access to modern medicine. Their generation died of cholera and TB and saw their children die from diseases that are preventable today. And you say you are the most put upon generation. No they have lost their coping mechanisms. & the need for validation beyond compare would be the reason for the large sales in anti-depressants for women 40 and under.
    The make up is fine.

Wow thank god this video is over! I mean seriously these youtubers tell people not to judge them based on what they put out on youtube, but yet here you are doing the same thing. There was nothing wrong in that video and definitely not a single "pick me girl" vibe from Alia, but you still managed to put so much hate towards her. If you really think Alia has "pick me girl" vibe, then I would say we all girls have that pick me girl vibe.
Watching this video reminded me of someone who feels envious of a person and tries to manipulate others opinions to hate that person. I don't mean to bash you or anything but when you have platform and a huge number of subscribers then you should know better and think a "little" more on the content you are making. Also, what happened to "girls supporting other girls" or was it just a trend and its over now and people are back at bitching?
Also, what is this about Ranbir being narcissistic based on few things you've seen on the internet, you don't know him so can't just give him a tag of a narcissistic person. If you really want to talk about narcissism just stick to your own experience or just explain narcissistic behaviour in general.
Even if you are going through something, its not an excuse to put out so much hate and these unhealthy opinions out there. Please do better next time!

I know you have some bones to pick with alia bhatt but being a makeup and skincare expert u shld know that skin tints and foundations lie on two different sides of the same spectrum in terms of coverage, pigments, skincare gone into it and many other factors.

i am on fair side of skin shade and i never got that sun-burnt glow, i get dark patches so it's a very specific skin which gets that glow. so yeah, also i loved your analogy of narcissism, because if you are a beauty-blogger that does not mean that you can not talk about the woman issues and mental health. As a blogger who have reach to a huge audience you had appropriately used your platform to talk about these issues.

Jovi herself looked so lost and confused while talking.. maybe her cat was trying to stop her from talking.. Jovi told like three times in this video that she herself is not in the right mental space.. I find it ironic she is talking about other's mental health or awareness. Hope she gets therapy and recovers soon as I always found Jovi is so fun and lively, would love to see that again

even in the latest koffee with karan i found her cringey and ignorant maybe because of her constant blockbuster success but nevertheless she is a fine actress.also kareena appeared to be toned down a bit maybe bcz of PR image & recent backlashes & trolls

Not a cat person myself so of late have found myself losing interest or slowly gravitating away from your content since there is a lottt of interference during ur video recordings which sort of breaks the flow and the content loses its gravity… its just a sugg that since this is ur professional space u cud keep the beauty related content a bit more professional, featuring ur pet much less and have a separate channel maybe for a more casual pet indulging blog. I know she is extremely close to ur heart so i dont mean anything in a bad way or out of hatred, maybe its just my inherent fear/dislike towards cats but i used to enjoy ur earlier videos muchhh more when it was extremely fun but at the same time very professional.
