Oh it’s fine as long as the teeth or tooth is class III but the caries is through-and-through then there’s nothing wrong about that. But if the caries is only lingual/palatal then the dentist must prep in the lingual area only, also in the facial.

Great work. I brace myself watching these type of dentistry videos because where I live, all the dentists say is they can't repair cavities like this or any at the gum line and I've been forced to let them decay til I can't bear it any more and get them pulled... as I was told was my only option. I've lost all my molars now which immediately makes the gum recession worse all along my front teeth. So I'm left with little hope they will last.
All my dental disease began 3 years ago after visiting a clinic to have a filling repaired. Within 2 months I had developed Lichen Planus triggered by amalgams. At least that is the working theory. I've combatted dry mouth with biotene mouth wash, gum and an expensive sugar free "candy" called Xylimelts Oracoat for dry mouth and never have dry mouth. Fanatical about my flossing and brushing routine yet they keep insisting I need to floss and brush more or that it's dry mouth. It's NOT! It's this disease that's caused open lesions in my cheeks on on my tongue. Decay spread like wildfire in such a short time and without a decent dentist... they've only shrugged and watch as my teeth were destroyed. Told I can't have dentures because of this disease so now I can't even chew solid food. It has to be mashable with my tongue and 1 bicuspid (have enough of an overbite plus tmj that front teeth can't do the job of breaking food up such as meats or firm things. Despondent and and helpless to to find a fix
