I have a question that has been puzzling me lately and cannot find an answer in literature.
do we need to use dual cure bonding adhesive with dual cure resin cements and build up materials?
for example when cementation of a fiber post with build up cement material ,
if not, then how does the bonding agent set without light , does cement polymerization activates the bonding agent to cure as well ?
Wherever light does not reach u can use either chemical cure or dual cure bonding agent with dual cure cement.
4:31 did you mean 10% polyacrylic acid? that is used as a conditioner for GIC restorations nowadays I think, right?
Yes

That mostly wont happen since the layer is already coated with a bonding agent and gic will be prevented from coming in contact with the tooth
Bondint agents are not required with the restorative gic. Only conditioner is needed
Ok, but the etching paste will provide a good surface prep for the GIC I assume?
Yes. But it creates microporosities which are not penetrated by GIC.. Gic just needs removal of smear layer which can be done with weaker acid. Thsats the conditioner
