He is one of the best speakers, I don't know what you are talking about. He is very very relatable, non-arrogant, and...careful with his words. He is extremely intelligent so I think he has to dubb a lot of things down, on top of trying to be accurately honest. A lot of folks just put on aires, runned by emotions, or are not careful about being 100 % truthful. My dad always said think before you speak, this man does.

It’s about being authentic
I used to think the future would sort itself out for me. The job, the money, the family would just fall into place. The truth is that our actions are what get us to where we are. Without deciding to open my first investment account, I probably would have spent that money on BS. Save and invest early, not because your money will accumulate longer, but because it's hard to save when accumulation is easy. This is a behavioral argument, not a mathematical one. I think the hardest part is to "work like hell" without knowing if what you're doing will succeed.
That is possible if you are doing what you love. For elon he loves tech so there’s less friction. Failure doesn’t bother him much. But if someone who doesn’t like computers but tries to copy elon then forget working hard, he will constantly think about the future. So do what you love even if it’s being a sweeper and forget what the world will say and dont follow anybody
If you believe in your product/service, you will work like hell convincing yourself you will succeed.

I've just bought my first share in Tesla. A bit pricey at the moment but I'm sure its a value the company will grow into. Anyway, the prospect of making a profit from it wasn't my main motive - I beleive in what he's doing and I see it as an investment in the future - ours and the planet's.

After his success, Musk did not simply rest on his laurels like his "heroes" did.

Yes, I noticed that in the last minute of the interview ... at first I felt this little burst of anger at his "heroes", then sadness that they would say that to him, but finally it is inspiring that you can be hurt by criticism but it doesn't mean you stop what you're doing

It's so sad at 11:30 you can see as if he's trying to hold back his tears. Clearly he really looks up to those men and he was let down. I have so much respect for this man.
I remember when i watched him on rogans podcast, Joe would throw out this completely ridiculous hair brained idea, and Elon even though im sure he knew Joe was fing with him - he would somehow flip it, and figure out a way for it to technically work - the cars on magnets in a tunnel scenario comes to mind lol.
Now im thinking that no matter who hes talking to he doesn't want to discourage them, or criticise ideas because he knows how he felt when it was done to him.

I don’t know him, but he seems like a very genuine, sensitive guy. It was hard to watch him holding back the tears... He was young then and I hope he learned that you cannot base your happiness on somebody else’s approval. I like to listen to him talk. I find his voice very soothing.
