The dream school thing is so true because when I got into Howard I’d gone from dreaming of Brown to falling in love with HU. Whilst I can’t afford to go to college anymore, I’m so happy for my offer & im hoping to reapply in a year or so because now I know I don’t want to be anywhere but Howard.

there is normally a fee for a college application that can get up to $100 each! i was fortunate enough to get a fee waiver but some people can’t. ofc if ur applying to only 5, you wouldn’t want to do all reach schools and have a safety or two.
BTW the nine colonial colleges are Harvard 1636, W&M 1693, Yale 1754, Pennsylvania 1740 (also known a PENN N O T UPENN), Princeton 1746, Columbia 1754, Brown 1764, RUTGERS! 1766, and Dartmouth 1769.

tbh there were a bunch of reasons! uchi was a lot more generous with their scholarship and they’re currently higher ranked. even tho ranks don’t really matter, i did take it into consideration when making such a difficult decision!
