Great review Super Robot Ed!! Sandstorm is really impressive. Fingers crossed that we get leader class figures of Broadside and Octane. :D Keep on being amazing.
Man, good stuff as always. You know, the original G1 toy is really good ~ one of the best in its class, really. In my mind's eye, this new toy's Buggy Mode is meant for Action Masters (or any similar 3 or 4 inch TFs) as their large accessory/vehicle; and his chopper mode is Micromasters/Legends/Legion friendly (with the cage interactivity even). We could ironically put the Legends Beachcomber redeco as Sandstorm with this to bring even more juice to the party! I hope kids will imagine this level of play to make the most of their parents' hard-earned money spent on expensive plastics. Stay 'stormy'...but keep out of the 'sand', mate! 😂
It's sad how much this thing costs...Hasbro is full of S#!t if you ask me. Its not even decent but it's faithful...maybe toofiathfulto G1 so they going to release another one with a toon head the rumor is.
@superroboted Fingers crossed, my bro. Only a parent understands the true burden of toys like these... The sheer sacrifice & skill needed to balance finances, which rightly ought to be channelled towards ensuring a child's brighter future...in a constant tug of war with putting a big smile on your child's face to brighten up the present day in the full knowledge that they would not stay a child forever... PS. A leader-price-justified swappable head feature would have saved us loads of moolah (and heartache), man. Anyway, it's a double win for the corporate diablo now! 😈💰💰👍
Excited for this one in about a month unless shipped early. Never got the T30 Sandstorm, however the Springer was a solid and good attempt at updating a triplechanger for the modern era. Personally I thought the Legacy Blitzwing was leaps and bound better and more cohesive than the T30 if not the one after it. Does pretty much everything the G1 did to even the quirky toy accurate bits in land and flight mode. Transformation doesn't seem quite as involved on Sandstorm, though all three modes look to work out well. Despite the high price tag, the quality plastic, and large PVC wheels that have a purpose in both vehicle modes make him look well worth it. Can't wait to see what happens with 86 Springer as it's now been confirmed to be a retool/partial of the Siege release which again I don't own. Really want a Legacy Octane in the LC format in the next year or two.
Nice review! I wonder if they’ll redo Broadside as a Titan Class? Need a new Octane, be nice if Hasbro re did Astrotrain & Blitzwing and add Octane as a 3 pack! Wishful thinking
I got him Friday & he is good but not great I bet we get another one with more of a toon head & paint job down the road! It’s awesome to get a G1 sandstorm ! For the alt modes he has they did a great job!
T30 is inferior, very inferior evento the mold it was remolded from. Disproportionate weight, lack of modern articulation, plus the alt modes look exaggerated, and I like the figure. It's biggest issue was stability in robot mode. Legacy Sandstorm is far better if you're going for true G1 aesthetic, but if you want IDW, then it will be T30. However overall I'll take Legacy anyday
Sorry y'all, the very last portion did not record!! It really ends where it ends.

Octane is my favorite the legends version as a clear ghost of Starscream headmaster that is rare now
@@superroboted He's my favorite of the Decepticon triple changers. :D

Man you're rolling out the videos 😎.
Had to get these reviews done

At the price point a multi pack would be costly imo....but new SS'86 deco would be nice for Blitzwing and Astrotrain.
As much as I love the legacy version, I personally think that the generations version is better.
I like aspects of the Generations, and I like aspects of the new one too. But I Can see why a lot of people prefer Generations.I'm keeping him as well.
How is the plastic? I imagine the new ones are similar but have flex in the plastic. The old one sounds hard but sounds like it would crack.

Yeah I hate when hasbro does these incremental minor updates...ughhh
Dude's wearing those orange CCDC slides.
He orange-y🤣
For the modern triple changers, where is *Double Dealer?* Wasn't he part of the WFC Earthrise line? 😁
Who?!?🤣🤣🤣
T30 Sandstorm is leaps and bounds better than the new one. Joke of a leader class the new one is.

waiting for a more cartoon accurate version so he looks better with my 86 figures
Rumor they may release one with a toon head, but he won't be '86
