- Just a small video about steps in composite restoration for my undergraduate students. The video is recorded under microscopepe in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences, K.L.E. Academy of Higher Education & Research, Belagavi
This video of Aspire 32 is made by Dr. Suresh Shenvi who has cleared various exams like ADAT, NBDE from the USA, DHA from Dubai, and various Indian Entrance exams like PGI, KCET, NEET. I am MDS in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics by profession. I am also an author of dental books on the entrance exam and I am also currently a faculty at KLE University and a receiver of the best teacher award. He also has a private practice at Shenvi Dental Clinic and Specialty Root Canal Center, Belgaum, Karnataka.

#aspire32, #sureshshenvi,
Hii,❤️, Im following u since my first yr ..now am doing my internship..thanks to u for helping me clearing out my subject very easily.....now am preparing for Masters, so pls cover more and more videos it's my sincere request....ur videos makes my concepts very easy and I fell very happy while solving my mcqs... ❤️❤️❤️
So happy to hear this :). Will surely try to make few more videos
Hello . Great video. Just s single question what is the device you use to pack the composite incrementally into the cavity called
1. in selective etch , it's 30 sec etching for enamel and 15 for dentin right ?
2. after etching , How did you rinse , was that air + water simultanously ?
3. after applying bond, you air thinned it , but doesn't that go against elastic bonding concept ?
Thanks for valuable information.
What is the bonding agent that you used?
Sir should we make the floor flat for composite and gic restoration also should we maintain convergence of the wall for retention?
For composite u dont have to make flat floor
Sir I've a doubt..
For amalgam restoration we need upto 2mm depth for its proper strength.
If the caries is not too deep , or say cavity preparation is about 1mm around.
How do we plan for amalgam restoration in patient ??
Pls watch my fundamentals of cavity preparation series on Aspire32. I have explained it
Thanks doc really helpful ! Please do more clinical videos like this one :)
Sure..thanks for the feedback :)
Thank you Sir for the demonstration. Sir a bit of confusion here. Sir, can we use the 5th generation bonding agent with Selective Etch technique since the mild acid in primer is sufficient to modify the smear layer in dentin without its removal as you described in your previous videos on Dentin Bonding agents..
5th generation bonding is always used with total etch. Only 6th and 7th can be used with self etch or selective etch
@@Aspire32 Thank you Sir, that clears my confusion.. ♥️♥️
@@DrShahid-Shafi welcome
Which instrument is used for shaping composite filling
Did you find out?
Very useful clip.. sir plzz upload more clinical videos.. 2 question do u give cavosurface bevel in this video ? And is the floor flat ?
Occlusal surface we dont bevel for composites in conventional composite prep
Why the flow able composite first? What is the purpose?
Since the viscosity is less it will adapt better in line angles and point angles
@@Aspire32 Thank you Sir
Welcome :)
Sir what is the purpose of curing bonding agent there aren't any initiators or activators in bonding agent so what's the reason what light does to it
There are curing components. Bonding agents can be either chemical activated or light cure
What is that white color ?
Plaster
Dr. Can you make a video about composite repair, when i do DME with Tofflemiere and then remove it , some blood gets on the restoration, what should we do then ?
Use rubber dam. Or use astrigent
What does etch do
Pls watch etchant video on Aspire32
Yah so many high points
Was not sure so many will watch it. This was just about bonding agent
Curing time for bond,?
It depends on brand. Generally 10 to 15 seconds
Why does not any liner use?
Its not a deep cavity
Why composite is sticking with your instruments?
They don't stick nowadays unless the instrument is dirty.
@@Aspire32 sir my hand instruments are all clean still when i use them to place material in teeth, material just stick to instrument please help me
Which composite r u using ?
why is a lesser percentage of etchant not used for dentine since 37% phosphoric acid can cause postoperative sensitivity? why the selective etchant technique is not used as discussed in your previous video?
This video is about total etch technique. People still use total etch technique. Few dont.
Do we need to apply adhesive after putting each layer of composite again and again? Please answer
No. Pls watch this video to understand why its not required

🙏
Terrible sound quality along with too much camera shaking make this like a video to confuse more than teach. Plus you don't mention the steps properly. How many seconds for irrigation and how is the irrigation done? Water and air together or first water then together?
Completely agree with you..never thought people will actually see it more. Do check the new videos of other treatments. They are better
Dude water and saliva should not touch
TF is this??🙂🙂
