The only thing i dont understand is the red dotted line part, does outside of the red dotted line means it wont be printed or is it just the line part that dont get printed and it prints outside and inside the line
The red line is where the card will be cut - hence you need to set the card up with bleed before exporting to png. Watch my bleed videos for more details on this.
@@DextrousGameDesign Thanks guys! I’ve actually joined your discord and asked that question as well and you guys have been amazing thank you very much !
When I put my card images onto the card design in MPC, the image looks so blurry when there are no warnings. Are these normal and okay and will the card be printed in the original quality?
Hmm honestly it's impossible for me to tell without looking at the pngs. Do the raw pngs that you uploaded to MPC look blurry? If not I reckon you're fine :)
i am a bit confused, with the back side in MPC, it says left on the right side and right on the left. i have cards with numbers on them, do those need to be mirrored to come out right? or is it like the right side of it when you look at the front
Hmmm this is a good question actually - I'm not sure sorry. I'd recommend reaching out to mpc and asking to clarify this as it would be annoying to get this wrong in the print
Hi Marty are you referring to Make Playing Cards "Custom White Border Poker Sized Cards"? I'd recommend controlling borders from the Dextrous side of things. You can certainly export cards with borders on the backs from Dextrous - but maybe I'm misunderstanding your question here. There's a guide for adding card backs in Dextrous over on our discord, and I'm planning to make a video on it soon as well. Discord guide: discord.com/channels/937922643552784414/1184792875620388914 Hope that's helpful!
Would this work for doing custom player cards for Zombicide? I've made a LOT of customs for Marvel Zombies and I can't print them the way I want where I am at, so being able to print them through this would be a Godsend for me. I am just worried it wouldn't be accepted because of copyright issues.
I'm not a lawyer and it'd be worth reaching out to Marvel, but afail it's likely ok to just print cards for your personal use. It's usually selling stuff with other's IP that is the big no no.
Hey mate, see this tutorial on using card backs. www.dextrous.com.au/Tutorials/#card-backs FYI there's a big update coming very soon and it affects card backs. It's not out yet, but in a few days time you'll want to watch this one: ua-cam.com/video/ciOaoDxqE9A/v-deo.html
You can click “change layout” to switch to one back type.
Cheers!
Good tip. Thanks!
Need this, thank you so much!
You're so welcome!

Thank so much for this tutorial!
Glad it was helpful!
When I export to png it looks very blurry… please help 😢
This one should be resolved. It was a temporary glitch.

Also worth noting the pngs dimensions in pixels
@DextrousGameDesign the pictures in my gallery looks high quality, it's only when I put it on the card designs then it looks blury
this is exactly what I was looking for, Dextrous is a great tool, but do i have to go pro to edit individual card layouts? i think i missed a step
No you don't have to go pro. If you still need help with this, hit us up in the discord and we can sort you out :)

If i had to guess i'd say yes it's the right side when you look at the front
that is also what my conclusion is. thank you
Can u make the cards with boarders on both sides? I just see option for cards with boarder on one side only

Oh wait i see, you're wondering if mpc would print the cards - definitely send them an email to double check - they might have a policy against it yep
Sorry I'm on my phone so i assumed you meant just printing at home
The only part of the whole process i dont understand is the part for where to create the card backs, is there a tutorial that i missed?

the export images, is there anyway to control the name or number the images are? especially when you print with different components
The name should follow whatever the 'card nickname' column is (with a number so they're unique)
ik heb paar keer geprobeerd om een winkel daar te maken maar is echt moeilijk, hun platform werkt niet klantvriendelijk
Do you mean you've tried to print cards?
