However I told him no corporation will hire someone claiming they are an engineer if they don’t have a degree. My dad was a self-made engineer and was renowned as one. A. "A pupil gets taught everything in details with no curriculum choices. A student gets taught a lot but has to do some foraging and they have some curriculum choices. A scholar gets taught nothing, they have to do all their own foraging, and they make their own curriculum."

The internet. I also need to point out the fact that school does not teach creativity, which is a valuable trait that every innovative inventor should have. People in school who are in the autistic spectrum will inevitable suffer in school because it does not fit their way of learning and just as I said in the beginning school is too much of a structure for them, but don't get me wrong some people need help in managing themselves and once can confidently do it on their own then they can venture into the real world.

This is how I learned AutoCAD and other CAD programs. My first employer gave me an old computer with AutoCAD and Vectorworks installed on it and said "Go learn them...play around with it." It took me about two months before he was able to give me actual work to do. Fast forward a little over 20 years, and I now produce Architectural and Structural Engineering drawings both privately and Freelanced to one of our leading Engineering firms. Funny enough, other than English and Basic Math, I have had no need for any of the other subjects I was taught in school.

I see this happening in my sons' schools. They are taught math concepts which appear useless and study history that seems also useless. But I agree with Musk that students are not taught "why" they are learning something. When my kids get frustrated now, I explain to them what the purpose of the assignment/task is, what the curriculum is trying to teach, to provide some context. Hopefully, this makes the learning more relevant and motivates them to continue working with the material. Education needs to be reformed to explain why, not just the what of learning.

Ya they like to solve some doubts but for completing that syllabus and nothing. I'm now happy that ☺now I'm interacting with different things in education and now love to learn anything. I wouldn't be able to act upon given situation in a proper way if it wasn't for that college. I wouldn't be able to think 10 steps ahead with the background of the degree that I have. I believe that the most important thing is to develop curiosity in all directions. The current purpose of education does just the opposite. It groups the similar and directs them in one direction... It's sad, few people actually remain curious after formal education... That curiosity or as they call it the "inner child" must be preserved.... My respect to whoever finds it a model by which it would be feasible.

❤️ 💙 💜 Been a public school teacher for 25 years. I loved interacting and teaching my 5 to 9 year old students through hands on learning (acting, playing, arts, drawing, origami, painting). But teachers are not allowed to use other curriculums besides the stated adopted ones. They are strict to teaching and finishing in the alloted time scheduled so students can take their end of the year state tests. All in the name of comparison to see how badly children learn. America public education is so dogmatic. In order to resolve this issue, the whole society has to come together and eliminate government and political management/control of education. I am awake to how bad and controlling America public education is now. Most education would cut art, music, sports or anything getting students to be creative due to budget. And I finally resign/quit because too much stress/anxiety to continue to be a caring teacher with the dogmatic rules and regulations that are not relevant to effectively to teach kids and for kids to learn in a fun way.

Reformation of school's education is at an all time necessity. Too much fruitless information is being obtained through social media & schooling. Unless the individual fully understands what information they are pursuing it is no different from mindlessly being brainwashed & having all creative learning be obsolete. To learn with a passion is a gift.

Memories just gone when people spoke of times if there were no photos then I'd not even know what had occured and it was sad because as others were happy about the memory I couldn't share it. So what I'm getting to is I went on a journey to learn and since I had a clean slate I taught my self to only store what is needed and honestly it works. Just takes consciousness because majority have lost it and are on auto pilot. Breathing and slowing heart rate helps by aging slower along with bringing peace within.

Even my teacher told me that the basic education (elementary school & high school) was not that. Very important and it was just to train a person on how. Education vs. Learning - there is a big difference.
He‘s mostly right what he says. On one thing i don’t agree: Homework.
I did Homework always in the school… after class, before going home. Why?
Because after 8 hrs of learning in school, your brain needs time to integrate, to process all those informations. This was before the internet.
I even never learned before a test, because i learned everything in school, i follow every class with the maximum awareness. it worked.
Everything that i learned after school, i did by myself… because of interest.
We need to stop educating children and start to awaken their capabilities and interest. Learn to be a problem solver.
