I defintely don't show how excited I am on the outside lol. I also wasn't too stressed about the rd schools bc I had gotten into some good schools early!
congrats on all your acceptances and even your waitlist!!! i could tell you wanted to smile after each acceptance, its ok to celebrate and show your emotion!!! wherever you decide to go will be lucky to have you!
You remind me of my 14 y.o son, who is always poker faced but is very funny and cynical! I think you're pretty funny too! Congratulations! Please make a stats video so the students (like my son) can benefit from your experience. TIA.
Congratulations!! I'm currently a Junior this year and I'm def stressing out about the college application process. If you could make a video about either the college application process or even your high school grades and extra curricular, that would be awesome!! Congrats again!
It’s hard to make videos about those things because everyone is different. There are a lot of factors that go into the decision making process. The essay is one of the most Important parts because you have to show the schools that other than your grades, you are applying here because you genuinely want to go there and not that it looks good on a job resume. Let me just say that very few people are going to care about what college you go to. As long as you do the work efficiently and correctly you’ll get paid what you are worth. Secondly, different colleges will care about extracurriculars differently depending on the type of college. You see the words Liberal Arts and if you wrote for the school newspaper, won an award for something art related, or are genuinely interested in the idea of humanities, you’ll probably get into those schools more than the other schools. Now it’s not because you didn’t have a good application, it’s just you didn’t align with the vision the school had when it was first built. Third of all, it’s a lot easier to get into these colleges when you have a lot of positive things on your side. Being apart of a legacy gives you a higher chance of getting into that college but it’s Minimal. Having a good counselor to help you with applications and test prep will allow for your test scores to consistently improve. All in all you don’t need to waste your 50 dollars or whatever on a college you don’t want to go to. I advise you to do some research, try to tour all of the colleges including safety schools and then pick there. It’s hard when people get accepted into a college only to realize they hate it and all that money and effort goes to waste. You also can look to going to a state school to get your pre requisites meaning your mandatory classes like humanities, college algebra, chemistry, etc, because it will both save you money and the stress of being in a big university. Look for feeder state schools to go to a college or university of your choice to start so you can focus on your majors in your dream school. Other than that try not to worry. You have about four or five months before first admissions really go out but if test scores concern you, take the SAT or Act. Keep in mind the sat is more problem solving while the Act is more traditional testing via your prior knowledge to the subject. Other than that don’t stress. You have the summer to tour so take advantage of any opportunities you get to see the college or meet someone who went there. I hope this helps!
Congratulations! Don't know you at all, but I would imagine you would thrive at any of the campuses. (You seem most pleased with Stanford, but I'm pulling for Yale! ...even if Stanford is like going to university at a health spa.)
Congratualations Sohan!!!! You have done an excellent job!!! Now the hard part, deciding where you are going to take your talents...Lol!!! Good Luck on your future endeavors...Peace and Blessings🎉✌🏽💖🙏🏽
The college process is NOT a random process. Have a strong application and you increase your chances of getting in...it is not that hard and it is not random. Congratulations young man and enjoy your college career.!
@@judeayo1806 It is HIGHLY subjective. What happens when you don't have enough spots for all of the qualified candidates? Admissions teams have to resort to miniscule details and subjective tactics to ultimately admit their class. Harvard likely has enough impressive applicants to have an up-to-standards class eight times over. Are you suggesting that Harvard takes an objective, replicable approach to determining which ones get admitted?
@@isaiahdoble4182 suggesting that admisssions resort to miniscule and SUBJECTIVE tactics is making a mockery of and not understanding the whole admission process.
